Birth Story

my water broke around midnight on saturday night and for a few hours after going to the hospital i wasnt having any contractions and then i took a shower because i felt gross from all the fluid running down my legs lol. and that started my contractions. after like 5 or 6 hours my contractions got soo painful i was crying with everyone.I asked them for IV meds which didnt help any pain just made me sleepy and out of it but i couldnt sleep at all because of how bad my contractions were. then i decided to get an epidural which wasnt that bad, the thing that hurt the most was the numbing shot which i s like 30 seconds of pain. the only thing was that i kept getting sharp pain on my right side the whole time she was doing it and then i kept getting contractions the whole time which sucked. but once i got the epidural everything was good. i didnt feel a thing. after that my blood pressure got low and her heart rate was dipping with each contraction so the put me on oxygen and put a scalp clip on Naveahs head to monitor her heart rate better. around that time my contractions were getting really far apart so they gave me some pitocin and in an hour i had went from 7 to 10 cm dilated. around 5 or 5:30 pm i started pushing which was hard at the beginning because i couldnt tell if i was pushing or not because i was so numb. ew and a really gross t happened, i pooped while i pushed! it was so nasty but at the time i didnt care i just wanted her out lol. but i guess that happens to alot of ppl. well at 6:32 pm she was born she was 8 lbs 6.6 oz and 19 a 3 quarters long. i tore really bad, because her head and shoulder came out at the same time. which really painful imight add. but the birth and al that wasnt pinful just before the epidural and after the epidural wore off which was a few hours later

February 21

Well i am 2 days over due now. I went to the hospital on the night of my due date and i havent made any progress. the only thing that is different is i lost my mucus plug. Which is disgusting its like jello/snot lol. It has been coming out since the yesterday. How much is in there?! but yeah i have an appointment on monday to set my induction date which hopefully i dont make it that long! and it would really suck if she was born on the 29th because its leap year and the 29th wont be back for 4 more years!

February 19

Had an appointment on monday and only 3 CM! ugh this is takin sooo long, i am due tomorrow. I SHOULD BE IN LABOR!! lol. i guess she is too comfy to come out. i keep havin painful contractions but they have no pattern or anything. but hopefully she comes out soon and i dont have to wai ta week or whatever to be induced!

February 10

well i had my baby shower last saturday. It went great, there were soooo many ppl there they barely fit in my house! lol. But yea i got ALOT of gifts, I got a glider and ottoman set, A brand new stroller, a BUNCH of clothes, and like 15 packs of diapers (all diff. sizes which is good). we ordered a cake from costco which was a big mistake they made the cake blue when we didnt even ask for it. it was ugly but owell lol. everyone thought it tasted good so whatever lol. Naveah got like 5 homemade blankets =] my old best friend made her this really cute one with a heart and an N stitched into it♥ after that i had a dr appt. on moday and i am stil only dilated to 1 freakin cm!! i was sooo dissapointed, but i guess shes just too comfy to come out.. i am def. not comfy lol. i cant wait to see my beautful little girl!

January 31

Well we did the baby shower shopping today. well most of it. all the decorations and game stuff cost close to or above $150 who knew baby showers would be so expensive! lol We are going to buy the food tomorrow oh and the baby shower is on the 2nd lol, forgot to mention that one lol. we are gettin 2 cakes. one that says "Welcome Naveah Renee-Marie" and another one that says "congratulations Shanee and Keenan" well i am officially 37 weeks as of yesterday. getting real close!

January 23

I had a doctors appointment on monday the 21st. and i am 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced!! I am so excited, she will be here soon. before the baby shower maybe?? I also had the hospital tour on Tuesday the 22nd, that was fun. i have already seen the labor and delivery room from when i went in last time but i never got to see the postpartum rooms which are kind nice but not as nice as the L&D rooms. well thats it for now i have an appointment on the 4th soo i will update then, unless she comes before then =] Oh and im 36 weeks today officially 9 months!

January 16

Well on Jan. 5th i went to the hospital and got checked out to see if i was in labor (long story about why i thought that) when i got there they hooked me up to monitors and i was having little contractions. so i ended up staying there from 10 30 to about 3 in the morning. On the 7th i went to the doctor and she checked me and my cervix had softened to the point where she could push her finger inside it if she tried. so i got told that i need to take it easy for the next two weeks so naveah wont be a Preemie. Im 35 weeks right now so i just gotta make it one more week. but i dont think i will because i am always in pain when i walk and i have been having contractions, They arent painful but i can definatly feel them. i am hoping she will be here soon!

December 11

Hm lets see.. what updates do i have.. well me and my boyfriend saw Naveah move from the outside of my belly these past few weeks. keenan thinks its nasty but i think its funny lol. um i will be 30 weeks tomorrow, so im gettin real close! it doesnt feel close enough though, because i see my friends and they are either in laor or already had their babys =[ buuuut yea i dont think that much has happened in the past few weeks. if i remember anything ill come back and update =]

November 6

Well alot has happened since i last updated. i went to this ultrasound session where they were teaching doctors how to do ultrasounds. it was really fun i got paid $100 a day to get ultrasounds. she was so cute! we saw her drinking, making breathing movements, and she peed ALOT lol. ever since the u/s she has been moving non-stop =] its so adorable. well ill be 25 weks tomorrow, so almost 7 months!!

October 22

Well naveah is doin real good. she got the hiccups for the first time today. it was so cute =]] she kicks all the time now and now she kicks above my belly button whiich is different but i'd rather have her kick there than my bladder lol. well im 6 months now and my back is starting to hurt =[[

October 7

Well i got the ultrasound on friday and.... ITS A GIRL!!!! im so excited, shes exactly what i wanted =] she weighs about 15 oz. 1 more ounce and she will be one whole pound =D when we found out my boyfriend screamed and jumped in the air it was hilarious. he wanted a little girl too. i have the ultrasound pics up. now i can really go shopping =] well take care everyone.

september 2

Went to the doctor on the 29th. everything was good, heard the babies heartbeat for the first time! i go back at 19 weeks and find out what the baby is at 20 weeks shoppin time woo hoo!

August 22

I'm officially 14 weeks (4 months) im super excited to go to the ultrasound and find out what the baby is. finally went out and bought some maternity clothes, none of my old clothes fit! it really sucks, but hey i just get to go shopping for new clothes =]]

August 20

im 13w 5d now. very excited for my doctors appt. next wednsday, we will probly get to hear the heart beat, still havent gotten to hear it, just seen it on the ultrasound. we get to make our next u/s appt. on wednsday. im super excited, they have only given me 1 u/s i wonder if you can schedule u/s whenever you want.. if anyone knows please fill me in thanks.

August 15

the last couple weeks have been pretty good. got some morning sickness yesterday. hopefully that will be stopping soon! i have had some cramping but it goes away as quickly as it comes. in 6 days ill be 4 months woo hoo! cant wait i find out what the baby is in september! cant wait =] well thats about it. hope everyone has a wonderful pregnancy and healthy babies!

July 25

I'm now 10 weeks and 1 day pregnant. nothing super eventful today. i have a appt. in 2 days, i hope i get to make another ultrasound appt.

July 23

I'm 9 weeks and 5 days pregnant. I know im young but i am more than ready to be a mom. me and the daddy are uper excited and cant wait for baby to be here!everyone in both our families are SO supportive which feels really good. im glad i wont be a single mom but not sure how im going to share my little one lol.
