Madame Zaritska, our resident clairvoyant, wants to help you prepare for the arrival of your child. Here she does her best to predict certain aspects of your labor and birth experience.

What she senses for you
The day you deliver, outside will be slightly overcast. Your baby will arrive in the afternoon.

After a labor lasting approximately 12 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 7 pounds, 2 ounces, and will be 20 inches long. This child will have light blue eyes and some blond hair.

But there is more. I know you imagine your baby often. You wonder if your baby is safe and healthy. Why don't you go listen to a baby's heartbeat and think soothingobject width="120" height="180">thoughts about your own child.

mama.pete.to.be - Thursday, 24 July
ohhhh, so sorry to hear of the scare, but glad to hear that all is well. were you going into early labor? did they tell you what caused it or what was happening?

i've heard of people doing the 4d ultrasound, and i've seen pictures of it too. that is so neat. so, did you guys find out the sex then, or are you gonna have them stay away from that area? it is so hard sometimes to not want to know. my family has kind of been pressuring me to findout, they want to know what to buy, and they just want to know. they even said, can the doctor call us so we can know, but then you don't have to? YEAH RIGHT!!!! even adam is starting to cave in and want to know the sex. AHHHH!!!
anyway...yes, we have started buying things. we have a few things up on the wall. the nursery is painted, kind of a yellow/ golden color. it's really pretty and kinda changes tone with the sunlight/ darkness. we don't have a crib yet, will be buying one next month. also, we have bought a few outfits too. just neutral colors, unisex. i'm having a few baby showers next month and i can't wait!!! one of my friends is having a shower for me where we're doing a spa theme and doing facials and soaking our feet and stuff. it should be so fun.
can't wait to see your pictures. actually, you might have them up by now, so i'll check out your profile. take care!!

Hey!
I hope you have a fabulous time out tonight with your friends - you deserve it! I've never seen that movie, let me know how it is. We went and saw the Batman movie on Sunday - very good, doesn't make it worse that batman is a hottie!! After work today I went and joined my sis along with the family and some of her friends for dinner and drinks (it was hard as they were all sipping on their margaritas) for my sis's birthday... was very nice. We are having a formal dinner for her at my parents Sunday, they are cooking crab legs - yummy! and cake - woo hoo!! Saturday we are all heading to our favorite winery for an evening out (guess who will be driving home). All of the not drinking stinks - but I make up for it with desserts! I have gained about 16 pounds the last time I checked - but I'm afraid to step on the scale now - I've been eating like crazy! So far its mainly gone to my chest and belly, but i'm starting to notice a bit in my thighs - which I'm not thrilled about!! One of Jazz's buddies is bringing his wife over Thursday night (we've never met her) and the 4 of us are going to a baseball game - hopefully it won't be too warm and Friday we are going to our local Greek Festival - gyros and greek donuts!! So we are pretty busy - even more important that I rest at lunch time! I tell you what, coming home for 2 hours already seems too short! I'me ready to work half days!! haha. I'm kind of in a nesting phase right now which makes me a bit nervous, my friend told me she was nesting and the next thing she knew she had her baby! I've finished cleaning up the nursery - it is ready for paint! Now I'm down to the basement where we have an entire room of items we want to EBay or sell or give away. That is my next project - sell and get rid of it all!! Some friends of mine that I ride with (I mean used to ride with!) have a bunch of horsey items they want me to sell for them and my work has some things they want me to sell for them too! I should just work part time and do that part time. Plus I need to clean the basement good and clean windows...maybe I'll just make a to-do list and start from there! Maybe tomorrow....
Well, I've got to get going - the couch and ice cream are calling my name! Have a good day!
Kris

jpritt5522 - Wednesday, 23 July
I have been resting lots and getting stuff done. The nursery is ready for the crib. my dad is ordering and I have cleaned really well. A couple of friends from college are coming down this weekend and we are going to a tea house. They are bringing more presents. I can't wait! I am also going to a consignment sale next week.

Ok, you made me so hungry. The apple crumble sounds wonderful. I have to admit I have never heard of syrup pudding...tell me please. I am loving some dessert as well.

I am going to the specialist tomorrow and then tuesday to regular gyno. I have to drink some yucky stuff for the tuesday appt to check diabetic. I think they will take blood tomorrow. I can't wait for tomorrow\s appt., I love getting to see her.

I know, I have been so tired this whole time. I am tired of the women that say, I feel great during pregnancy! really? I think they are crazy! HA!

TheBunny - Tuesday, 22 July
Hello you!! sorry to hear you are feeling so crap - hopefully the show tonight will cheer you up, although prob wont make you feel any better! No I havent seen Flashdance, so you'll have to tell me what its like. I'm being dragged along by one of my mates to Mama Mia next week (I don't like Abba!!) have you seen that?
Weight gain? Hmmm yes, Trevor and I were only discussing that this evening whilst eating dinner. ha ha ha I have such a sweet tooth lately and can't stop eating Cadbury's chocolate (it has to be a girl I think!!). I have put on just over a stone so far I think - my midwife works in Kilo's so I know I've put on 9kg's! The tops of my arms are chunkier, my thighs too... but breastfeeding might help sort that out!! I've got my Anti-D injection tomorrow and then routine bloods on Thursday (although I had the antibody blood test last week at the hospital).
I am getting sooooo tired again and I didn't get out of bed until 1pm today!! I kept falling asleep again hahahaha! We have put up the changing table and wardrobe but haven't got around to the cot yet - we'll do that in a couple of weeks. But I've bought the nursery bedding and wallpaper border. The car seat is sitting in cupboard under stairs but we haven't actually unwrapped it yet. Just got the Maxi-cosi in black which fits the Bugaboo.
Hope you feel better hun, xx

Hey!
How are you feeling? You had quite a high over the weekend from your visit, hoping you were able to kick the sore throat - you know what works goo for that? - ICE CREAM!! HAHA I'm eating so much of that anymore!! Anything exciting going on this week? Nothing really here - just plugging away. I took my first 2 hour lunch - lovely!! And hopefully it will work! Well, have a great day and I'll talk to you soon - wait - is it picture week?? Is it already that time again, or is it next weekend?
Kris

kellisue - Sunday, 20 July
 That is precious!

jpritt5522 - Sunday, 20 July
Those are soooooo cool! I wish that I could convince him to get one! I just don't have the money right now, but those rock. Maybe I will try to hint to the doctor! hee, hee. I am only 5 ft. 2, so I know what you mean. Marquis is almost 6 foot and I think this is why I am so big! There is no where for the weight to go for me!

It was nice to visit my friend. The two year old is kind of wild! We are watching a movie and resting as well. I am excited.

jpritt5522 - Sunday, 20 July
 wow! Maybe a soccer player!

jpritt5522 - Sunday, 20 July
 Soooo cute!!!

TheBunny - Saturday, 19 July
All I can say is...... WOW!!! You got some fantastic pictures there and I bet the experience was just amazing! Look at those lil legs though - I bet you are getting kicked quite hard hahaha!

Thanks for sharing - I love them. I just hope my lil one is as happy in utero as yours looks

Picked up the Bugaboo and its in really good condition. Its gone straight in the garage but the DVD on how to operate is is here with me so I'll have a look at that before dinner tonight as there's nothing on telly!!

Congrats on the great pics, hun xxxxxx

kristinjazz - Saturday, 19 July
Pics are amazing!!! How beautiful!! Are you crazy excited now??! I'm so happy you got it done...Have a wonderful weekend and hope you feel better!!

armymom - Saturday, 19 July
Thanks.. I'll try that. I appreciate your advise!

jpritt5522 - Saturday, 19 July
ok, I am so moving there! That is great. full pay for six months! wow! I will probably have to go back after six weeks and that is only paid at 60%. Which is better that most jobs, which is no pay. I do have two weeks, almost three built up so that will be nice to use. I would love not to go back until Jan!

I am resting tonight. I am going tomorrow to see a friend that has a 2 year old.

Let me know how the viewing goes...

jpritt5522 - Saturday, 19 July
Sorry, I got so excited that I did not get to finish the message. I can't wait to see it and for you to tell me what it is like. I can't quite convince Marquis yet. I want to...but not happening yet.

Can't wait...have fun. are you going to find out now?

jpritt5522 - Saturday, 19 July
OH MY GOSH!!!

TheBunny - Saturday, 19 July
Hi hunni
Glad I'm not the only one not finding out the sex!! I think I'm going to enjoy having a surprise can't wait....

We are going to keep the pram in the garage (its separate from the house) cos of the bad luck thing... apparently as long as its not actually in the house you're ok?! My parents live abroad and all my friends have flats and not houses so I don't really have a choice!!

Im a bit worried about the growth but there is plenty of movement, so I'm just hoping it'll catch up at some point along the line as I'm measuring small. Slightly panicked but trying not to think about it!

Enjoy your weekend xxxxxx

kristinjazz - Friday, 18 July
Hey!
That is so exciting!! i'm so happy for you - you will truly enjoy having the pics and dvd to pop in whenever you feel like it! I'm almost happy that I got put on high-risk so I can see how he's developing - wouldn't be the same only seeing him once or twice... Good for you - and that brings me to the question - have you persuaded Phil to find out the sex?? I mean this is a perfect opportunity...
We are heading to a friends birthday party tonight, I'm going to watch a horse show tomorrow morning then a graduation party tomorrow, then hopefully go see the new Batman movie, then another grad party on sunday...we started out having no plans!!!Other than that you will find me relaxing!! Jazz is trying to tucker Dixie out before we leave, I feel so bad when we leave her while at work all day and then go and leave her all evening - so he's got the frisbee going so she should be pooped by the time we leave. have only had a few contractions today - not nearly as many as yesterday... It is so hot here today!! I cant wait to see your pics!! Congrats again!
Kris

NEWMOMMY713 - Friday, 18 July
it looks like you are having a girl

TheBunny - Friday, 18 July
HEY YOU!!!! How ya doin?? Wow, you lucky thing going for a 3d/4d scan...although that means you'll find out the sex of the baby unless you tell them you want to avoid that area so that you don't find out?!! That is very exciting news though and I can't wait to see what your little one has been up to! I prob won't go for a 3d scan cos I might have to have a growth scan in a couple of weeks (as the growth appears to have slowed a bit ) and then another one at 36 weeks to check the placenta so I'm a bit worried about all the scans for the bubs! BUT my exciting news is that I am picking up the Bugaboo tomorrow!! Yey!!! So excited. Good luck for the scan, I bet you can't wait and I'm looking forward to seeing the pics xxxxxxx

kristinjazz - Friday, 18 July
Hey!
So I am just relaxing at home with my pup (who wants to play constantly!) while Jazz is off golfing... I'm catching up on emails and books and I sure hope that I don't get put on bed rest because I may go nuts! People will get so tired of hearing from me - ha! So I am planning to do the 2 hour lunch thing for now and see how it works... I figure that if I keep feeling contractions then I will keep cutting back my hours - but if I'm not really having them then I will remain where I am. Other than the contractions I feel great and comfy and lots of energy. So... But I think that doing that should be enough along with doing less at night - especially in the heat!
So the girl that rides my horse for me while I'm not able to sent me a text that my horse accidently stepped on one of the barn chickens today - its ok but isn't that the most outrageous thing! I had to chuckle.
We haven't actually got the bedroom set yet - it is ordered though. I have to put our current set up for sale - hopefully we will get a taker for it. Google search B618 Hathaway to see our new furniture - I was so taken by it!
My parents dog seems to be doing much better thanks! My mom was able to go to the concert too. She has an appointment with a specialtist when she comes back - hopefully it is something they can treat and not terminal...
I can't wait to get back to exercising.. I registered for one of those baby joggers - Jazz and I were saying that next spring and summer we are going to take Dixie and Hayden out for jogs/walks alot - maybe even train for some 5K races to get back in shape! Thats one bad thing about having a baby in October - we will be stuck inside all winter, but that can also be a good thing since you can't do too much with a newborn anyways...
My ankles and feet haven't been too bad lately...I've got some days that are much worse than others, but then again I don't have to stand for long periods of time on them. How much longer until your break from work? Are you planning on doing much? Where do Phil's parents live? Is it far away? Well I'm going to go through my 200 or so emails on my aol account since I don't spend that much time on there either!
Have a great night! And woohoo - tomorrow is Friday!
Kris

mama.pete.to.be - Thursday, 17 July
oh my gosh it's been a long time!!! so sorry for that. i've just had so much stuff to preoccupy me lately, and i don't have internet yet at home, just at work.
well....i'm feeling lots better. i finally, just got over that nasty cough i had...after trying so many different things. also, my ribs are better too. my side is still slightly sore if i put pressure on it or lay on my side, but other than that, i have no complaints and have been doing well. LOTS OF MOVEMENT LATELY......oh my gosh!!!! lot of kicking/stretching/ rolling/ jabbing me in the ribs...hahaha. starting to get a little short of breath too these days with my lungs and everything feeling a little squished.
as far as work goes...i think i'm pretty much gonna work right up until the end, or as long as i can. we'll just have to see how things go. my husband and i are still trying to save for when i'm out of work, and i just kinda want to minimize the amount of time i'm out before the pregnancy, and maximize it for when the baby is here. that's great that you have that time to use to kinda relax here and there and take the time off. that's great.
i'm doing really good though lately, how about you?? i hope all is well and that everything is great for you!! you take care hun!!!!

kristinjazz - Thursday, 17 July
Hey!
Just got back from the high-risk doc - he said I am 28 weeks 1 day and due October 8th! My cervix measured 3.3 (last time it was 2.8) so that is great! The baby is 2.9 pounds - right on schedule for 28 weeks. Only thing is I am having contractions...not good. He said if I don't take it easy bed rest is in my near future =( So I'm changing my schedule a bit at work - I normally work 7-4 with a 1 hour lunch so I'm not sure if it would be better for me to work 8-4 with a one hour lunch or 7-4 with a 2 hour lunch...
Anyways I have to work but will talk to you later!! Hope you are having a great day!
Kris

jpritt5522 - Thursday, 17 July
ok, you so made me want to eat french fries! or chippies! ha! I will get all the lingo down.

I know about the swollen feet and ankles. It sucks. I hope that when I go back it will not be so bad. I had to buy some new pants and tops today. My old pants just were not working anymore. They were cutting into my stomach, eventhough they were maternity. I remember thinking how huge they were! Yikes!

Why don't you get another scan? You have to wait until baby gets here? I get one every month I think with the specialist doc.

It sounds like a great time for you and your honey to relax, get things ready and just enjoy before the baby comes. I wish we had that. I am afraid before we know it, she will be here and there will not be much of us time left!

I don't know. I asked the doc yesterday about mat. leave and he says he won't let me go beyond 39 weeks. That seems so close! So, I guess I will try and take a week off before that week? I am totally clueless about it, but I have to get the papers filled out and returned. how many weeks does England give you off. You get six weeks for vaginal and eight for cea. I don't know...

off to lay on the couch...I have been sucked in to BBC america and watching cash in the attic and clean house!
