Hi - I'm Shea. My husband, Paul and I agreed to be married for 4 years (have some time to ourselves) before ttc. October 9, 2008 was the four year mark - so I stopped bc - and we found out on Feb. 22nd that I am pregnant with our first child together.

I am already a step-mother of a beautiful 14 year old daughter - (which I know is quite the age gap)...and she's very happy about our newest addition. I love being a step-mom, but I'm also really looking forward to being called "mama".

Hi ladies! Well Rhys is one month as of yesterday. He is starting to coo a bit more and is entertained if you show a rattle or some him something bright. He is not the easiest baby though. I dunno if its gas or what but he gets really fussy in the early morning hours and is def not any where close to sleeping through the night. Does any one have any advice on this?He sleeps in the bassinet next to our bed, but around 2 :30 am he just starts grunting and squirming. It's hard for mommy to sleep( daddy of course sleeps right through). He also spits up alot. He is breastfed, is this normal? Anyone else having these issues? I hope all your babies are health and happy and that your getting more rest than I am!!!

i cant believe Hailey is already 2 months old (on nov 10th) We went to the drs on the 16 and she weighs 8 lbs 15 oz...still a little peanut but growing good! We have had to switch formulas to Enfamil AR because she was spitting up A LOT and sometimes throwing it all up but this seems to be working but now her poo seems to be harder to get out and maybe her tummy hurts....not sure...but this formula is a lot thicker so i dont know shes only been on it about a week so we will see how it goes. Hope everyones doing great

Hello ladies! Jordan had his 1st doctor's appointment today and he is doing so well! He's growing. He was 6 lbs 7 oz at birth and today is 8 lbs 5 oz, and he grew 3/4". Everything is great with him, I'm such a proud mommy!!
I'm doing very well, too. I've kinda stopped bleeding but not quite. Now I'm just nervous it's all going to hit like last week and I'm going to have all the menstrual symptoms that suck. But I guess I have no choice but to wait and see. I've started to work out again, but very slowly. Only 30 minutes of cardio, max, and very light weights. I can't wait to get back into it full on.
I can honestly say I do not miss being pregnant at all! I know a lot of women miss being pregnant but not me! I can sleep on my stomach, and roll over at night without having to hold my stomach, and I don't pee every hour!! I love it! Plus I love having my little boy in my arms rather than my tumtum. AND no heartburn, yay!! That was a silent killer!
Anyway, I hope all you new mommies and your little ones are doing excellent. And all you mommies who are still pregnant, keep healthy!

Hi ladies i posted pics of my little man

expecting-2b-patient - Sunday, 15 November
DJ is 3 weeks old and he will not sleep in his co-sleeper/bassinett. It pulls right up and is flush with the bed, so I can touch him for comfort. But the only way to get him to sleep through the night (w/2-4 feedings a night) is for him to sleep on my chest. I have tried letting him fuss it out a bit, but he ends up fully crying. I have tried putting a heating pad in there (the pediatrician recommended that one) and even put a clicking clock on the side for him to hear it. I DO NOT want to sleep with my baby, but it's the only way I can get a few hours of sleep. Even then thought I am not fully sleeping. Does anyone have any suggestions? THANK-YOU!!

expecting-2b-patient - Tuesday, 10 November
Yea, hello Shea! I thought maybe I'd never speak to you again- I thought maybe you didn't have internet at home and you only got on-line at work. So good to hear from you and finally see Eli, he's beautiful! What a great birth story too! Your sister is wonderful, I can't believe she left her wedding to come see you! But if I had a sister I'd of done the same! Boy, do you think your dates were off. For Eli to come at 37 weeks and weigh over 7lbs?? WOW!! Good for you hunny though, you did it!!

graciesmomma - Thursday, 5 November
Hello all! Thank you to everyone for your well-wishes before my induction. Dylan Heath is healthy and very big! The birth story will be up soon, but we ended up having to do a c-section due to the "little" guy's size. There is one pic of him up, but I'll add more later. Take care!

habibi7689 - Tuesday, 3 November

Sorry if you've read this in the 0 months section but I just found out my sister has the H1N1 virus and I'm kind of freaking out. She came to see the baby when she was born but had no symptoms at the time and my nephew was just here for a couple days but has no symptoms as of yet. Should I call the doctors tomorrow when his office opens or will that be me acting like a paranoid freak? I just don't know if the virus is contagious in its incubation state. Anyone have any info on that? Thank goodness for bf...at the very least she has my antibodies to protect her but to what extent? My sister is the 3rd person we've been in contact with who has contracted the virus...this is getting too scary.

expecting-2b-patient - Tuesday, 3 November
Does anyone have any experience with Mirena, the iud? I've been thinking about going that route for birth control because I don't want to go back on the pill...
