Izzy is HERE!! 9/2/09
I am pregnant! My husband and I tried to get pregnant for a year and two months, when it finally happened in December of 2007 after two cycles of Clomid. We made it to our first ob appointment at 10 weeks, when we were told by ultrasound that we had a missed miscarriage. The baby was dead. I had a D&C on January 24, 2008.
We started ttc again and couldn't get pregnant, so in September 2008 I decided to make an appointment with a Repro. Endocrinologist. I had to go through a lot of tests, hormonal testing and a hydrosonography to check for scarring. The doctor told me that I wasn't ovulating properly if at all. I was getting positive OPKs until I started going to him, then I guess somehow I was missing the surge. We tried one cycle of clomid and they monitored the follicles. I didn't get a surge on OPK that month., the doctor told me my ovaries don't work very well, and to take progesterone to thicken my lining and to start my period in a timely manner for the next cycle. So I just relaxed for the next two weeks knowing that their was no chance of pregnancy this cycle, and I was waiting on the next cycle to start. Then the plan was to try higher dose of clomid with I.U.I then injectibles...
BUT we didn't get that far. I never started my period after finishing the progesterone; I thought my hormones were so screwed up that I wasn't starting. So the doctor had me come in the day after Christmas to do a blood preg test. They called and said it was positive!!! I was not expecting that at all! They had told me I wasn't ovulating, but the doctor then said that I obviously was.
What is so weird about this is that my pregnancy has the EXACT same timing as the previous one! It's been hard, but I am trying to stay positive. God answered my prayers in a way that is so amazing!

Hi everyone! Its been so long since i've posted, I have been trying to write a blog, however every time I try it doesn't go through. So a quick update is definetly in store!! Gavin is 25 months old and is growing at amazing speed! He can count to 5, knows all his body parts, is potty trained, and is amazing to his little sister. Emma is 7 months old! Wow!! I can't believe it! She is crawling, sits by herself, babbles a lot. She has bright red hair and gorgeous blue eyes. She is always happy! She started on baby food this month, we waited due to some allergy concerns, but she is doing wonderfully! She is the perfect baby, she sleeps good, only cries when she needs something, and adores her big brother. She will happily sit and watch him play. She has two teeth as of last week and two more coming in. Her smile is contagious. Both Gavin and Emma are complete mommy kids. They want nothing to do with anyone else and I am not complaining. Although it does make daddy a little sad. I hope you all are well!!
