Hi
I have had my membraines stripped with my first 2 children. Both, I delivered within 2 days. Hope this helps.

cindylu - Monday, 28 April
I had my membranes swept last Tuesday. I was already 2 cm, 80% effaced and the baby's head is really low. I got a lot of cramping and contractions but they didn't become consistent. I went to labor and delivery to make sure it wasn't true labor because my husband is out of town and has to fly in for the birth. They monitored me and I walked around, but I was not dilating any more than 2 cm. They sent me home with some Ambien and in the morning the contractions were gone. I haven't had anything since, but I did lose my mucous plug.
If your body is ready for labor and your baby is ready, it will work, but you never know if you're ready or not. On the other hand, my doctor told me she swept 2 other women that same day and they both had their babies that night! If you do get swept you'll probably have contractions and cramping. Just monitor them, your baby may be on the way!

Hi Sarah, thanks a lot for the warm message you left on my page. I really appreciate all the words that you said. I know im getting scared but I know and Im hoping I would make it like everybody does.
I pray that we can make it all through and hold our baby as soon as possible. Godspeed.
