About Your Pregnancy
Is this your first pregnancy?:	no, i had a miscarriage in august...
When did you find out you were pregnant?:	when i lost my taste for alcoholic beverages. something was certainly wrong!
Was it planned?:	no, i got pregnant on the 34th day of my cycle!
What was your first reaction?:	haha, i'm not going to say in case my kid ever finds this...
Who was with you when you found out?:	just my puppy.
Who was the first person you told?:	my husband, although he probably would have figured it out eventually.
How did your parents react?:	my mother cursed the virgin mary in italian because she still had not paid my 5-figure emergency room bill from my miscarriage (yay for having no maternity insurance). but after i got into my second trimester and everything seemed to be going well she was very happy.
How far along are you?:	23 weeks as of march 11th.
What was your first symptom?:	i stopped wanting my nightly glass of wine, followed by constant throwing up, positive pregnancy tests, ultrasound evidence of a baby and a large stomach.
What is your due date?:	the doctor and the ultrasound tech can't agree on a date, it's either july 4th or 12th (julius caesar's birthday!)
Do you know the sex of the baby?:	affirmitive.

Have you picked out names?:	yes; a cause of maritial strife in palazzo garcia
If so, what are they?:	i wanted beatrice, after beatrice portinari, of dante's divine comedy and vita nuova; HUSBAND wanted something that sounds less like a 'fat tuba player'. we settled on lily alexander. after alexander the great.
How much weight have you gained?:	ENTIRELY TOO MUCH. about 25 pounds so far.
Do you have stretch marks?:	yes, but they are from when i was a fat kid.
Have you felt the baby move?:	yes, she moves a lot and is always kicking things she shouldn't, like my cervix and vital organs.
Have you heard the heartbeat?:	yeah, i wasn't too impressed.
About the Birth
Will you keep the baby?:	if the state doesn't take her away!
Home or hospital birth?:	hospital. but more than likely the chic-fil-a or somewhere like that, with my luck.
Natural or medicated birth?:	as medicated as a person can possibly be!
Who will be in the delivery room with you?:	my mother and husband.
Will you breastfeed?:	yes, but with a bottle. it icks me out to have anyone's mouth on me, especially my own child's.
Do you think you'll need a c-section?:	maybe, if the baby is big. i'm pretty tiny.
Will you cry when you hold the baby for the first time?:	if i'm not too doped up on painkillers!
What's the first thing you might say to him/her?:	you keep away from my diamond collection!
Would you let someone videotape the birth?:	only if i manage to bring my stylist along to do my hair and makeup before the filming begins.
Are you excited about the birth, or scared?:	terrified! vagina stitches do not excite me.
