I am new to this site - it might take me some time to get used to it. In September of 2007 we found out we were pregnant - My husband and I were so excited. We went in for our first ultrasound and the doctor told me it was to early to see anything that I needed to come back in about two weeks (once the baby has grown). Well when I went back on 12/21/07 (the worst day of my life) the tech that was doing my ultrasound could not find anything. So I went up and talked to my doctor and told me I was having a miscarriage. He said it was a blighted ovum. I was set up to have a D&C done two days after Christmas. Well on Christmas night I start to bleed REAL bad. They rushed me to the hospital and did an emergancy D&C. They told my mom and husband that I had lost so much blood that I almost had to have a blood transfusion. It was one of the worst things I have ever had to go through. I have never cried so much.
So my husband and I decided that we would not stress about trying but if it happended then it was meant to happen. Well guess what? I guess March was the month for it to happen. I am PREGNANT. We went to the doctor on 5/9/08 to check everything - We got to see the heartbeat. I started to cry - I was so happy. My midwife said everything is looking good. Well that is where I am now. I will be sure to keep everyone up to date on my status.
6/6/08: We went to the doctor today and had an ultrasound. The doctor said everything looks good and when I go back in July we should hear the heartbeat. My little peanut was all over the place. It was just wonderful to see it.
7/9/08: We went to the Doctor for our check up and everything looked good. The baby had a strong heartbeart. When we left we made the Appt for 8/6/08 to have an ultrasound to find out the sex. I cant wait.
7/10/08: Ok well me and my mom could not wait until August to find out. I made an appt to go have a 3D ultrasound. 15 weeks is early to see what the baby is going to look like but you can find out the sex. We found out it is a GIRL!!!!!! My husband and I are so excited. My son was not so happy but I think he will come around and be the best big brother to her.

Hey, I just read your post. Cramping IS normal, as long as it's not severe with bleeding. I know you already know that I'm just saying it so you'll reassured! I lost two babies last year, a little girl at 21 1/2 weeks and another baby at 7 weeks. I know it's hard not to stress but we have to stay positive for our babies that are with us now! Good luck, I'll be praying for you!

I hear ya'! I lost Twins last year...no sign of anything at all and went in for a routine U/S and they were already gone. Its a stab right through the heart and you feel so helpless. BUT I'm now 5 weeks 1 day and keeping my fingers X'd!! And I agree with trying to stay positive and not freak ourselves out! I get a day where I cramp a bit then nothing! Its weird. Last night I sneezed and got a really sharp pain in my lower right side and freaked thinking maybe its etopic or something. I try not to think the worst because there isnt much we can do about it except stay healthy and try to be calm. My fingers are X'd for you!!! :)

heey hun jut read about ur cramps
i didnt find out i was pregnant till around 5 weeks (i know its early lol but i was convinced i wasnt as i had bad BAD cramps n thought my period was playing silly beggers (my grandpa had died n id had to organise the funeral so i thought it was stress)
when it didnt show up i did a test to make sure i wasnt but turned out BFP i went to the doctors n was sent for an early scan coz of the cramps and to see when baby was conceived etc
point in the long winded message. loads of ladies get cramping pains in eaelt prgnancy its normal hun, just take it easy etc. n u know ur preggynow so u and the docotr can keep an eye on it

Both times I found out I was pregnant, I had mild-to-moderate cramping from about a week before AF was due until a couple weeks past. Sounds normal, but we all understand the worry!

I have been getting mild cramps off and on for a week. I haven't talked to a doctor, but everyone I talk to says it's pretty normal, it's the uterus stretching.
