For my husband's birthday in June 2008, I gave him the birth control packs I had left with a note to throw them away! He was thrilled, as he has been waiting for me to be ready to start a family for a few years.

Our journey to parenthood began in July 2008. I had one regular cycle and then we got our first BFP! I miscarried in October 2008. We grieved and moved forward and got our second BFP in April 2009, this pregnancy also resulted in a miscarriage.

So here we are, almost a year later and still trying. I am optimistic that I will be a Mommy and love the support and positivity of my wonderful I-am-pregnant friends. It's so nice to have the support of others who cannot wait to pee-on-a-stick and face the same rollercoasters of emotions that this journey towards motherhood presents all of us with.

UPDATE: GOT A BFP ON JULY 21, 2009. Looking forward to meeting my baby in early April.
