Hi there,
I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.
We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.
If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.
You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Friday, 12 September I know inducing sounds great but be careful! The drugs they give you to induce (usually pitocin) are known to increase labor pains horribly. So if you aren't sure you want an epidural I would really think twice about inducing because it won't be normal contraction pains. If you are willing to use the epi than I would say go for it!! I am also having my first baby, so I can't tell you from experience. But everyone has told me that through contractions you hardly feel the epi. They also numb the area with another pain med before they give it so it isn't as bad. Good luck! TPandBaby -
Friday, 12 September about the family thing, I truly understand where your coming from! It's weird how a pregnancy can make some people in our families act. They give their in put (which more often than not is the complete opposite of whats in our own minds) and don't really understand that these situations are different for every to-be mom. I feel ur pain.

Tuesday, 2 September I asked my doc today about the tenderness "down there" and she said it is the weight of the baby, and it could get like that when the baby is big or when the baby has "dropped". REnee11201 -
Tuesday, 2 September Just wanted to tell you that I had the same thing going on and since I didnt remember having soreness on the outside with my other pregnancies I asked my doc and he said it was completly normal.. sharra -
Tuesday, 2 September My doc told me around the 7th month is when you want to start to rippen. If it starts early it gives your body time to adjust. I think acepting the soreness makes it better. So surrendering to it makes it part of the process. Just think, if we had our babies soon- like in the next 3 weeks we will be fine. I have seen babies that are born this week, like 35 1/2 weeks and they are so developed. Most are around 6-7 lbs right now. Anyway, don't worry embrace it and you will most likely adapt easier-sore then not sore because your bady adjusts. Take care. dyamond -
Tuesday, 2 September Sure, I wont forget. I 'll let you know asap! dyamond -
Tuesday, 2 September My guess is its from all the pressure thats being placed from the baby's weight. I doubt its from going to the bathroom alot. I drink a ton of water too like I always have a glass of water in my hand morning, noon and night and I just doubt its that. I see my one of my doc's tomorrow and Im going to ask her about it. Tuesday, 2 September Hi, Im from week 32/33 and I just saw your comment about a sore vagina. Im not as far along as you and I've been having the SAME soreness! Not really inside, but outside right? Its hard to explain, and I know this might sound graphic but I feel the soreness in the "lips" down there.

Saturday, 26 July Hi sadie, not sure if you were still reading the week-by-week forum when I responded, but with the help of a few other ladies on here, I've put together a list for hospital bag on the top of my profile page. Please feel free to take a look. Your comment also sparked some discussion about what else we need to have, for Baby. sharra -
Saturday, 26 July Hi, yes I have had that pain, not too bad. I would use warm and cold compress, both are safe and use tylenol. You might be able to use a sports cream too. ShaunaDear -
Saturday, 26 July Hey I read about your belly button issue. I am only 22 weeks but have an extremely sensitive belly button. I used an ice pack to just dab on and around it, you know, don't just let it set there and make belly too cold. That helped so much! It numbs the pain right up. Hope that helps

Sunday, 6 July mat belts give lots of support to your muscles holding your belly up... including lower back... but once those get the support needed, everything else starts to feel better too. If you have a maternity store in your town they usually carry some... try different ones on first and just see what works. Good luck! gr8scottswife -
Sunday, 6 July Yes. I'll be getting one from my chiropractor this upcoming week. beatlebabeplusone -
Sunday, 6 July just wanted to say nobody is perfect, no matter how much you want to do everything right everyone makes mistakes. Just remember the nappy/diaper goes on the bum and the bottle/boob goes in the mouth and your half way there. Another tip don't be afraid to ask for help/advice :) As for the maternity belt / belly band i'd say go for it, it can't do any harm and if it doesn't work sell it on ebay :) hotpotaaaaato -
Sunday, 6 July yes, you should try a maternity belt... not a bella band. Mat. belts give lots of support gr8scottswife -
Saturday, 5 July Belly bands are to cover your unzipped pants. What you need is a maternity belt. sharra -
Thursday, 26 June That seems wrong. Ask them what was your bloodsugar reading from the first draw. call them tomorrow. You have a right to know. If it was high or low they have to tell you. It maybe the lab messed up your sample. Let me know what you find out.

Thursday, 19 June hI! The doctor also told me sudafed and robitussun dm (but the pharamacist recommended not to take the robitussin - it can thin your cervix.?) - so I took sudafed... hope you start feeling better! thx4grace -
Thursday, 19 June my dr said sudafed, robitussum dm, and Tylenol when I was sick and about the same gestation as you gr8scottswife -
Friday, 13 June However, I will say that since the beginning practically, I have felt subtle menstrual-like cramps periodically. This week, they have been a little more intense, which is to say that they are more noticable but not too bad, and a little more often than all the weeks before. However, I'm not concerned about it as long as they don't stay for long periods of time, like over an hour and come even more frequently. I just get the feeling that my little one will be arriving early, not too much earlier, but early, just by some of the things, like B-H, I am having sooner than others.

Friday, 13 June You may want to check out the information on the Braxton-Hicks' forum. It talks about how the B-Hs should feel and when to take it seriously.
