My name is Sanam and I am pregnant with my first baby. I am 28 years old and have been married for 3 and a half years to my husband Abhishek.He is the best thing that has ever happened to me .

We live in Eagan , Minnesota and moved here in January where i found out that i was pregnant.

So far, my pregnancy has been pretty uneventful, and I hope it stays that way. I did not suffer much from morning sickness. Seeing the baby's heartbeat on the ultrasound and the doppler is amazing.

Updates :-

AUGUST 1ST 2007- 34 WEEKS 2 DAYS.

I had a very bad night yesterday , couldnt sleep at all and these days changing positions is becoming very painful for me . Even getting out of bed and walking was painful.

I was sure to ask my doctor if this was normal , because most of the stuff i am experiencing is always labeled normal by her .LOL...

Anyways so back from my appt and she did tell me that these pains were normal and has recommended me to take Tylenol PM to help ease the pain and sleep better.Also when she was checking the baby's heartbeat she said see yr stomach is so hard you are having Braxton Hicks contractions and i told her i never felt a thing. She said yes you dont feel anything but you for sure are having those.

Next appt is on 17th and my cervix exams start and then i see the doctor every 1 week . I cant believe how close i have come.

AUGUST 3RD 2007

i again had a bad night yesterday , i tripped while walking at night and somehow hurt my left pubic bone . last night couldnt sleep well bec couldnt turn and if i did it was sooo painful ...

i am gonna take tylenol today bec i really cant go without sleep , it makes me so groggy and lazy and moody.

sometimes i feel i am so ready to have this baby already .

So tomorrow is my appt , and will be having my weekly pelvic exam , i am not looking forward to having these but i guess this is the only way i will know if i am progressing or not .Will update tomorrow !

AUGUST 17TH 2007

Just got back from my appt , they did my haemoglobin test and it turned out i was low on iron , so i will have to take some iron pills now . Also had my Group B strep Test which was a little embarassing but not too bad. The baby's heartbeat was good . Had my pelvic exam and the doctor said she felt the baby's head and is in position and most likely wont move now . I am not yet dialated but she said my cervix was softening. The pelvic exam is pretty uncomfortable at this stage .

AUGUST 24TH 2007

Back from my 37 weeks 4 day appt and i cant believe the progress i have made ,i am 3cm dialated and 80% effaced . The doctor told me to be ready and that i could go anytime . She asked me if i felt anything and i told her i felt nothing . she said its a possibility you might not feel the rest as well . My strep B test came out Positive which she said was common and that i would be given antibiotics at the time of labor .

I am now getting a brownish discharge and that probably is because of the exam.I am excited and have to finish my last minute shopping today .lol...

AUGUST 27TH -30TH 2007

I had some mild itching on my feet when i went in for my appt on friday and the doctor said it was due to the skin stretching and she gave me a cream to use . The next day the itching spread to my legs and from being at a bearable stage it reached an unbearable stage , i was itching on my hands my feet legs thighs . I called the nurse and the next day i was prescribed some anti itch meds .So its a little better but not 100% i have stopped taking my iron pills as that could be one of the reason for this allergy . Have my next appt tomorrow , and will find out if i have made any further progress , though i havent felt a thing yet except for some BHC .

Also i have been getting a whitish thickish jellyish discharge and the nurse said that it could be my mucous plug , only thing is its not streaked at all .

AUGUST 31ST 2007

Had my appt today and i am 3.5 cm dialated and 90% effaced .The baby's heartbeat is good. The doctor said its just a waiting game now as i can go into labor anytime . I havent felt any contractions yet but today feeling a little pain near the pubic bones. Regarding my itching she just told me to continue taking the iron pill with the anti itch meds since my iron is low . She didnt say it would be related to the liver bec it would have been identified before . Also i told her about the whitish discharge , and she told me that is my mucous plug and its not necessary for it to be tinged with blood or be pink.So keeping my fingers crossed now .
