Around the begining of my pregancy I was experiancing excrutiating pains in my stomach. I went on with my day best I could assuming it was a bad case of gas. The pain went on for a fiew days until one morning after a sleepless night I decided to go to the hospital. Unfortunantly even at 4am the hospital was packed with people. After waiting 4 hours I began to get irritated and was about to go home and just then the doctor called my name. He examined me for quite awhile and he said it looked to him like I had a tubicular pregnancy. That's when the baby is growing in the ovarian tube, if the baby grows large enough it could rupture your tube and kill you. Right then I was hooked up to a morphine iv and then a little while later they took me in for surgery. When I woke after surgery I asked a nurse if my baby was ok. I still remember her exact words, "oh they didn't tell you? you lost your baby." I was devistated. It'd been years since I cried that hard, I eventually cried myself to sleep and woke to my boyfriend. He came from work to support me. Im not sure if it was hours or days later when they took me in for another ultra sound, I totally lost my sence of time. During the ultra sound everyone was surprised to see my baby was where it should be. But there was more bad news, the baby's heart rate was at 80 when it should have been between 120-140. I was told there was no chance of this baby surviving. She said "you are going to misscarry." and now 6 months later my baby boy is as healthy as could be.

The doctor said when she was inside me during surgery she found a large blood clot in my ovarian tube and assumed the baby was inside of the clot.

My little man is so tough, he truely is a miracle.

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

As far as I know they will only induce you if you are having complication they like to leave you baby baking as long as possible to make sure he or she is born healthy. No if they have a better chance of surviving outside the womb then they will take it. Like me I know that I am going to have to get a C-Section so I know my son will be born a little earlier than expected because they will have to schedule the date and it's always earlier. Sometimes too they often do it before it you are having a big baby.

I do agree with that also I want to get a 3d ultra sound too but why pay for it. That's crazy Invent something like a monitor where we can see exactly what our babies are doing and let that last 45 to an hour and then charge us for something worth it

You mucus plug is a reddish/pinkish color kinda looks like spit almost. and the pains that you are having are normal it's just the baby try to get into the birth canal and the spreading of your pelvic bones.

*lovelymomma* - Friday, 5 September
I supose it probably could have been but I'm no expert this is my first pregnancy thus why I asked my doctor about my discharge cause I really wasnt sure what it was or could be.

*lovelymomma* - Friday, 5 September
She said it could be anywhere from light yellow or green to red pink or brown it's really not the same for everyone.

redmum - Friday, 5 September
from what i've read and been told the mucous plug is kinda what it sounds like. gooey and a yellowish off-white thing, often with a bit of brownish-red bloody residue in it. yuckie! but it does an important job so i'm not going to let myself get grossed out about it!
