Thanks for your response to my comment! Did your doctor happen to mention whether or not it's safe to take some sort of gas relief medication? Like gas-x or beano?

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

I saw your note in 19 weeks... Don't worry so much about the movements. I am 20 weeks today and I haven't felt definite movement either. I went for my second trimester screening today and saw the baby dancing up a storm! I saw him turning and twisting and I couldn't feel a thing. So thing positive thoughts, I'm sure your baby is healthy!

dont stress hunny! some women dont feel anything until 21-22 weeks! but the kicks certainly do put your mind to rest. i was getting worried when i hadnt felt anything at nearly 19 weeks but he popped up and said hello when i least expected it. just stay calm and happy and send positive vibes to baby and s/he will be kicking you in the guts in no time :)

I just read ur post and I an bigger than u and I have felt movements the thing is my baby is sometimey sometimes I feel him and sometimes I don't. We're all diffrent and some feel it eatlier than others. I went to the hospital the other day and the doctor asked me if I felt him move and when I said yes she said "wow at 19 weeks ur still very early and lucky that u feel anything @ all.." I didn't get it the thing says from 16 thr 24 weeks is when we should and why the hell did she say I was early...well screw her lol and plus she checked to see if I was closed and I felt as if she was gonna push her fingers up so far they came out my mouth..hurt real bad..lol well hope that makes u a little bit @ ease

I read your comment and I just want to let you know I still haven't felt any strong movement either, just fluttering, and I do not consider myself very big, although I am getting quite round around the midsection (so that could be part of it? and tomorrow I am supposed to be 20 weeks. I was freaking out too, but I've tried to calm myself down by reading about it and just telling myself everything is fine. Tomorrow we have another scan of the baby so I am praying all my fears will be put to rest. Don't worry- we can celebrate together on Tuesday when you see your little one wiggling around too! We have to try our best to be positive, right? :)

I just read your post, and you have nothing to worry about. I am a little on the big side as well.. this is my third pregnancy.. It normaly about 20- 22 weeks that i have really notived movements.. i will get flutters sometimes but nothing like some of the other ladies are talking about.. Sometimes i think they are just hoping it is the baby moving but gas or something else.. I would not worry about it to much..

erica93 - Monday, 22 September
I read your post-I have a four month old now and am on the Baby pages, but I wanted to reassure you about the movement. I didn't feel anything until about 21 wks. I am "fluffy" around the midsection and it felt like everyone felt movement before me. I am sure everything is just fine!

Oh I hope that everything goes great with this pregnancy for you too! I lost my last baby at 20 weeks, and it was the hardest thing ever and even though we had a different situation, not a day goes by that it doesn't hurt and I don't feel guilty for something that I "might or might not" have done to effect the death. But, now we are preggers again and just trying to stay positive and focused on the present and the future...I am sure you will have a great experience and a wonderful baby this time around!
