Monday, 12 May Thank you very much for sharing your experience! I heard about beer and going to get some tomorrow, on Monday. I am really determined to increase my milk production. Thank you again and good luck!!! mommacrstl -
Monday, 12 May hi, are you using a manual pump or a hospital grade electric pump? I highly reccomened renting a hospital grade pump like the medela classic or pump and go from your local lactaition consultant or hospital. It will run you about $30 to $40 per month wich is still cheaper in a 12 month period than purchasing outright. I had to pump all my daughters meals due to refusal to nurse after she got sick and was too weak to nurse. ( she got a bottle and the little booger decided she couldn't be bothered to work at the breast again lol) the HG pumps are nearly as good as your baby getting milk out and it will help to keep your supply up. also try taking 4 capsuls of fenurgreek 3 times per day. you know you're taking enough if your pee smels like maple syrup. hope this helps :) Hang in there, I've been where you are and understand the fear about milk drying up :) cadesmommy -
Sunday, 11 May seim, have you tried a drug called reglan. It is amazing. It will increase your milk more than you can imagine. I tried everything (fenugreek, tea, beer, eating more) and reglan was the only thing that worked for me. The major side effect is depression so just dont take it for too long. I was on it for 5 weeks and at the end I started to feel down. My doc was an idiot and put me on it too long. The pharmacist told me you should be on like 2-3 weeks. As far as her taking the boob I am sorry but I dont have any advice. I am sure some of the other mommies will have some for you. Good luck :) NOTE: Older messages are compressed to speed up the website.
