Hey Girls!!! I had my baby girl on Thursday November 19th at 10:31 am :) She was 6lbs 14oz and 19 inches long! I love her so much!!! I will post pics soon!

Yeah it is scary. Well things have changed, the economy is not what it used to be but still the US Dollar has it's advantage and if you have cash then South Africa is a good country to invest in. My husband is from Serbia, we met in South Africa he's been here for 3 and a half years. Yeah i've travelled quite a bit thanks to my father who is a complete nature freak hehe we go everywhere! He's actually in Botswana now. We were all gonna go somewhere for the December holidays but can't with Aleksandar. I loved living in Poland and Seattle was beautiful! I think Washington State is probably the most amazing place. Skiing on the mountains and then coming down and it's hot! Cape Town has very strange weather we can have winter, summer and spring all in one day! Gotta go again

Thats an interesting point. I am definately in love now but I was so scared, nervous, depressed and just a whirlwind of emotions for about a week. I thought it would get worse but i've brought myself out of it. I kept feeling somehow that I would hurt him or do the wrong things and it scared me. I never really held a baby before and I kept thinking how fragile he is but he's alot stronger then he looks and I really am in love with him.

Well I guess Africa and South Africa are two very seperate entities to try to expain... Although we have high violent crime levels in the poor areas and it also comes to the nice suburbs we live very nice lives that look very much like the States. I was born in New Jersey, moved across the country when I was 3 to Washington State where I lived until I was 8 and then we moved to Europe. My father is Polish so we lived in Poland for about a year. We came to South Africa afterwards because the exchange rate was so good my dad became very wealthy overnight. He buys land and develops houses, hes now semi retired- travels all around Africa. My mother was born in South Africa her parents were French and Welsh but she was orphaned at 3 so she has no family. I consider myself what my father is- Polish as my family lives in Poland and I guess you are what your father is... Look I don't see the crime everyday or the poverty but when I go to the shops for example there are about 100 men and women (black) standing on corners holding boards saying JOB. I have a maid that works one day a week for me which is something I would never have somewhere else. As for the heat. Yes it does get hot in summer- 30-40 degrees celcius but in winter there is alot of wind (I live in Cape Town) and it is icy cold although there is no snow. I know you probably hear about all the horrors in Afica but I have been living here for over 10 years and I have seen how barbaric they are- killing eachother and being absolute violent so I have become numb towards the blacks. I have been attacked twice- once at knife point and my in laws had guns to their heads and we all live in beautiful houses but our security is high. Electric fences and alarms, panic buttons and patrol cars watching over us. You get used to everything but when foreigners come here and say shame look at the poor black people and ho they live... I say you know nothing! Wow I really have so much to say about this topic and I will tell you as much as I can but I gotta go now. Aleksandar needs to eat and be changed. Chat later.

Thanks to all who answered my blog and discussed this horrible tragedy of Shaniya. I pray for all the children out there that have to subjected to abuse and pray for all those people who know tht a child is being abused and do nothing for them. It's beyond belief that their are over 200,000 children in the US involved in trafficking for sexual purposes. These poor children never get to feel loved the right way.

Hi! How you doing with your two little princesses? I had my little baby, his name is Aleksandar Sasa and he's now 12 days old! We are a very happy little family and are starting to get into a routine slowly... It's great that you want to help like that and I will definately see what I can do... I guess this is in America cause I remember JC Penny, it's a clothing store I think. The problem is I don't have a credit card and neither does my husband but i'll still check it out. So many needy children especially where I live in South Africa- lots of poverty. I give my old clothes away to my maid and her child they live so poorly. Lots of AIDS in SA and these people die very young so sad. My father goes every year to the townships where they live in shacks and gives the children candy and some toys... they are very grateful. It's really great when you can help a bit.

ok so today I was suppose to ahve my fluid levels checked but the ultrasound lady was out sick so they had my reg 35 week appt and rescheduled my u/s for wed at 4. Dr said my contractions are fine at what they are and if baby comes now he wont stop it! I think he believes im gonna go early but so does all my fam but I dont wanna jinx myself because of course everyone wants to think they are gonna go early. I cant believe I only have 35 days left!

ok anyone experience this? Ok so my fluids are low and im on bedrest but since thursday i have been gettin braxston hicks with cramping and last night they were more severe than the night before but they arent consistant they will go every 5 min for about an hr or two and than stop and hour or so later pick up.. just wondering if any of you know what that means

Ok so I had my 34w appt today and I told the nurse I had felt a little leakage but none in a few days she contacted my dr and they sent me to labor and delivery the hooked me up and i was getting contractions every 3-5 min Dr told her not to give me a shot to stop them becasue i was so far along and if i went into labor it would be fine well they sent me to ultra sound and found out my fluids are low so doc ordered bed rest and sunday I have to go in for a non stress test at labor and delivery and than monday i have to go see him for an ultrasound to see if my levels are still low (: Im pretty sure that if they are still low they will keep me there on complete bedrest and if they continue to stay low induce I only say that because my cousins wife had a similiar problem.. we will see
