Hello everyone! My name is Samantha and my husband and I are expecting our first child together. We are having a boy, Greyson James. We are due on June 27, 2008. In the beginning we had a few complications because I had placenta previa. Since then I've been directed to stay off of my feet, no excersising, no cleaning, etc. So thats what I've been pretty much doing. So far everythings been going great. I cant wait to meet our son!

Friday, 2 May I am feeling great! I have my 3d/4d appointment scheduled for May 17th, and I could not be happier. My fiance asked me what I wanted for mothers day, and thats what I would like. I will be 34 weeks by then, so I hope that she still has room to move and I get good pictures! Yay, now that I have that scheduled, I have something to make my time go by faster! Are you doing maternity pictures? We are taking ours next tuesday and they print everything out right there! How awesome is that? Another exciting thing to look forward to! Well I hope the that being nausiated gets better for you! Keep in touch! JKs-Girl -
Friday, 2 May I feel ya on being nautious! I usually just snack on cheerios at work (not very fattening for as much as I eat them). Try that! Other than that, how are you feeling? JKs-Girl -
Thursday, 24 April Hey there, how are you doing? How is little man treating ya? Madelyn is ready to come into the world but I told her she had to bake a little longer! She is impatient like her mama, but at least she comes by it honestly! lol!
Well I hope that everyhthing is going well with you. Keep in touch! chastin -
Tuesday, 22 April in that case I dont blame you at all for taking advantage of having 4 weeks off before you have him either!! enjoy your time before he gets here!! I am just using my 90 days FMLA and will only get paid for a total of like 10 days out of that :( chastin -
Tuesday, 22 April I'm just taking off the week before my due date and thats only because my dr. thinks he is going to come a week or 2 early. But I only have 90 days off work and I would like to wait as close to him coming to take off so I can spend more time with him once he is here! yari -
Tuesday, 22 April Don't know where you are of if this is job and benefit specific. At my job in the US, we are to work ONE WEEK before our due date as given to them by the Dr. We go out earlier if it is medically necessary. So I am due June 26th and expect to work until June 19th. 4 weeks before birth off with pay would be heaven =) uncmommy -
Tuesday, 15 April hi. i took the test on a tuesday morning @8 and they said they would have the results for me by the next afternoon, but they called me first thing the next morning with the good news that I passed. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I thought that I was going to have to drink that drink 3 times, but they take your blood, then you drink the drink, and then they take the blood 3 more times for the next 3 hours. the only thing i recommend is that you ask them to switch arms after the 2nd draw. they didn't switch with me and by the 4th time it was very painful. good luck with all and keep me posted. kara8385 -
Friday, 11 April I DRINK ALOT OF WATER AS WELL, SO MAYBE THAT DOES HELP PREVENT BH. I HOPE I CAN TELL WHAT THE REAL DEAL FEELS LIKE. :) GOOD LUCK WITH THE REST OF YOUR PREGNANCY. WE ARE ALMOST DONE!!! mommajen -
Thursday, 10 April They gave me results as I sat there. They prick your finger and put the blood in a tiny reader and it says within a minute what your blood sugar level is. Thats so weird I keep hearing how people had to wait for results. They dont take from your arm on the 3hr just prick the fingers. I can see if they drew blood then they would have to send to a lab. You can even test yourself at home if you have a meter. araya-sunshine -
Wednesday, 9 April Normal blood sugar is 65-100 but for this test I think if you are under 120 they don't make you do the 3hr. A large number of people who fail the 1hr pass the 3hr. I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you fail the 3hr then you will be taught how to eat to keep your sugar down. cori1212 -
Wednesday, 9 April My blood sugar was 119 with my last pregnancy and my dr. told me I was borderline. I guess if it's over 120 they make you take the 3hr. test. But I've heard of doctors not actually taking blood but just pricking your finger which doesn't give you a very accurate reading. mommajen -
Wednesday, 9 April On my 1hr test I had a 159. I took the 3hr test already and I passed all 4 pricks. I asked why I failed the first one and she said it was just hormones???
The 3hr wasnt really that bad. You have to fast. They prick your finger right when you get to the office, then you drink the same glucose drink only its 100 instead of 50grams. Then exactly one hour later another prick then two more on each hour. (Total of 4 pricks) I would bring some reading material while you wait. It actually went by pretty quick. Good Luck! happymama2b -
Wednesday, 9 April I found some information online today that said that a range of 2-4 cm is normal and shouldn't be cause for concern. This bigger worry is a lack of growth. For example 3 weeks pass and you still measure the same...that is supposed to show a problem. I am sure everything is fine with both of us...although, I feel better after Ido my own research than I do when I leave the doctor! happymama2b -
Tuesday, 8 April The doctor told me yesterday that I was measuring 31! All my research shows that means nothing uless the growth is consistent...which must be why he sent me on my way without an explaination! boomum -
Tuesday, 8 April My baby is measuring 32 weeks but its still considered within 'normal'range......it doesn't affect your due date but it doesn't look like you'll be having a small baby! The same thing has happened on my last 2 pregnancies and they both weighed over 9 lbs! NumberFive -

Wednesday, 5 Mar That's so weird, I kept telling my Mom in my first pregnancy that I was worried too and then something did happen to me too. I know how you feel, I've been out of work since August and limited on activities as well. I can't wait to get back to normal. It will be all worth it in the end! margysd -

Wednesday, 5 Mar I had a very bad experience in my first pregnancy. I was 6cm dialated at 23 weeks and went on complete bed rest in the hospital until I had my daughter at 27 weeks. I had never been in the hospital before this and experienced so many things. So, needless to say, I have been very nervous this whole pregnancy! beckys -
