I read your post on the Plus Size forum and UGH! It makes me so mad because everything you said is true! I am fortunate to have a doctor who hasn't said word one about my weight, and who hasn't made me feel bad about being a bigger woman! I have heard and read some things that people (not just doctors) have said to pregnant women and it is just horrible!! I'm sorry that your doctor is being an a**. If your a1c came back within range, then guess what? You arent' a diabetic, and your doctor knows that! And there is no reason why they should not be able to determine the sex of your baby with a U/S. For your doctor to say such things to you, to try to make you feel bad about yourself, to try to make you feel less than you are is unprofesssional-and to me-unforgiveable. I hope that your doctor doesn't get you down and that you remember what a truly wonderous thing you are doing by bringing a new life into this world!

IM A PLUS SISED MOM TOO AND THEY DID ALMOST THE SAME THING TO ME THAT THEY ARE DOING TO YOU... MY BABY WAS MEASURING NORMAL UNTIL I WAS ABOUT 24 WEEKS AND SHE STARTED MEASURING 3 BIGGER THAN NORMAL... HE WAS CONVINCED THAT I HAD GD BECASUE OF HER SIZE AND SENT ME FOR THE TEST... I HAVE 2 CHILDREN ALREADY AND MY LAST ONE WEIGHT 9 ' 9". HE WOULDNT EVEN LISTEN WHEN I TOLD HIM THAT I HAVE BIG BABIES... I CAME BACK NEGITIVE FOR GD AND HE NEVER EVEN APOLIGISED... THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY COULDNT TELL ME WHAT I WAS HAVING EITHER BECAUSE OF MY WEIGHT... I THINK THERE ALL JERKS... WELL IT TOOK AWHILE AND I DID FIND OUT IM HAVING A VERY BIG GIRL... SO KEEP YOUR HEAD UP... I EAT WELL AND HAVE NOT GAINED ANY WEIGHT SO FAR... GOOD LUCK AND DONT LET INGNORANT PEOPLE GET YOU DOWN...OH AND BY THE WAY I STARTED BEING PREGNANT AT 287 SO IM PRETTY LARGE... I NOW WEIGHT 260
