"REMEMBER TODAY...
FOR IT IS THE BEGINNING OF OUR FOREVER."

Hi, My name is Meghan and my EDD (Expected Due Date) with my first child is on July 5, 2008. My birthday, my husband's birthday and our anniversary are all in July so why not think that our miracle would be born in any month other than July. LOL

Andrew & I were married on July 28, 2007 on the beach in FL. We knew we wanted to begin our family early and God Blessed us with the opportunity quickly. We are thrilled, along with our families, to be expecting this wonderful new little life into our family.

We found out we were pregnant on October 28th, our 3rd month anniversary. Since we were trying to conceive, we took the weekend that I should have been having "the visitor". I took the test and Andrew and I watched together as we saw two little lines come into view. We were ecstatic, hugged, cried and couldn't wait to share the news. Immediately we told my parents as they were in the house with us, then we called Andy's parents and told them.

I've been really Blessed so far because I've not had any real m/s. Twice I was sick, but it was very brief. In the first two months, I was pretty tired most of the time but that seems to be passing.

The first u/s was amazing, as I'm sure it is to everyone. We were able to hear the heartbeat for the first time at 13 w 6 d. As I'm sure all parents feel, it was the most amazing sound in the world. Andy recorded it on his phone and we listened to it over and over again. I'm so glad he was able to record/video the heartbeat because we were able to forward it to family and friends that don't live near us.

At the start of my 14th week, I definitely have a baby belly and have had for a good many weeks now. I'm eating well but haven't gained much weight yet. Actually I think it's redistributing itself into my belly. I've not been able to wear my jeans since I was about 6-8 weeks! Thank goodness that stretchy leggins are working for now. The maternity pants don't really fit yet, but the jeans are a no-go!

The baby started moving early. I would have to say like the first 10 weeks. LOL. Now that I'm in my 2nd trimester I haven't really had a whole bunch of movement. He/she seems to move early in the morning.

I hope everyone continues to have safe, comforting and Blessed pregnancies!

Here's a message I wrote to our baby. I want "Rookie" to always know how loved he/she has and will always be.

Loving note to an unborn miracle. From Mommy.
Current mood: loved

Hey little guy,
I just thought you should know that every morning when I'm laying in bed and I feel you move and kick you bring a tear to my eye and a smile to my face. The first time your daddy and I saw you on the ultrasound screen we knew we were blessed to have you in our life.
I want you to know that no matter what happens in your life mommy and daddy will always be here to protect you. Even when you have a nightmare about "the big red koolaid guy" know that daddy and I aren't and will never be too far away for you to run and climb in our bed.
You are our little miracle, our little cuddlebug, our little Rookie. I know that you will grow up fast but just remember to take one step at a time and enjoy life. And know that no matter how old you are or what life throws at you daddy and I will be behind you every step of the way and no matter what path you choose we'll always love you the same.
We can't wait to meet you, and I can't wait to hold you close to my heart as you did when you were in my tummy. You always hugged my heart when daddy and I went to the doctors for a checkup the doctor had a hard time finding your heartbeat when she found it you were so close to mine that the heartbeat seemed to be synchronized.
Well my little Rookie as you keep kicking me and flipping around you let me know that your as happy as can be in my tummy. And you'll always be safe and warm near mommy and daddy. Know that we love you more then life its self.

Love,
Mommy

P.s: I can't wait to meet you face to face and kiss you all over and make funny sounds on your tummy and kiss your little feeties lol.

The voice of reason - lol. I appreciate it. I am just worried hearing some of these women just trying out all these different remedies without having done their research. I get scared for them and their babies. Let's hope no one is getting themselves into trouble this way. I'd rather wait two or even four more weeks before I would risk harming my child. I hope you and your "rookie" are doing well

We are doing great. i am still living at the hospital with him, and he might come home tomorrow if his biliruben level (jaundice) stays down. i am pretty sure we are coming home tomorrow, they did his circ today and his hearing test is tonight...good signs b/c they usually only do those things the day they leave, so it looks like they are getting him ready for tomorrow. i will be very sad if we have to stay another night, it has almost been a week now. you were right last week or whenever you said it, when you asked the ladies why they wanted to induce themselves early or whatever, it isnt worth it. it is really heart breaking to see your baby hooked up to machines and being put under special jaundice lights... it made me cry some in the beginning. and he wasn't even critical, they were just being cautious.....early deffinately isn't a good thing...except the labor/delivery was probably a lot easier then it would have been.

But Im excited and really happy to be raising our son at home.

Well, each country has its pro and cons, you know? But at this point The US has just a few more "pros" than the UK. And oh, my am I NOT looking forward to such a big move with a new baby! Its just so expensive to live here - to give you an example gas costs $10 a gallon!

babystanton - Sunday, 8 June

That's funny so you are kind of hoping it will all stay in July?:) There is a chance ours will be born in August but I doubt it since I'm carrying pretty low right now... not sure if the baby has dropped or what. If he's 2 weeks late (which I know no woman really wishes in a pregnancy!) he can be born at the hospital right near our house - they are opening their women's center like Aug 8th or something. That would be cool to have him the 1st baby born in that hospital. I think he'll come early though. You're right, just as long our boys are healthy what does it really matter when they are born:) Hoping all goes smoothly for you!

cinnammonngirl - Friday, 6 June
Yeah, that's a funny pic...cause that's the only time I've really done that, and of course my husband snaps a pic of it! :D

blessedmom2b - Friday, 6 June
Hi I'm from week 33 but I saw your post in week 35. I feel ya! I'm due July 22, my hubby's bday is July 10, my birthday is July 17, his dad's bday is July 15, and both of our grandmother's have birthdays in July!! We are so exhausted once July is over with... we were really aiming for an August baby due to our July's being so full but you can't help when you ovulate! We will probably just end up celebrating the baby's birthday in July and maybe ours in June or August! :) So I know how you must feel!:)

HillaryB - Thursday, 5 June
