Hello everyone,

I am new to the site thanks to a friend whom introduce me to it and i am very excited to be a part of! Hopefully i'll get to meet other mommys and make new friends as well.

A little about myself, my name is Karina. Im 24 yrs old. I have a 5 yrs old girl. My pride and joy. Im from Kansas but moved to Bossier City, Louisiana the day after i got married. I've been with the man of my life for three years, married for 8 months almost a year 12/27/07 yeahh!! I am a stay-at-home mommy and a military wife, hubby is in the Air Force. We met in 2005 through the internet. Yeah i know some people call it lame tryin to talk/date online but it worked for me so its not bad after all since i end up marrying a wonderful man.

I thank God each and everyday for puttin him on my way, hes a good husband to me and a good step-father to my first born. I've always said a man that takes a single mother and rises someone else's kid its a man worth keeping. I couldnt ask for more...

It has been an okay year so far, being away from my family (specially my nephews) is kinda tough but im gettin used to the idea of not having them around. Also being pregnant hasnt been easy specially when u have the idea of not having kids anymore, but i am happy and most of all i am greatful and thankful to be carrying a baby by the man i love so much...

August 28th, 08

I went to the doctor this morning for a GBS Test (Group B Strep) and for another ultrasound to find out how much the baby weight. He is 6 lbs and 14 oz the doctor says he can still gain another pound within the next 14 days i have left. He is a healthy baby...Glad to know that!!! Thank God!!

Everythin went well, which is good except that he told me i might be a few days farther on my pregnancy, than he thought so im thinkin im 38 1/2 weeks or probably 39. Damn everytime i get an ultrasound somethin changes. My first due date was suppose to be September 27th, i had an ultrasound and it changed to September 11th (way down the line, i know!) I had another ultrasound today and now the baby might be here a little earlier.

The funny thing is that my contractions are back again, ever since i left the doctor's office im feeling worse. Im having contraction after contraction maybe thats a sign that my little prince will be here sooner than i thought. Well, wish me luck ya'll.

September 4th, 08

Alright, i went to the doctor today for another check up. I was kinda disappointed because my doctor told me i was nowhere near dilating i thought i would stay in the hospital this time since last week he told me we were goin to schedule my delivery day. On top of that the contractions have been worse lately so i'd figured i would stay in, but nope, im still at home rollin on my bed because the contractions keep kickin in more often.

It seems like he (the baby) is teasin me because the pain is so intense i feel like im about to have him but everytime i tell my doctor that, he says im doin fine. And its normal to have contractions a few weeks before the due date. So, i gotta go back for another appointment next week on the 10th and see if im dilatin at all. Oh, God! im just so tired of waitin i feel like this month have been the longest for me! I hope i aint gotta go another week with pain cause that isnt fun at all.

September 5th, 08

Oh, my God! this past two weeks have been the worse weeks ever. My little girl was sick for a few days we end up takin her to the hospital because her asthma was actin up. She was ok for a few days when i end up gettin sick also. I was alright for two days when i started having contractions.

I've been to the hospital twice but they keep sendin me home because i am not dilating at all. They gave me some medicine for the pain and to try to open up my cervix some more. Whatever they gave me they made sure it was strong enough cause it sure knocked me out completely.

Its either my allergies, fever, coughin, runny noise, or my contractions messing with me but one way or another i can not have a normal day without pain. Im tired i just want to get this over with. But it seems like this little one isnt ready to come out, so i hope that next time i end up in the hospital is to have this baby.

September 10th, 08

Guess what ya'll? I went to my doctor's appointment today and as usual they told me i wasnt dilatin at all. I havent had any pain since i left the hospital last Friday so everything seems alright.

Not quiet tho, three weeks ago when i had my last ultrasound my doctor told me i was a few days farther, so im thinkin its only a few days, right? Wrong! He didnt tell me that my due date had change. Until today one of the nurses told me i was 38 weeks and that my due date was the 21st.

I was so mad because first they tell me im farther a few days and they dont bother to tell me my date changed from the 11th to the 21st. Im thinking i will be 40 weeks tomorrow but no. According to her im 38 weeks, which its ok but what bothers me is that they didnt tell me any of this until today.

Im worry sick thinkin that im over due or somethin is wrong cause im a day left from being 10 months pregnant!! Thats crazy! So, going from being a few days over due to now being two weeks behind its a big difference.

Well, my hubby and i talked to the doctor about getting induce next week. He said its safe to have the baby even if its not close to my due date (which it keeps changing everytime i see him) or we can wait until the 21st. At first thats what i wanted to do get induced cause im thinkin im too far along but then they tell me im 38 weeks and not 40. It makes me just wanna wait till the baby comes out natural.

Im just tired of all the pain and the waiting so my hubby and i decided to get induce next week. Im a little concern, even tho the doctor told us its safe to schedule it. I'd prefer if it just happens naturally, u know gettin contractions, water broke, dilatin, and all that. I dont really like the idea of provoquing it but since its safe we are doing it.

So, my last appointment is Monday (which, i dont see the reason why he wants to see me in the morning if we already schedule to be in the hospital Monday night to get me ready and deliver the little one on Tuesday. Now he wants me to rest and relax for the rest of the week. That will be hard to do but i gotta follow doctor's order. So, here i am off to the hospital Monday night, ladies wish me luck!!!!!
