Monday, 6 October Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com
Hi there,
I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.
We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.
If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.
You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Tuesday, 2 September I hope next time will be more successful. I hate it when doctors don't listen to what you have to say. They should've had you in the hospital with i.v antibiotics. Joshua is doing well. He graduated in church. He was pulling up on everything and making a beeline for the door when it opened. He is having fun with the "big babies" now. sherrybabydean -

Wednesday, 2 July yes my water broke at 21 weeks, the doctors highly suggested termination because they didnt think my baby would survive much longer.but there was no way i would consider terminating my baby i will be 29 weeks pregnant this sunday and my baby is doing great. she has a strong heart beat and is her normal weight for 28 weeks! i have had low/ practically no fluid these past 7 weeks but have made it! and shes still growing These past weeks of laying on the hospital bed day after day has been extremely hard, but its worth every second. it will all be over before u know it and you will have your beautiful baby to hold!! stay strong. if i can do it so can u sherrybabydean -
Saturday, 28 June When I was in labor &delivery, the nurses had told me that there had been women there for up to 2 months with their water broke. How is your AFI(Amniotic fluid index)? That is where they measure all four pockets of water. If you have a good number it will be better for the baby.I hope you will make it to 28 weeks.I know that may be impossible, but there is still a very small chance. At 22 weeks they will have the opportunity to ask you if you want steroids to help the baby's lungs develop. If they don't,insist on it!They may tell you that since there is no water then the baby's lungs won't develop. They told me that when I was 19 weeks.Keep in bed, drink a lot of water! If they determine that your water is only leaking and not broke, they may also give you meds to stop contractions. Each doctor is different.Don't give up on your baby. He's strong. No promises, but a chance.A chance is sometimes all you need!

Friday, 27 June I haven't heard from you in a while. How are things going for you.Is the fluid any better? sherrybabydean -
Tuesday, 17 June I didn't show for a long time.I actually shrunk when my amniotic fluid dropped. My uterus was bigger than normal though because of the fibroids. My doctor said I measured 3-6 weeks bigger than normal. If I didn't have fibroids they estimated that I would have been the opposite. I hardly ever felt him move.He was so constricted because of the low amniotic fluid and the fibroids. There were days that would go by before I felt him move.I could count on one hand actual kicks the whole pregnancy. The rest were just little movements. When was the u/s pic taken?Ican see there is very little fluid, but there is some. sherrybabydean -
Monday, 16 June If you water did truly break and not just leak, then you need antibiotics. The same if your water continues to leak.My water broke all the way.The baby just kept baring down on my cervix.Don't hold it when you have to go pee.It will cause you to contract if your bladder is too full.Drink a lot.Fluid also will dilute early contractions.I went into preterm labor at 19 weeks with my son Joshua.A couple of i.v bags is all they could do at that gestation. They were not willing to give me any meds.It stopped the contractions until a couple of more weeks when the baby was 22 weeks, the low end of viability.Further intervention and 3 months of bedrest, water, and meds kept him off another 10 weeks.I would ask for u/s at least every week and nonstress tests. They told me that if the hole was small enough then it could seal back up.Mine never did. I went through water leaks, which felt like breaking, for weeks.I would stand up and it would gush so bad.I couldn't even shower.Just spongebaths.I laid in a somewhat inverted position, preferably on my left side the whole time hooked up to a monitor. After many antibiotics, and 4 weeks later,my son's water actually turned green. He was "let"born that day. They also gave me steroids to help the baby's lungs. They can usually give them around 22 weeks. The youngest baby to ever survive, according to world's records,is 21 weeks 6 days.I'll be praying for you! I hope God will give you at least 4 more weeks like my other son. sherrybabydean -
Saturday, 14 June My water was very low at 19 weeks. With my other children,my water broke weeks before delivery. When the baby pushes against the cervix your water will more than likely fill up again. When the baby moves away it will feel like your water broke all over again.Bedrest!Lots of water! If you are not on antibiotics, preferably injection or i.v then I would highly suggest asking. My other son's water was broke for nearly a month. The hospital can even admit you when you reach 20 weeks.Prayers are with you and good luck!Let me know how things go. soontobemommyof2 -
Friday, 13 June hi there, I am sorry to hear that...what happened to me with the fluid wise could be caused by the virus that he has (most likely from my work)my placenta is enlarged and they do not think it is giving him enough blood to make urine...although I did notice that right after my anmiocentisis is when it started to go down...I was 19 weeks at the amnio, and every week it went down, week 1 it went from 40-31, week to down to 17, then 16 week 3 down to 6, now its so low they dont even try to measure it...so I am not sure what caused it, I do know there is nothing I can do, trust me I did everything, water, gatorade, I heard grapefruit juice, alot of lying on my L side...right now this virus is causing more severe problems than just the low amniotic fluid, he has severe anemia, amongst a laundry list of other issues...I am not sure if you could compare with me, but I do hope that your lil one fights through all this..I am now 26, hopin his anemia makes it to where he can at least make it to 28..good luck sand08 -

Friday, 4 April Hi! Congrats to you too! They said the baby's heartbeat was 140, but anything between 120 and 180 is perfectly normal. Also, they said it's about 3/4 of an inch long, so both of ours are measuring perfect! Good luck! laddgirl -
Thursday, 27 Mar It is hard at this point for me. I did have an ok appt yesterday. My doc was not fully aware of my status until he saw me and remembered my face. He went flipping through my file and was really upset with the nurses who schedueled me. He stressed this was my 6th pregnancy and I only have 2 children. 3mc is not a regular OB appt. The nurses had not done my file properly. Because of the schedueling he was unable to do my u/s but did send me to the regular x-ray tech who performed my u/s. Only thing that stinks was the tech is unable to give me any results good or bad of my u/s, that information must come from my doc. They also did bloodwork to get my quantity count. That will give us an idea of how far along I am. Thanks for the comment, it helps when one can relate to the way I'm feeling. I'll get my results friday. Until then, I remain positive for all is in God's hands and He has my best at heart. Congrats to you and Be blessed yourself.
