I'm so sorry that you had to go through such an emotionally tramatic event, not to mention all of the pain. When my Dr. realized that I was going to have a miscarriage (about 1 1/2 years ago) they gave me the option of just going through it like you did or having a D&C. For emotional reasons, I went for the D&C. I couldn't bear the thought of possibly seeing my baby as it passed. Anyways, the D&C went well and I had been happy about my choice. Now, 2 years later, in the middle of my pregnancy, I find out that I have a short cervix. One of the causes of this can come from a D&C. Nobody ever told me that doing the D&C could risk a future baby. Now I am on bedrest and worried everyday of having a pre-mature baby. So, maybe you did the right thing after-all. Take care, p[lease don't give up.
