Esme's six months old today! Had her well-baby checkup today and she's growing well...though she still has a small head for her age, which she has had since birth. So far everything's aok though. How I HAATTE the vaccinations. Thank goodness no more until 12 months.

Esme is quite the smiley, laughy girl these days. This week she started giving belly laughs, which cracks me up! I'll make funny faces and sounds for her and she finds it hysterical. It's awesome. Never knew I was so funny. :)

For some reason, half of my recent posts/pictures were erased by this site. :( I think it's happened to lots of people, eh? We finally got a couple of pics of Esme mid-smile! She's a smiley girl these days...that is, when she's not scrunching her face in discomfort from gassy pains, poor girl.

UPDATE: OUR LITTLE ESME WAS BORN WEDNESDAY, JULY 11, 2007, AT 2:22 PM WEIGHING 5 POUNDS 8 OUNCES, 19 INCHES LONG. SHE WAS ABOUT 3 WEEKS EARLY AND WHAT A BIG SURPRISE!!! WE ARE THRILLED. WILL POST PICS SOON. SORRY FOR THE DELAYED RESPONSES TO ALL.

23 weeks today! Time is flying by and I love it - I can't wait to meet Esme. I have been blessed with minimal health issues and discomforts. I hope it continues through the remaining trimester.

24 weeks now...though I truly believe I'm further along than my doc thinks...I've gotten HUGE lately and from a recent ultrasound the baby's size indicated she was 24 weeks last week! I'm going to bring it up at my next appointment on May 2. :) The sooner she's here the better! Hope all are well!!

5-11-07

I turned 26 yesterday - I was blessed to spend the entire day with my husband! Bad news is he has come down with a NASTY case of pink eye, of all things! Poor guy - he's pretty miserable. I pray I don't get it.

We have an ultrasound scheduled this morning - my uterus measured small at my last check-up, so we're checking her out. I sure hope all is well - she's got a strong heartbeat, so that's a good sign.

Little Esme's doing fine! She's just a small thing, which is fine with me as long as she's healthy! The smaller the body that I haveto push out the better :-) Hope all are well...

My cousin Staci threw us a Baby Shower on Memorial Day. We got lots of sweet outfits and some really useful stuff for Esme.

Had my checkup today - Esme is still cephalic (head down), which is always a relief to hear. I've been experiencing lop-sided belly this week for the first time. It's as if Esme rolls up and tries to put her entire body on one side of my belly. It's so strange to look down at my belly and it's conspicuously lop-sided! It's cute, though - I felt my belly on the 'flat' side and swear I could feel her little foot. :)

Monday morning and I feel exhaustion has set in again! It's 9am, I've been up an hour and a half and I'm totally spent already. I need a nap! Little nervous about this, too, as I start my last summer class tomorrow from 9-12:15 Tues through Thurs. We'll see how it goes...can't even have a cup o' joe! :-) Thank goodness only 5 (nearly 4) weeks left!
