Tomorrow we go to have our Anatomy scan. We `ll also find out the sex of our Little One!! I `m so excited I can ` wait. I `m leaving work early to make the appointment and hope the day goes quickly. And hopefully the Little One will cooperate and show us the goods! :)

This is my first entry on my page! I `m not well versed in this blogging thing, but here goes. . .We had a doc appointment this week and got the results of our Integrated tests. All is well with the Bambino and I don `t need to get a sonogram. Next week we have the Anotomy scan and find out the sex of the baby!! Cant ` wait. The baby `s been wiggling around all day, but I `m still waiting to be able to feel it from the outside. Hubby `s only been able to feel it once or twice. Soon, I `m sure it `ll be kicking away!

Thursday, 14 Feb

We had our anatomy scan and we `re having a boy!! Hubby couldn `t be there and had to work, so I had the sonotech check 3 times to make sure. And they gave me a picture of it, but I won `t post it as he `s my little guy and we `ll just keep that in the family :). We `re both soooo excited! Anthony is bursting and my family is overjoyed. My father-in-law needed a `moment ` and my mom and family even sent a bouquet of `it `s a boy ` balloons! This is going to be one spoiled little man!

Saturday, 23 Feb

I have not commented in a while. The baby has been kicking away. Now that we know it is a boy, we are both so overjoyed! It feels so weird, but wonderful to feel my little guy kicking his mommy. He kicks when he likes something I eat or when he hears his daddys voice or when hubby touches my belly to say hello to his little guy. I `m loving being pregnant! We feel very blessed.

Tuesday, April 22

We've got 9 weeks to go! It's really starting to go fast now. We got the nursery furniture this past Saturday and my hubby and sister Tina put the crib together. It's so real now. We both go in there a few times a day, just to look at it all. I can't believe it's almost time. We're both so excited and can't wait to meet our little guy! Anthony's a little scared, so we ordered a childcare DVD with our Lamaze DVD so he'd get a little prep course. And I took care of my youngest sisters, so we'll be fine. The little guy is kicking, punching and wiggling around all the time now. But I love it! This pregnancy has been pretty great and we passed our Glucose test a few weeks ago, so I can still have ice cream. Sleeping is starting to get uncomfortable, but it's still managable. I can't believe I'm going to be a mom soon-it's so surreal. 9 weeks!

A newborn's conversation with God

A baby asked God, 'They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?' God said, 'Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you.'

The child further inquired, 'But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy.' God said, 'Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy.'

Again the child asked, 'And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?' God said, 'Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak.'

'And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?' God said, 'Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray.'

'Who will protect me?' God said, 'Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life.'

'But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore.' God said, 'Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you.'

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, 'God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name.'

God said, 'You will simply call her, 'Mom.'

Ohmyg - SOOO good to hear from you!!! The 16th huh? Congrats my dear - that's wonderful news - I cant wait to see pictures! Um, yeah - the epidural is mandatory - I cant even IMAGINE doing that w/ out drugs! My labor was about 20 hours... I had my membranes stripped on a wednesday at 2pm... started contracting a few hours later but nothing major. Contractions were 2 to 5 apart lasting anywhere from 40 seconds to a minute... so we waited... they started to get slightly more uncomfortable so I got in the tub... still timing them but hard to feel in the tub w/ the warm water... eventually they started getting worse and worse and worse... and WORSE so we paged the midwife at 11 something and told her we were headed to the hospital. I was admitted just after midnight, got into my room at 12:30ish... go the IV, ect... got my epidural around 1:30 am and a few hours later my BP crashed - 55/29 - I wasnt feeling so hot! The dr gave me a shot of epenefrin or something which brought my BP back up but raised Tylers HB... after a few hours everything leveled out. Midwife broke my water at 6:15 and started me on petocin... around 11:35 I was fully dilated and ready to push, right as everyone (my mom, hubby and MIL) had left to go get lunch - LOL! Thankfully they made it back in time and I started pushing around 11:55am - he was born at 12:32pm on the 26th, 6 lbs 15 oz and 20 inches long. I saw him crowing in the mirror, touched his head too... then I helped deliver him after his head/shoulders were out - AMAZING birth experience! I absolutely LOVE my midwife and am so thankful she was there to deliver him. I hope your birth experience was just as great as mine - It's so good to hear from you - I've been thinking about you non stop wondering when you'd log back on and let me know your son was born! I know it's tough w/ a newborn so I totally understand!!!

Thanks!! I woke up at midnight having contractions (not timeable) and had diarrhea... thought maybe that was the start of something but I ended up calling back to sleep and was fine. Got up this am (we took the day off for our anniversary!) and felt super sick to my stomach - almost flu like - bleck! After nodding off on the couch I felt better when I got up, but now I dont feel so hot again. I thought I'd read somewhere that nausea and diarrhea are signs of labor but my midwife said not so much the nausea, just diarrhea - and it's not even so much diarrhea, more like loose stools. ANYWAY... had our dr's apt today - I'm still a 1 and 70%... baby is at a -2 still so no change at all from last week. Her prediction is still 41 weeks - oh gawd, I'll die!!!!!!!!! ANYWAY - look at the progress you've made girl - I cant believe it!! How freaky w/ all your contractions - sounds like you were on the right track, and then they fizzled out huh? How are you feeling today? Any more contractions? I read something about pineapple also - nothing that's prooven by dr's though like sex/walking... I've got a cut up pineapple in the fridge and one on the counter - perhaps I should pig out on pineapple this weekend!! Hubby is a little weirded out by the sex thing though (even though we've done it a few times in the hopes of starting SOMETHING!) and walking KILLS my hips! I always end up feeling SO sore afterward that I'd rather not even bother w/ walking. Anyway... keep me posted please! I know you arent on the site very much but I hope to know that your son is born before the end of the summer!!!

Holy cow - you've progressed a LOT!!!!! Last wednesday I was @ 70% and 1 cn which was a good thing b/c the week before I was a big fat NOTHING!!! Congrats on your anniversary - my 3 year is this coming wednesday (the 11th) and we also happen to have our next appointment then as well! Too funny!!! So how are you feeling??? Lots of contractions?? I had a lot yesterday - well, not a LOT but more than normal. They are fairly uncomfortable b/c I feel them in my back mostly - I know I'm going to have horrid back labor!!! Are you sleeping @ all?? I'm not - cant get comfortable. I wake up every few hours w/ horrible hip pain so I'm constantly shifting positions in bed, and getting up to pee of course. Certainly waking up w/ a newborn is better than waking up b/c your in pain! Sigh.. guess we'll all find out soon enough!!! Good luck if I dont hear from you before your little one is born - sounds like it could be VERY SOON!!!!!

Ohmygosh - T sticks his but (or back) out ALL the time! I thought it was his head also but thank gosh it's not - he's still head down, from what I can tell! I have a fake ring I got @ Walmart a few years ago. We went to Hawaii and didn�t want to bring our nice jewelry so we wore fake stuff - LOL! That ring is only a 6 though and probably wont fit. I haven't even tried to be honest. We get all our jewelry @ Jared and get the service plan with it so the resizing is always included for free. Yeah w/ the engraving, resizing is probably not a very good idea!!! I'm glad you said that, about the menstrual cramps - I had those off and on ALL day yesterday and thought it was odd. I've had them on/off throughout the pregnancy but haven't had them for quite a while. Wonder if I'll have more today� I'm excited about next weeks appointment to see if I've progressed at all! I'm hopeful and am going to ask about membrane stripping. I heard that can help things move along b/c my midwife is against inducing and I really don�t want to be prego past 40 weeks!

Haha - well bless your heart for doing all the cooking ect for everyone! 6 lbs already? Wow! That's cool you got another U/S - sadly, I wont get anymore! I hear you on the uncomfortable thing� I've felt REALLY low since about 28 weeks but I guess this past week (the 34 week check up) really proved it. I go back next Wednesday for my 36 week and am curious to see if I've dilated at all. I've started swelling too but mainly just my right leg/foot. Not bad, but enough that I beg my hubby to rub my feet at night - LOL! Oh dear - yes, the rings� I refused to go w/ out mine also (I DID go w/ out for a week or so and felt naked w/ out them!) so we got them resized - from a 5 3/4 to a flipping 7! Not sure I needed to go THAT big b/c at times they are slightly loose (not enough to fall off though!) but at least I can get them of w/ out soaping up my hand and rinsing w/ cold water! Aside from all that I'm feeling okay. Tired, but okay. A good nights sleep is getting more difficult to come by� I woke up 1 minute before my alarm this am with hip/back pain. For the first time ever, I was glad to hear my alarm go off b/c I knew I needed to get up and walk� ugh! How are you feeling? Are you getting excited? 5 more weeks - I cant believe it!!! Holy cow - I fear it's going to be another sweltering day in my office. I better go get some ice water and turn on my mini fan! Have a good week!!!

Dont' feel bad I don't come to the site that often. today was an exteme due to me trying to learn how to change some things on my page. I'm doing great 26 1/2 weeks preg. a little over 13 weeks to go. Congrats on your first child. 6 pounds is healthy don't worry about having a big baby- he will only get as big as your belly allows. good luck on your 5 weeks left.

Well thanks! Glad to hear yours was good - sounds busy though! My hubby and I went to the in laws house for the afternoon and ate dinner with them. Pretty low key and relaxing actually! How have you been feeling?? I had my 34 week apt yesterday and my measurements are off. @ 32 weeks it was 33 cn and this week it was just under 32. She thinks his head is in the birth canal so the measurements are off. She felt around on my belly and doesn�t think he's small for this stage in the game so she isn't worried. I've definitely felt more bladder pressure in the last several weeks, but have felt like I'm carrying super low since 28 weeks! Anyway, aside from that everything is going well. Hope you are doing well also!!
