Hi, I am Sally, I am 24 years old and am pregnant with our first baby. My husband is Greg, he is amazing and the love of my life. We married in December 2005, which up to now has been the best day of my life, we are looking forward to our new experiences as parents and can't wait until September when our baba arrives!

We live in Essex in England, we have only just moved here though, I am originally from Lancashire. We moved in January due to relocation for Gregs job. It is hard as we are miles from our families but it was definitely the best decision and we are settling in well.

I am 16 weeks pregnant at the moment and my due date is 01.09.08, my morning sickness has finally gone and I am feeling a lot better. My first 3 months I felt awful, really tired, low, and very sick! I wondered if what I was feeling was normal and was worried all the time, every slight twinge I was panicking, but luckily everything i was feeling was normal and baba is fine! After our 12 week ultrasound me and my husband were both so relieved, we both cried as soon as we saw our little creation, it was very emotional and we can't wait for our next scan on 16th April!

I am new to this site, so if anyone can give me any advice or would like to ask me anything please do!

24.03.2008 - We went for our second midwife appointment today and heard the baby `s heartbeat! It was amazing! The midwife said little baba was being very co-operative as she didn `t even have to move baby around to pick up the heartbeat, as soon as she put the doppler on my tummy we heard the heartbeat instantly. Me and hubbie are thrilled xxx

Hi Sally! I read your post about hay fever and allergies, and I totally identify. Someone told me that flaxseed oil really helps. I was doubtful, but it really did work. I felt fine, and my hay fever/allergy season was much shorter than usual. Cheers and good luck! Amy

Hello, here are some comments I posted for someone else who has the same problem. Hope it helps. Start from the bottom and read up. She asked me a question and I answered her with the other two posts. Her question was how do you tell the oils (the good vs the bad apart?) You really want to try to stay away from prescriptions though if at all possible. They are full of chemicals and toxins no matter what they claim is "safe". Natural is always best.

Sometimes it's hard to tell. You would have to check out the company's web site and see what they write about themselves, if they're comitted to the things I mentioned. I don't know about UK regulations, but I do know here in the US a company can legally harvest, dry and store herbs for up to 5 years, then pull them out and use chemicals to draw out the properties, reboil them several times, bottle it and call it an "essential oil". The chemicals they use are toxic and not good for you. If the bottle says "do not ingest" that is a good indication that it is not a good oil. That is what I love about Young Living. They have a strong committment to slow steam distilling. They do not need to use chemicals because they distill and package right after harvesting when the plants are fresh. Their plants are grown on their own farms (with the exception of some of the oils that cannot be grown in the US they have to import from other countries) and they grow everything organically with no chemical fertilizers or pesticides. You can go to their website at www.youngliving.com and check them out. I'm sure there's other good companies out there, I just don't know of them. I do know not to just purchase any old oil in the health food store though. you won't get the same results, and you may be putting chemicals into your body you don't want to be there. Hope it helps.

Oh! I almost forgot, the peppermint oil is strong, so make sure while you're deep breathing (this is good for headaches too) that you don't accidently get the oil by your eyes, it will be uncomfortable and burn.

Hello Kristi-Anne. I know about something that may help your hay fever. My daughter suffered quite bad every year living on Claritin and Benadryl for the month of June. I started learning about essential oils and got her some peppermint. she started putting a couple drops in her hands and deep breathing it. Believe it or not, she never took a single pill last year and so far this year has had no problem. You must be careful to get a very good quality oil though. there are a lot of junk oils out there. the only company I fully trust is Young Living Essential Oils. They are all organic and use no chemicals and do not boil their plants to get the oils out. They use fresh, organic plants and slowly steam distill the plants right after harvesting. That is very important and key, so watch out for that. If you have any more questions, you can email me at busytimes@m33access.com. or post a message on this website, though I don't check this as often as I check my email.
Hope you feel better.
