My husband and I are so excited to be expecting our first baby in April. Since this is my first at 37 years old, it seems like forever I have been wanting a child and the time seemed good so we went for it. I work part time right now as a legal secretary which is good cause this little one has zapped my energy and could not imagine working full time. After baby is born I plan on being a stay at home mom and watching one or two other children in my home. Can't wait. Corporate world -see ya. Then is when the fun begins....

So far they are 75% sure we are having a boy. Yeah!!! However doc said do not throw out anything pink just yet. Another U/S scheduled for January '08 and we will find out then for sure hopefully. Want to get started on the nursery.

1/9/08.....The big day.....we got confirmation "ITS A BOY!!!!"

His name will be Peter Joseph.

Our baby is here!!!!!

We love him dear!!!!!!

Hi there.. I cant inmagine that anything that anyone says can really make you feel better right now.. but I just want you to know that I read your post and was amazed at how strong you are.. you talked about how strong your mom was and we can all really see that she passed that trait onto you. You seem like you had a really special close relationship with her and just know that she will be there with you watching while you give birth to your little baby.. and you're right, moms have to be the strongest of all for their babies.. I cant imagine what you're going through right now, but if you ever need to talk or 'vent' just drop a line... I'm so very sorry for your loss, you and your family are in my prayers.. God Bless.

Just wanted to give you some words of encouragement. We lost my father in law about six weeks ago VERY suddenly. We had no idea that he might not meet our new little baby. It's a very hard emotion to deal with and I wish you the very best. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Stay strong and have faith - you are never dealt more than you can handle, even though things seem very sad sometimes.

I was starting to get annoyed with all the comments...I mean, mid-wives are great and all, but the bottom line is that hundreds of years ago, when people had a lot of mid-wives, infant and mommy mortality was so much higher...haven't we evolved???

DOn't be afraid. God had bought you this far - he won't let you down now! YOu will do fine, just breathe, and just think, in a few days, you will see your SON! God Bless!

thanks for the comment!! that would have been better for everyone i am sure!! i just really thought that our families should come together before we got to the hospital--johnny and i have been together for 5yrs and i really wanted this to be the perfect time to join together but i guess i was wrong. owell we will see how it goes!! everyone just gets sooo jealous when there is a baby involved--competition!! wait--adults acting like children--wish me luck tomorrow!!

yes your hemmoroid will get worse after labor. you will not feel it happening during labor but you will afterwards. you'll probably have a few more added to that one! for me the hemmoroids were worse than the episiotomy. I would pack some tucks pads and some numbing cream in your bag to take to the hospital.

Titti - Wednesday, 12 Mar
I wish you the best of luck! I also hope to deliver my baby around that date!

Titti - Wednesday, 12 Mar
Hemorroids are not fun! I have internal hemorroids very painful and they also bleed! I expect for them to get way worse during/after delivery... Just curious: why are you getting induced before your due date?
