My husband and I just got married in April 07. I got pregnant right away, but lost my first pregnancy. I had a D&C in July 07. That was when Sean and I decided to save a life--we adopted a dog named Tanner. He has really helped us get through the tough times. He is our only baby right now but, not for long! Three months after the surgery, I got pregnant again (in October)! So far so good... I worry at times but try not to let the past get the best of me. Going through that was horrible! Anyway, that is just a brief story which eventually led me here! I love this site because I can be reminded that I am not alone!

I unfotunatly am not in the hospital! I wish though! Like you said could be ANY TIME. For both of us!! (I did bleed a little bit after being checked by the way) WEll I'm off for the weekend. have a great 4th!! Hopefully I WONT talk to you on Monday cause i'll be in labor!

Yeah the nurse, bless her heart

, said they have had way more woman in there for dumb reasons. Reasons that arent even related to being pregnant. So that helped a little.
I hope I dont make it to my next appointment but who knows. They said its just as easy to walk around to 40 weeks like this as it is to go into labor. It all depends on when the little one wants to come. I'm hoping today!

Yeah I would definitely demand to know something! Not knowing would kill me. Although I will tell you that knowing isnt much better because you just hold out the hope that any second water will come gushing down your legs and youll have horrible cramps...but no..nothing happens!

I dont have an appointment till Monday (7-7) because of the holiday so I have a ways to wait before I know anything. It sucks. I went into L&D yesterday cause I thought I might be leaking fluid...but nope I wasnt. So they sent me home. I felt like an idiot!

Oh well though. I was another 1/2 cm dilated which brings me to 4 1/2 so that was nice but again..that doesnt mean she will come early on her own.

Let me know how your appointment goes! I hope you are dilated and effaced!

Its weird wishing that for someone! Good luck! Keep me posted!

Unfortunatly I did make it through the weekend! YUCK! I am tired of this! I am so uncomfartable its not even funny. From the sounds of it you are too!

I went to the dr. friday and he "guesstimated" her weight at 7 1/2 lbs. already! So they said they will talk about inducing me next week. I'm hoping she comes on her own but who knows...And to top it all off we get possession of our house this saturday! STRESS!!!!

hi you - i had my 36/37 wk check up and i am dilated to 1 and my cervix is very soft!!! after being checked i had contractions for 4 hrs, but just as i was leaving for the hospt. they of course stopped. gonna rest the rest of the week and then have some raspberry tea..we shall see. its getting so close..

Hey, Yes I am officially a married woman!! Love it!

It was perfect actually. I'm glad I "gave in" and we did it that way. It makes it more private.
The doctor told me thursday that I am 3 cm dialted and 90% effaced! Unfortunatly that doesnt necessarliy mean I'll go early. My pelvic bone hurts so much I can hardly walk. It is MISERABLE! I wish I was off work, at home, on the cough and eating carbs like you! Your a lucky woman trust me!! I wish theyd stick me on bedrest!

. I'd happily do it. I;m having all kinds of aches and pains! lots of cramping but not enough that its contractions which sucks! I'm ready for labor even if it is painfull! I just want to be done! (like you said!)

Haha yeah I didnt do my good deed...I think I was well overdue for one anyways!!

And yeah it is a mess. I'm thankful that we only got the little bit of water in our basement that we did. There is just too much going on right now! Floods, babies, weddings, moving....I'll be glad when its all over with!!

As far as I know we are OK on the floods so far....Hopefully!! Its so disgusting! The city we live close to, about 20 minutes away, (the one I work in) got flooded really bad and it hit the sewage plant so they basically had to let the sewage run all over, YUCK!! So they have been saying on the news to stay away from the water (especially pregnant woman) because the water is so contaminated. The other day I was driving and saw a family and their 2 kids outside and the kids were in their swimsuits playing in the water!!! I rolled my window down and told them it was gross water and they should stay out of it and the parents gave me the worst look ever! I was thinking "I cannot believe you guys are letting them play in the water!!! YUCK!!!" But we just drove off. I figure I'm too old and fat to be getting in fights! :) lol

Yeah that pelvic pain is rotten!! I cannot believe how much it hurts!! And yes, Agreeed, turning over in bed is hard enough let alone with shooting pains going through your bones. Like we dont go through enough?!?!?

And I will definitely be happy to get this weight off me as well. I walk up the stairs and feel like I just ran a marathon, legs are sore out of breath, etc... I feel so pathetic! haha

haha Thats funny cause I took Psych. classes in college also. And as interesting as it was I just could stay 100% focused on it so...

And you are right about my family. I love them all but I will drive myself crazy if I try to please everyone.

I hear ya on the pelvic pains. I read (and im sure you did too) about "ligaments streching so you might have pains in your pelvic/pubic bone" Oh my god! It is honestly the worst pain ive ever had...so far!

I can hardley walk in the mornings or after Ive been sitting for a long period of time. Its terrible. I feel like my hips are going to split in two!

Yeah an ounce a day! That is crazy! I'm so excited to see her fat little face and toes, all that. I just met with HR at work to discuss my maternity leave. Its so exciting cause I know its almost time!! I can't wait! Are you nervous about giving birth at all? Surprisingly enough i'm not nervous at all, not even a little. I'm so excited I dont have room for anything else!

Maybe as the time gets closer and closer I will get a little more nervous, who knows....

You are very good at reassuring people! Or me at least! I'm excited to marry Nick and although it is definitely NOT how I pictured getting married its alright. And we are having the "big wedding" in a year so...Is it stupid to get married twice?

Yeah you cant please everyone that is for sure. And although I dont want to hurt peoples feelings I figure this is what me and Nick decided on and want and we are a family now so with all do respect to my relatives...They just cant have their way anymore!

That sounds so mean but its true.

I agree about it being a special time in our lives. I almost feel like even though I'll have little or no sleep and be running around like a chicken with its head cut off I'll still be more relaxed when this is all over with! (and I mean all of it wedding, birth, moving, etc...) I cant wait!

Enough with my complaining. How is everything with you?

Hey-My weekend sucked, we kind of got packing done. If you call cleaning out the basement because of flooding packing.... We live in Iowa so I dunno if you have heard about the floods or not. We didnt get it too bad though THANK GOD! Just our dirty old basement got water. But like I said we had a lot of junk down there so we did get a head start on cleaning out the house before the move!

Also because of the floods I missed my Dr's appointment so I have it rescheduled for this Thurs. I havent heard what position shes in or had the strep test done yet so I'm pretty anxious. You would think I have enough on my plate but nope! I gave in (like ALWAYS!) and decided if it was important to Nick it was important to me and so now we are getting married this friday. And my sister who is in spain is pissed that she isnt coming. But I just want my mom and dad and Nicks mom and stepdad. Because we are going to have the "real wedding" in like a year. And if I invite my sister then I feel obligated to invite Nicks sisters (from both sides of the family) then you get into grandparents and then it turns into a small ceremony and thats not what I want. I want the stupid piece of paper so that Nick is happy and thats it! Do I sound like a bitch? Its so damn stressful. And it shouldnt be. All I wanna do is have my baby!

Yeah...camo... :) I myself would choose something a little different but...Like you said it is cute that he is picking it out. And he's VERY excited about it too!

My weekend went well. Nothing too exciting. Storm after storm here. We are going to get flooded out!!

We put a bid on a house so thats exciting. Although I already told Nick not to expect much from me when or if we move! Its terrible timing to house hunt but thats alright.
Yes I have my moments also were I'm thinking..."wait a minute...she's going to be how big? and come out of were?!?!?" My cousin just had a baby on Friday and she broke her talebone while pushing!!! She couldnt feel it at all because she had an epidural but they said you could here it crack! OUCH!!!

I dont mean to freak you out or nothing. They said its not common but not unheard of. Weird huh? So many hurtful things can happen for one little person to come into the world huh?!?!! Thank god everyone says its all worth it!

good to hear from you - i am muddling along. what about you? i hope things are really good for you. i am going to call my dr tomorrow and see if he will give me a fibronectin test as i think i am leaking amniotic fluid. but if i am then it's baby time.! i am more than ready to have my own body back..

Yeah floating in a pool being "weightless" sounds nice right now! Nicks mom has one-so maybe this summer it will come in handy before the baby comes and im sweating to death! :)

Hey-The weather was alright here. Nice one minute and raining the next. So it was a mixture.

I agree 100%!! I am officially uncomfortable as well! Every morning I wake up and my pubic bones hurt so bad I limp around for the first hour or so and then it gets a little better. I also have a brushed rib from somthing...probably baby kickin away! :) Its kind of funny but man it hurts so bad!! I have pressure also. I sleep alright. Not great. Its more the half awake half asleep kind. Which to me is better then being wide awake ALL NIGHT! So I will take it! :) lol
Yeah I did finally get a car ('05 grand am) Nothing too fancy just a nice reliable car for me and baby. I'm really happy with it though.

Yeah it would be awesome. I told my brother probably next year around this time because it will be free for her to fly with me and she'll be old enough to crawl around but not walking yet so I can still catch up with her reasonably fast! :) lol I thought it would be neat to take her to the ocean and stuff. And it would be so fun to meet you and see your little one. So maybe we can start planning later on.

Yeah that is the first thing I want when I can is one of those margaritas! :)

Well I have to get going to a doctors appointment soon. Have a great weekend!!! I will talk to you Tuesday probably! :)
