Hello, my name is Shannon. I'm 25 and currently pregnant with my first child. I'm happily engaged to my soulmate, Pete, who is 26. We were trying to conceive for 11 and a half months before finally falling pregnant. We are so happy and excited and it seems to be taking forever until we can find out if it's a boy or girl! We wanna buy baby stuff!
*1st Trimester Update*

So I figured I'd update once again since my many pictures and entries were someone erased from my profile. For anyone who has not read my profile before it was erased, I'm 25, and happily engaged to the man that I've loved since the 9th grade. We were trying to conceive for eleven and a half months before finally finding out we were pregnant on july 20th. I gained weight more quickly than I'd hoped but oh well, the little one is healthy. Had majorrrr morning sickness throughout the first trimester. Major moodswings, etc. I first found out i was pregnant after 2 weeks of soreeee boobs. I'm due March 14th, 5 days after my birthday :) We had our first ultrasound at 8.5 weeks and the babys heartbeat was around the 180s.

* A Little While After Entering My 2nd Trimester *

~ 18 weeks - (October 11th) - Anyways, I'm 18 weeks pregnant today, although it says I have one more day on this site. Ah well, every site seems to be different. Some sites say the little one can hear you after 20 weeks, this one says after 18 weeks, so i'll stick to this one lol When I got to hear my little ones heartbeat again on my 17th week, it was in the higher 140s lower 150s. Big difference since the 180s in my 8th week! I'm going to have to put my older belly pics up here again as soon as i get the 18 week belly pics developed and scanned, what a difference! In my older ones i was 12 weeks, and just looking like i ate too much. Once you see the 18 weekers, i can safely say i popped :D I've moved up from a 36B to a 38C cup as well, and have some stretch marks around my boobs, but around the nips mostly :( Yes, i'm using lotion. I don't get sick anymore really but I do get hungry pretty much at least once an hour now, so that's a pain. I've been eating a lot of strawberries lately. My cravings change like once a week, again, another pain! Also still getting those so called 'ligament pains' in my lower abdomen after sitting too long, walking too much etc.. my lower back kills every night now while i'm sleeping, I wake up constantly.. tossing and turning. My legs start too hurt, and i have to use a pillow under my belly while I lay down now. Ok, so it's kinda hard trying to update so much in one paragraph after losing it all lol I find out if it's a GIRL or a BOY on October 29th, 18 more days!

~~ JANUARY 17th, 2008 ~~

I deleted a lot of my stuff and am taking the chance AGAIN that my profile won't get all messed up. It's been awhile since I've updated cause I just got way to frustrated with this website. I had my 33 week Doctors appointment yesterday and my little girl is doing great. Awhile back, I'd mentioned that i was afraid I was having a big baby, but he confirmed yesterday that I'm 33 weeks pregnant, and my little Alyvia is measuring 32 weeks. So no more fear of that! I was still gaining weight pretty quickly, 3 or 4 lbs in 2 weeks.. but yesterday they said i haven't gained any weight in the past couple weeks so that made me really happy. Both my little girl and I are healthy and not overweight :D Guess it's time to add the latest belly pics..

I was lucky enough to catch her on cam poking her foot out, and her first body shot as she was shifting positions :D (31 Weeks Preggers)

Jan.30th, 2008 ~35 weeks~

Had my 35 week appt today..and my little Aly is measuring 34/35 weeks so she's doing great! and my doc confirmed that i was right.. my due date was off.. i'm due march 8th, not 14th.. which explains why my little girl was measuring differently.. and why my tickers were always a week behind what my doc said etc.. i knew i was a little further along! i know a week isn't MUCH, but you's guys know how long a week feels like when you're 8 months preggo! now i have the joy of fixing all my tickers, yay :( The only icky part, is that my birthday is march 9th, and my fiancee's birthday is Feb 24th, so now all three of us's bdays are smushed together.. we're all piceans though :D
I'm getting so excited, my baby shower is Feb 10th, and I can't wait to get more baby stuff! We just bought her crib last weekend, I got butterflies watching him put it together for her. I'm getting more and more lathargic every day. More tired, lazy, painful, etc..
My back is killing me, my hips kill me when i'm laying on my side, my pubic bone feels like it's breaking in a million pieces when i walk most of the time, I have to pee constantly so I wake up every hour, etc.. ugh!
My doctor also told me that when I start to feel menstrual like cramps, those are contractions so that explains why now and then i get that periody feeling. Next appointment i get to start the whole internal exams again, joy, joy.

~Feb.13th,2008.. 37 weeks~

She's on her way! in 2 days i'll be 37 weeks, and she's measuring at 36 weeks, so that was perfect. At least I won't have to worry about being induced early cause of a big baby like i feared at the beginning. And I'm 1 cm dilated and my cervix is soft :D he said it's like the neck of a funnel, and mine is half gone, so i only have half more to lose :D He also said he 'tickled her head'.. poor little girl has barely moved since he did that, probably scared the crap outta her. At least I know her head is wayyyy down where it's supposed to be, and he also said what i thought it was was right, that her little butt is what keeps stickin out all around my belly button, so she's in perfect position :D Guess I don't have to worry about her being breech or whatever. Thank God. I asked him if he thought i'd make it to my due date and he said 'yes give or take a week..' ok that didn't help, cause since i have around 3 weeks left, that means anytime between a week and 4 weeks, thanks doc!

~37 Week Belly Shots~

~Alyvia Grace Is Here! March 13th, 2008~

After over 24 hrs of no sleep and not eating from being so anxious, and After a longggggg 13 hours of labor and 40 minutes of pushing.. my little girl finally stubbornly made her way into the world at a healthy 8lbs 5oz and 19 inches on March 13th at 7:50pm..with a full head of hair.. she is SO perfect, and SO beautiful. She was born a healthy baby, except came down with a fever just like Mommy, and she couldn't come home with me saturday since they were waiting for the 48 hr test results to come back. So i came home after crying about 5 times over feeling like I was abandoning her, to take a shower and get a little rest without hearing nurses in and out etc.. and went back there around 11:30pm saturday night to spend the night with her I HATED being there without her.. i felt so empty and lost. Then the next morning we found out AGAIN we couldn't take her home cause she came down with Jaundice. Ugh. She had to be under the florescent lights all day and night and was only brought to me to breastfeed. of course i spent the night there again to be with her. I went to the nursery when they told me that she wouldn't stop crying without me, and they let me sit there with her in a glider chair with one of those florescent lighted blankets over her. she went right to sleep. We finally got to take her home monday morning and it seems as if she's doing so much better here now. I can't stop looking at her. She got taken away from me so much during the weekend, that i think I now have some kind of separation anxiety. I can't sleep without her on my chest, she seems to freak out when she wakes up if she's alone, i have this overwhelming fear that something is going to happen to her if i'm not right there with her, etc.. it's scary. this weekend scared me. I love my little girl so much more than i thought i could ever love anyone.
