I've been somewhat of a nomad these past 5 years. Moved to Qld, Australia for 6 months to do some relief work with YWAM. Spent a month in Bali, Indonesia doing the same. Moved to Bellingham, Washington basically to be random and to take time to snowboard the mountains of BC, Canada. Moved back to South Dakota and got antsy again. Became a flight attendant... then decided all the go go go for work was too much. Finally was ready to settle down. Met, got engaged and married my amazing husband all in 4 months! I'm crazy in love with him... even more so than the day we met. The Lord has blessed us beyond belief and now we're looking forward to this new adventure. Our little munchkin Cian was born in October of 2007. He's chubby and hilarious and perfect. We're so happy and thankful to be blessed with such a precious gift! He was born October 11th at 10:36pm. 6lbs 14oz and 20.5 inches long.

Hey! Thanks for your note and prayers. I really am starting to feel better. I puked yesterday, but I felt a lot better after. I saw my OB today and she gave me some meds, so hopefully that will help too. (if I need them)
So glad Cian is doing so well during this sick time of year. It is great that you can still nurse him; that has to help.
I stopped nursing Ainsley in August (she was 10 months) because we had the opportunity to go on a cruise, and I didn't want to have to pump and dump. However, she has had nonstop sinus infections for the past two months and today I took her to the doc for an ear infection! She has a great attitude, but it stinks. With three kids it seems like someone is always under the weather.
Did Cory's parents get dumped on yesterday? We got a ton of snow (ok, maybe only 4 inches, but it all came very quickly.) I saw Midland was part of the snow advisery.
Have a great Thanksgiving at your parents! Just think next year you will have two little ones to chase after.

Thanks Shannon! I do feel better today. I don't know if a better attitude causes me to feel better or if the lack of nausea gives me a better attitude . . . anyway, I do feel good today.
What are your plans for Thanksgiving? Do you have family around you close by? Your husband is from MI, right?
We were suppose to have dinner here with my family, but my parents had the opportunity to go to Florida early, so they are gone. I actually feel great about that because I don't know if my nausea would allow me to cook a turkey. (or anything else for that matter) So, we are going down by Detroit to Jeremy's parents for the weekend.
Hope all is well with you! How is Cian doing with this cold/flu season? Are you able to still nurse him?

Hey Shazza! How are you doing? I am starting to feel sick and just needed to vent to you . . . I hope you don't mind. I am trying to be positive to my husband and not appear too sick to the other kids, but if I could I would curl up in my bed and come out in nine months. . . I know, bad attitude! I just feel like I need to cry . . . oh, hear it comes! Thanks for being my virual friend. :)
Oh hey, I also wanted to just say that I agree with you on the crazy number of vaccines for kids. I think we are going to hold off on many of them this time around. Like Hep B at one hour old? Why would you do that? So, thanks again for your thoughts on the subject.
Ok, I think I have myself back together to face the rest of my family.

I am glad we are having them close together as well even tho it wasnt planned because I was raised as an only child and I often found myself pretty lonely :P I am glad Riley will soon have a playmate :D

Just thought I would check in and see how things are going? I read your blog about vaccines and I think you are very informed and that's great. Two men in my small group from our church are in the medical community one is our peditrictian and the other is a PA and they are both very pro vaccines. (Our ped. is from Swazzy Land Africa so he's seen some of these crazy diseases like hep A first hand).
With your family history it sounds best to do what you are doing with Cian. Good luck with those decisions . . . man being a parent is hard!

Keep seeking God, He made Cian and will tell you exactly what to do with him. How is everything else going? How is the weather there? Just a few flakes in the air here in Michigan. Talk to you soon!

So far I feel great . . .like maybe I should take a third test. :) #4 wasn't a total surprise . . . it was always in the back of our heads that it might happen and sure enough! The boys are great. Grant turns 5 on Wednesday . .. crazy! Aiden had pneumonia a month ago and was in the hosptial for seven days, but he is doing better. Ainsley is our princess. She is adoreable and so fun. She isn't walking yet, but cruises around on everything.
How about Cian? Is he walking yet? How are you feeling this time around? It is different than the first time? Hope all is going well.

Thanks! It's about time that I update my photos! It's been such a fun summer. The family picture is from the Field of Dreams! That's the site where the Kevin Costner movie was filmed. Halloween was great!! We went with some friends that live in our neighborhood, they have a 2yr old (she is due in Mar. also). They kids had a great time running to the doors together! They were saying trick-or-treat before the door was open! We have WAY TOO much candy now! The weather was perfect here, we didn't have to wear coats. It was more fun that way, so the kids could show off their costumes!

How has the weather been for you? I know for a time there it was cold, did you get snow? We had snow last Sunday, it didn't stick, but it came down all day. Pretty heavy at times, I was scared that our nice days were over.

I hope you get the headaches figured out, that must be miserable at times. So glad to hear that Teagan is growing and kicking! That's wonderful! I love the name Teagan. I don't know anyone by that name, I like a unique name. Have a great day, talk to you soon.

Hi there! Ya, we're doing great! Work has been busy, we're planning for getting our new roaster. They make it to order 6-8wks (they don't just have them sitting around), so hopefully end of next week we'll be getting it. That will be an interesting transition!

Kids are great, Bryce is outgrowing so many clothes, I can't keep up with him! We're looking forward to Friday night. Aliya has been wearing her puppy costume a lot, practicing!! So cute. Bryce could care less about his! I think he is weining himself from the bottle. The last couple weeks, he doesn't really finish them, he throws them down and wants a nice plate of food in front of him instead! So, I think at his birthday, I'm just going to put them away. He takes whole milk just fine! How's Cian doing with the milk thing?

I've been occupying my free time with planning a surprise 50th birthday party for my mom! We've never done a big bash for her, she deserves it! It's been fun looking up some of her old friends. I hope everyone can come! It'll be fun! I'm working on the invitations now, and then I'll have to figure out how much food we need. About 100 people!!!

That sounds good, I'm glad you had a great family visit.

Aliya is doing great, I'm crossing my fingers about staying healthy now. This time of year there's always something going around. She's enjoying her halloween costume, she's going to be a puppy....can't keep it off her! This Thursday night our town does a "Spook Walk." It's organized by the local businesses, you walk along a designated path, and they've set up spooky things along the way (with candy). Like an outdoor spook house for younger kids. So, we'll see if Aliya likes it, we haven't done it before. Bryce will be a dinosaur. So far, he's not real interested in the whole thing! It's cute.

Glad to hear about your hubby's job. Hope that works out well for you guys. You will be busy, but all for a good cause! I've become friends with a gal that just moved to our town. She's due with her second baby in the first part of March also! Take care!
