i would love to do that sarah but i think they discussed this on the seminar that this is how they do it and its the hospital procedure. apparently,they do it to everyone cuz ive asked. Its just too painful honestly.. I told my husband i dont want to go on monday but he didnt approve. he said it will help me labour fast so i have to go. its just so traumatic. one girl here mentioned that maybe what their doin to me is Membrane sweep and i did a research and i think shes right.

I was on bedrest and meds for 4wks (week 32-36) for pre-term labor and now I can't get this baby out! I am so pissed off at my doctor, she won't give me an explanation as to why she is making me suffer like this. Now, on top of it, I have my hubby's cold and woke up so sick this morning. I wish you good luck and a speedy delivery.

Oh, I just love that you call it the "magic sauce"!!! My hubby is uncomfortable with sex at this point, so I keep teasing him... (sung to the McDonald's Big Mac song)... "One all beef patty, special sauce, in me please" Terrible, isn't it? LOL!

Thank you... She definately had a full head of hair. She weighed 7lbs 4oz. I cant blame you for wanting to have your baby now, I was so sick of being pregnant and I am so content now, even with no sleep. LOL..... Good Luck to you and baby

Thanks, The headful of hair suprised us too. My daughter was bald, and my son was bald but you could see blonde hair, so for Riley to have her mop was quite a suprise.

not offended, it's true. i was too mad to even speak, and normally when that happens i tend to throw things. so honestly thank goodness for ryan, my aim is notoriously bad, if i don't want to hit something, i always do.

did they do the sweap at your docs office? My doc said I had to go to the hospital for that so he could do it... I wonder why that is... Congrats you are so close to having you bundle of joy...

For some... a membrane sweep does very little to encourage labor. I had one done last week and am waiting to find out when I can be induced as I have not gone into labor on my own. For others it can bring labor on that day!!! Good luck to you!

The doctor didn't do it! He said that I'm already dilated and her head is "right there" there is no need to put my body into shock like that. Maybe he's right, but I just wanted things to get going! Sorry no news for ya!!

Regarding stripping membraines. I was 39 weeks with both. It was slightly painful, but lasted only 5 seconds or so. Worth it if you're wanting your little one out!

I BELIEVE HAVING THEM SWEPT VARIES. WITH MY 3RD CHILD, I WENT INTO LABOR THAT NIGHT. WITH THIS ONE IT DID NOTHING BUT MAKE ME EXTREMELY CRAMPY FOR A FEW DAYS. I WAS INDUCED A WEEK LATER. GOOD LUCK AND HOPE ALL WORKS OUT FOR YOU.

This family is kind of wierd anyways. She doesn't want anyone to come up and see the baby unless they feel they must. We are all really close, so to us this is strange. Oh well, you are right. Mine will be here soon enough!

hello. i just came back from having it done. this is my second time. the first i went from 3 to 4cm/50% effaced and today i went to 5cm/75% effaced. but i am still not having contractions and my due date was yesterday. so i guess its when the baby is ready.

I have had my membraines stripped with my first 2 children. Both, I delivered within 2 days. Hope this helps.
