Well, Bryce entered the world on August 7th at 4:48am weighing in at 4lbs. 14oz., 17in!! The Dr. decided to induce me on Monday, August 6th around 6pm because of weight issues (Bryce did not want to grow!!) When my contractions got to the point where I was really uncomfortable I requested my epidural...what a life saver...until Bryce's heart rate started to drop into the 60's. Dr.'s were called in and stimulated him and I had to lay on my left side to keep his heart rate above 100 bpm. Then his heart rate started to drop again into the 60's after a couple hours, but this time the Dr. could not get it back up after several attempts of stimulation and getting me in so many weird positions I didnt know what to do with myself. The OB Dr. then came in to see everything that was going on and made the decision to do an emergency c-section =( I then proceeded to be pushed into the OR, scared as anything already and wondering if my baby was going to be okay, and I started panicking while I was waiting for my husband to be allowed in with me after being put on the OR table and prepared for surgery because of the fact that I am EXTREMELY claustrophobic!!!! When my husband was finally allowed in with me, I lost it, bawling my eyes out like a little baby and breathing so heavy that I couldnt catch my breath!! I asked the anesthesiologist (after he was wondering what was wrong with me) if he could please take off the O2 mask and unvelcro my arms...in which he did...thank goodness because I dont know if I could have made it an hour like that!! But my little guy is here now and he is doing WONDERFUL and didnt even have to go to the special care nursery for long (only a couple of hours)!! I was happy for that and we are now at home...HAPPY and comfortable!
