2/7/08

Today Mekhi had his first check up. Our peditrician is weird I am going to have to see if my crappy insurance has anymore to choose from. Well his weight is 5lbs and 2 ounces which the doc said is too low so I have to feed him every 2 hours. Yea I cant wait for him to useed to that schedule at night. Doc also said to give him a little water in between to help with gas. That was odd I have never heard to do that before. We will see if it works. Scott and I got the crib together today WOOHOO now I can finally get Mekhis nursery in order. I went to the doctor for my 2 week check up on 2/6 and weigh 113 even though I only gained 21 pounds I havent lostr much but at least only have a little bit to lose. Mekhi has some good night where he sleeps like 3 to 4 hours and like last night he wakes up every hour for no apparent reason but to have me hold him. I dont mind cause I love him and love taking care of him but I am definently walking around dazed and confused all day.

Well we made through our first night home and I even managed to get some sleep. Mekhi is doing great I feel so lucky that he is so healthy considering his early arrival. My mom is coming down to visit on saturday , she actually made these plans a few weeks ago to come see me while I was prego but this works out perfectly. I love my lil guy so much. I cant believe how much more love a person can have in there heart. You think you cant possible love more then do and then you meet your precious child and you feel like your going to burst with so much love. My daughter is thrilled over her baby bro and she wants to do everything for him, which is great she is such a big helper. I am so at peace with everything in life right now, its a wonderful feeling to have. I know we have problems like being dead broke since I was supposed to be working for 3 more weeks and all that money was for maternity leave, and I cant go buy much for the baby. I know everything will be okay and will work out for us. I love my family so much and everyone is healthy so I couldnt ask for anything more then that

We had our Baby!!!!!

Mekhi Anthony Chait born 1/21/08 5lbs. 1oz.

It all happened like this...........My braxton hicks have always been strong this pregnancy but fri and sat they became stronger then sunday 1/20/08 they were hurting and coming more frequent then ever.On sunday I went bowling and had a fun day with Scott and his parents I even told him that night that tomorrow1/21 was 1 month intill my due date( yeah right). The contractions hurt like period cramps so at the end of the day I began to time them and they were 8 to 12 minutes apart for 3 hours. I called my doctor and he said to go to the hospital if I was uncomfortable, okay whatever that means, go or not?. I figured I would go to sleep, that it was pre labor, I dont want to be one of those neurotic pregnant women racing to the hospital at every little thing and dont want to waste my time or theres with nothing. So I went to sleep waking up with a few contractions when I went to the bathroom in the night. The next morning I woke late around 9am, went to the bathroom to see blood and mucus on the tissue. I called my mom and we looked online to see if this was normal and I thought it was part of my plug I had been losing for weeks besides I had to go to work. I got out the shower and got hit with a hard "braxton" and thought ok let me go to the doc office and see whats up I told them on the phone I had to work so I would only come in if I could leave by 1130 for work and they agreed to fit me in. I got there having some more strong contractions on my way but only worried about making it to work on time. The doc checked me and said I was 3 to 4 centimeters dialated and in labor!!! What? no way- I havent even washed the babies clothes, the crib isnt coming in intill a week in half, Im not ready, he cant come yet- Im only 35 weeks and 5 days. She said go to the hospital and make a post partum appointment on my way out. NO he isnt coming today he just cant. She just laughed and said power of thinking. I called my boyfriend telling him the news and to keep working a few more hours Im not really having the baby yet, he said uh no Im coming now. I told them at the hospital to give me meds to make the labor stop Im not ready yet. They checked me again and I had already dialated to 5cent. since being at the docs 15 minutes ago. My boyfriend got there and we were so scared. It was to early and we didnt know if the baby was going to be okay . We said a prayer together for God to watch over all three of us. The doctor came in checked me and broke my water. Thats when it got real. I knew then I was having him and I broke down and cryed to my boyfriend we were so worried about the baby. At that point the contractions were strong but not unbearable but I didnt want to be about to push and not have the epi and it be to late so I got it. We were waiting intill I was 10 centimeters when I felt the baby drop in the canal I told Scott call the nurse NOW hes coming. The nurses and doc raced in- Dr. Landau stuck the tip of his finger in me and said break the bed shes ready. I pushed 3 times and at 3:51pm my beautiful baby boy was born!!!! He is perfect. He didnt have a single problem. They keep him in the nursery overnight to make sure everything was okay and it was. We both came home today 1/23/08 48 hours later. We are so lucky he is okay, he must have just wanted to come out early. I cant believe its over already it was such an unbelivable experience. We have nothing ready. Its been a mad scramble to get some clothes and blankets we have enough for the night but I have alot to do and get in the next few days. I couldnt have been more unperpared. I was planing to get evrything ready this week and next. Its all okay though because he is healthy. I have to add- my boyfriend is great he went home and got everything together, cleaned, went shopping for baby things, did laundry, went to the fire department to make sure the car seat was installed right. He was my hero!!!!

1/11/08

At todays doc appointment the baby weighed 4 lbs. and 11oz. I am happy that he gained weight about 7 oz a week. I weighed in at 118.5 a pound in a week, not bad think Ill go get another brownie:) I go back in 2 weeks.I won a dresser on ebay so hopefully we can pick it up sunday and get the crib this weekend too. Yeahh I cant wait to get things in order. Work has become very hard and frusttrating any more I think I am already in maternity lewave in my head.We finally decided on a name !!!Mekhi Anthony Chait. Time is going by fast yet slow

I had another check up today I now weigh 117.5. I am going back next week to have a u/s to see how much the baby weighs. I feel like I am close to being close 33 weeks and time really has gone fast. I got our car seat stroller this past week I like it alot I cant wait to have (no name yet) baby boy riding around and take him on walks to the beach.

I went to the doctors on friday , the baby is good weighs about 3.6 oz right now. We couldnt get any good shots of his face b/c he is so low and was covering up with his hands. I am at 116 lbs right now. I cant wait to have my son, I go back to the doc 1/4

In this pic I am 27 weeks far along and have just finished eating Thanksgiving dinner. This is our second child and we are thrilled to be having a boy since we have already been blessed with a beautiful girl. I cant wait intill february to have my baby boy!!
