Hello, well here I am in my second pregnancy. I married my husband on July 14, 2007 and concieved our child soon after than. I have one 6year old boy, and Chad has one 3yrs old girl. At this point we are moving into a new house and preparing to merge the family as much as possible.

.

Baby Guess!!!!! Give me your best guess as to boy or girl! Heart rate has been anywhere from 104-167! This is my 16week pic. sorry its a bad pic, I'll let you know on Dec.6 who is right!

2weeks later :) 1week after baby Photobucket 12/17/07 update: baby refuses to let us see just what its hiding between its legs. :( So i guess we will be surprised. I was really hoping to buy some gender specific baby excessories. Evenflo has the cutes girl and boy stroller. Oh well.

update: 12weeks left...not a whole lot going on these days. Baby has gone into the "to stuffy in here" mode. I get a hard jab every once in a while but for the most part it just moves around an wiggles every now and again. Today the baby has definetly dropped my ribs don't hurt I'm not getting poked and kicked in my ribs...don't know if this is good or bad but I'm taking it as it is "sweet relief" my joints are achy and I have a feeling that baby is closer to coming than I'm going to be ready for. Of course when I'm still preggy 14weeks from now I'll be wishing I'd never said this. :) I'm going to try begging dr to do a quick u/s on the 11th just to see if we can tell boy or girl. I really need to get some things for this little one to wear. :)

FINALLY WE KNOW!!!!!!!!

2/22/08 - I AM SOOOOOO TIRED! The whole plan is to work till labor starts...but dear lord give me strength today I wonder how I'm going to work till the end of the day. Lets hope a weekend of rest will give me the strength to make it next week.

02/26/08 - thank the lord I've gotten over last week. I think it was more mental drain than physical. We bought the baby a closet full of clothes, blankets and jammers...socks, onsies and bathroom supplies. My mommy mode has kicked into high gear and I am getting so excited to have a baby. (I'm still scared to death of dealing with no sleep, pain of delivery, working after) but all my complaining is over for the mean time, I'm just to darn happy.

03/17/08 - Everyday I look on this site, I'm ashamed of myself for not feeling the same as everyone else. Every woman on here seems to be rushing thru the last months as fast as they can. I just want time to slow down. :( I am so sad this will be the last time I ever have a baby bumping and thumping around in me. I didn't appretiate it the first time I was pregnant, so I think I've been holding on a little tighter to this one than I should. I love feeling her move and watching her bunch up...and even though there is pain and discomfort associated with having a baby I feel guilty talking or expressing it, because I know I'll never have it again. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited to be having a baby and she is very much planned and wanted...I think I just wanted to be pregnant longer...if that makes any since at all. 6weeks to go, so maybe by the end I'll feel the same way they do...ANYTHING to get this baby out. :) But for now...I love this pregnancy and I love being pregnant and I'm so happy that I've had a chance to experiance such a healthy and happy pregnancy.

I am great! How are you? I have kind of stepped away from this site lately. Its harder to find the time to chat it up. There is at least one of us on myspace and I talk to her there pretty often. Gus just learned that crying works for something so he's been showing us his lung strength a lot more. But still I am enjoying him and everything seems to be going very well, according to plan, just what's to be expected. We're having fun.

I am doing really great! How are you? How are you adjusting being back at work? You need to put some new pictures of Madalyn up!! I don't know how you have a new baby and two others! OMG! hehe You are super Mom!! I am doing good...still really soar! Is that normal? My gosh I hurt and I figured it had been 10 days I should be better by now...??! I dunno. Other than that I am doing good though. Breastfeeding is going really well! I LOVE doing it! I feel like I am creating such a bond with her, ya know? Its amazing! Are you still breastfeeding? Hows it going for you? I bet Madalyn is getting big!! Let me know! Oh, I am still wearing my pregnancy jeans! haha My tummy is practically back to normal, just needs some toning...but I think I gained weight EVERYWHERE because I can't get my pre-preggo jeans up past my knee! haha Oh well, that is what exercise is for! I don't fit into ANYTHING!! My pre-preggo tops dont fit either because I went from a "barley B" to a D!! Ugh! haha Time to go shopping!!! :)

We are very busy here, but well. We are getting plenty of sleep. More I think than in those last weeks of pregnancy even. The baby sleeps next to me in bed and I just roll on over, feed him, and roll away. My husband then burps him, changes him and puts him back down. We are both awake for fifteen minute intervals, half hour at the most. But Gus sleeps very well and only wakes up three or four times. During the day I nap with my toddler and the baby around noon to two or three. The problem is, no one else really does housework. So even though I am getting lots of rest, when I get up I am often disappointed that my husband and daughter haven't even noticed the dishes or laundry...etc. I am basically nursing all day long, so it's hard to fit in cleaning, but I get crazy if I don't have a clean house. We are working on getting organized around all of our needs. The kids love the baby and we are putting a lot of energy into making certain they all get their needs met and feel appreciated. It's hard work. My husband returns to work tomorrow and that will change things a lot. I mean, I will have to get all three kids taken care of in the morning, get my daughter to school, entertain our son, make snacks, lunch, push him on the swing...etc all while nursing and changing baby diapers, trying to stay rested and keep the house under control. I am a bit nervous about all that, but I bet you I'll surprise myself. My husband will be home by three and I will take a nap then and he will do after school care and prepare snack, maybe wash a dish or two??? We will see. That's the plan though. My mom will be over a lot this week, his mom the next, but soon we will be all on our own again. I don't go back to school until Fall, so I will be in stay at home mom mode for several months before we have to transition again into some new routine. Welcome to life! I know that if I stay positive and remind myself how lucky I am, even the bad days wont seem SOOOOooooooooo bad. Today has been great so far. I am reveling in the new baby, the sunshine and having my family all at home together. I just can't wait for nap time. Oh look! It's nap time now! hee hee

Gus McCoy Alexander Poulton was born at 6:29 pm April 29th. After one push I began to laugh hysterically, so filled with joy and love and relief. I laughed so hard that Gus was literally laughed out of my body. Everyone present began to laugh too and Gus was delivered into a room full of giggles and love. It was by far the most amazing thing that's ever happened to me. He weighed 8lbs and 5 oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long. He sleeps all day and squeaks all night, just like a baby.

She is a stunner! Congratulations on your third beautiful child! I had little Gaige on the 20th, but I had a long recovery in the hospital and at home. baby is a little gassy and has kept me up the last 2 days but i love her all the more. I miss my animals as I cant venture into the yard. My dog got so excited to see me on the 1st day she pushed her nose into my wound and pushed her way between my legs and that set me back a few days and lots of pain relief! I still cant bend over properly but I can at least pick baby up now without wincing. Its still worth all the trouble though! arent we lucky!

mitzumama - Monday, 28 April
Thank you. I need all the support I can get right now. At 34 weeks when he was trying to arrive early no one would have guessed I'd still be sitting here pregnant now!!! I had a good cry a minute ago, trying to just relieve some tension and lighten my emotional load. I will call my dr. tomorrow and tell her I am done, but I am disappointed that I'll have to be induced... unless of course some magic comes a calling and I have this baby tonight or tomorrow all on my own. I guess I still have high hopes.

first-time-mommy-to-b - Sunday, 27 April
What are you talking about? I am a HORRIBLE decorator!! haha But thank you for the compliment! I really worked hard on her room and actually dispite my lack of skills I am still pleased! hehe Thanks!! :)

first-time-mommy-to-b - Sunday, 27 April
YAY! My contractions have finally stopped. I had them 5 minutes apart for like 30 something hours!! OMG!!! But, they have finally gone away and now they are only come every once in a while...not timable. I never thought I would be excited to say that!! I think I just really wanted my Dr. to be here! So far so good...looking at Monday. Hopefully all of this at least gave me a head start for my induction on Monday! :) Won't be long and we will both have babies! YAY!! Hope everything is going well!

mitzumama - Sunday, 27 April
Nothing happened unfortunately. I am pretty disappointed about it today. All that hard work with nothing to show for it. It feels awfully discouraging at this point.

first-time-mommy-to-b - Friday, 25 April
haha! Well, he didn't actually say he thought I was crying wolf, but he is very dissapointed. I think he thought this would be quick! haha Contractions are still 5 mins apart, I have been having contractions now for about 18 hours...and they have been 5 mins apart for about 15 - 16 hours. BUT, they really very in intensity! Sometimes they hurt and others I don't feel them...just the tightness. The nurse said it sometimes does this with first time babies but my contractions were registering every time on the monitor and she said they were intense. BUT she also said that when this happens they could actually go away for a day or two and when they come back they will be full blown and I will be in active labor. Who knows?!?! All I know is I am doing everything she said to make them go away and come back on Monday. hehe My dr. is out of town and we are supposed to be induced Monday (which we just got word of about the time I started going into labor on my own). I hope that this will just give me a head start...they will go away and when I go in monday I will already be pretty dialated. Right now, since yesterday morning I have lost my plug, had a show and gone from nothing to 75% effaced and almost a 2. Not much, but alot of someone who had nothing! :) Anyway, I will keep you posted. Keep your fingers crossed that this will go away and I can get a few last min. things done this weekend and we can just have her Monday with MY dr. :) hehe Hows Madalyn?

mitzumama - Thursday, 24 April
I am so very, very ready to have this baby. I was surprised that I didn't go into labor last night. I have some pretty significant contractions.... yet, nothing. Today I am tight and uncomfortable and feeling a lot of pressure and irregular contractions but I have so much energy I have hardly sat down all morning. My son and I are just wandering around the house in circles. If the baby comes today I will be really quite impressed, but I doubt he does. He seems like a stubborn fellow. I will go up and down the stairs as much as I can, lift things, bend over, walk, run if I have to, and though the sex last night didn't lead to labor, I will try try again!!!!! I am determined!

mitzumama - Wednesday, 23 April
I'd say an upright and unburnt house is SUCCESS! I am sorry you are tired and I am doubly sorry you have to work. I am sure you'd rather be home staring at your baby. However, there is something beautiful about missing our babies. I think it makes us better mamas when we have significant time away. We just come home so much more willing to coddle and comfort them. I have been home with Charlie for 40 weeks now and we have had enough of each other. I am running out of creative ways to keep him interested and he has been allowed too much tv as I lounge on the couch. I really don't like to be THAT KIND of mama. I am looking forward to his preschool starting and me getting back to my school work and teaching to keep us both sane. My husband is really looking forward to his paternity leave. He will be home with all of us for a week after the baby comes. Of course my mother in law will take my older children a lot of the time so I can rest and bond with Gus, but there will be days all five of us will be home. That is going to be crazy, but I'd better get used to it. hee hee. Thanks for all your water breaking wishes. I kinda like that idea. Talk to you soon.

mitzumama - Wednesday, 23 April
No labor for me yet, but soon.... I am due tomorrow and I know that my midwife has no interest in making me wait too long after that. I am feeling pretty tired and would love a good nap before going into labor. I see my midwife today and I think she will sweep the membrane and try to get things moving for us. I do not want to be induced if it isn't medically needed but this baby is going to be HUGE if I wait too long. Ahhhhh! How are you and your babies?
