Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Sx

ok.got pains on friday evening after a sweep that morning-then the pains stopped! i was so upset! woke up on saturday morning around 6.30 with little contractions by 10.30 am i had to go to the delivery suite.i wanted an epidural but they had no time as i'd gone from 4 cm to 9 in under an hour! had gas and air and a straight forward vaginal birth with no tearing but omg it hurt!! mia had 2 knots in her cord and it was around her neck but thanks to the quick actions of the midwife she was delivered safely.she weighed in at 9lb 10 oz which isnt my biggest baby - but i felt it! every oz of it! thank you to everyone for their lovely comments and support and big hugs to you all,i've 'met' some wonderful ladies thanks to this site and its been a pleasure! i'm not doing the pregnancy thing again but what i am doing is a midwifery course! i'm baby bonkers. love and best wishes to you all - see you as soon as i get another 5 mins to myself ! lol xxx

hmmm it doesn't matter to us whether it's a boy or girl since it's our first. We're just hoping it's a healthy baby :D

MKsAngel - Wednesday, 23 April
Good to hear the swelling has gone down for you. I sure wish I get to feel the baby soon. I just can't wait. I hope there's something I can do to make the baby "un"-lazy... lol

So, do you want a girl or a boy? Good luck!!

natalienicole - Wednesday, 23 April
cool, we are hoping for a boy but we wouldnt mind a girl either, healthy first! x

My gut says boy!

Awww that's bad. I'm constipated too and hating it but I'm eating a lot of fibers and chocolates to try to make it easier. It helps sometimes though I know I have to watch my sugar. If I had your pain, I wouldn't want to go to the ER either. I hate internal exams. I hope you've been feeling fine though... Let's hang in there. I still haven't felt the baby yet. I'm hoping it will come real soon.

natalienicole - Tuesday, 22 April

MKsAngel - Friday, 18 April
I think I kn ow what you mean about the doctor's appointments. I had my first pregnancy too last November and was almost at the ER every weekend due to spotting/bleeding. I had appointments with the doctor almost every week, sometimes even once a week. It was also very expensive then since a lot of tests and meds were required to try and keep the baby. I eventually miscarried at week 6.

I am very happy now that everything is going well. I only miss the doctor's appointment since I almost want to hear the heartbeat every day to make sure that the baby is ok. I guess we'll be better when we get those movements daily because we're sure that our babies are just kicking away at life.

You're so lucky to have a doctor with a 3D/4D machine. I haven't found a single doctor with one in his/her clinic. It's okay though, a simple 3D u/s here costs just about $50. It's a simple package but when the baby gets bigger, I plan to get those more expensive packages where they give you a DVD with all 90-100 shots and a lot of other tokens/printouts. That costs around $200 or $300 so we're preparing for it.

Good luck to us. I'll keep you posted after my consultations with other doctors. I have one with a cardio too since I'm feeling numbness in both hands. Wish me luck!! :D

Hi!!! Thanks for leaving a message.

I've been feeling okay so far. I just can't wait to feel the baby's movements. I am so jealous of those who can already, although I know it does come later when it's the first child. I just can't help feeling anxious.

I haven't seen or heard from mamastar lately. I hope everything's okay though.

We bought a heart monitor but it says the heartbeat will be heard starting the third trimester. i'm still thinking of getting a doppler coz my doctor only wants to see me once a month as of this time. Since everything seems to be okay, she doesn't want to stress me going to and from her clinics. The cheapest doppler we have here is about $300 so I'm still looking. =( I do have a request for an ultrasound to be done anytime so at least I get some consolation from that hehehe When I do get to have the u/s though, hubby and I won't ask for the gender. We'll keep it a surprise until the baby's born.

So how have you been these past few weeks? Feeling any other symptoms?

MrsSoller - Thursday, 17 April
Everyone that I know that has had a baby has NEVER had their baby on the due date. I'm not even sure why they give us one, they should just tell us " your baby " should" be born around this week" instead of giving us an exact date. Plus my due date has changed 3 times already, and I've got another U/s coming up, I'm sure it will change again.

msreid - Wednesday, 9 April
Im still trying to distinghuish whats "gas" and whats movement. Some are quite different. but I have YET to hear the heartbeat and i will be 18 weeks tomorrow. Ill keep both fingers and toes crossed for the both of us.

Hi Sandraboo :)
I had the same comment yesterday about not being able to feel the baby. I got many feedback, and if this is your first child, you probably wont feel the baby till the 19-20 week. I haven't felt mine either and I was getting worried. Wish you all the best :)~

ezrasmommy - Tuesday, 8 April
We have the same due date, very cool! I also have not felt the baby kick yet, and this is the second one for me!

deb2404 - Thursday, 3 April
hey i got a cheapy one.. I thought I heard the heart beat.. then I wonder if it is just mine.. the instructions do say that you can hear baby heart beats from week 22.. I hear alot of bumps and gurgling which is just my stomach acids. I don't know.. I want to feel movement.. then I will be happy
