Thursday, 26 Jul congrats, he's gorgeous. I'm surprised they didn't let you stay. That had to be hard. It won't be long. My daughter had to stay for jaundice and it was only for a day or 2. Fortunately i was able to stay with her, my mom was with us to stay with my son while my hubby worked. trusting -

Wednesday, 25 Jul Sheila- WHAT A CUTIE! CONGRATS! And he's nice and big too! I love his name. My mom grew up with lots of Roccos in her hometown and I have an Uncle Dominick myself. I almost choose the name Dominic for my boy instead of Donovan. Congrats to you!!! I wish it was me, but so far no such luck! Take care!!!! keeley -

Monday, 23 Jul Hi Sheila,
I get stress test done every week because I have pregnancy induced hypertension. In Australia what they do is place 2 bands with circle monitors on your belly. The top band monitors contraction of the uterus and the bottom band monitors the baby's heartbeat. They will also give you a little hand held buzzer to press when you feel a movement. it doesn't hurt the baby at all, and all you have to do is sit or lay there. greeneyedpsycho -
Monday, 23 Jul You must be getting so anxious, I know I am. I still have a lil bit to go though. People always think just cuz u have kid's u don't get worried or everything is the same but it's not. So I agree to what u said in your comment on your page. You just never know. Well good luck and congrats!! TiffanyL -
Monday, 23 Jul They do the Stress test on me as well, its because of the swelling and the high blood pressure that I have. I have severe preeclamsia tho. Maybe they are worried you are getting preeclamptic due to the swelling? Any how, theres nothing to that test~! KellyG -
Sunday, 22 Jul Hey,
I have non-stress (also called stress tests) once a week and have for a long time. I am high risk though so they really want to monitor. A non-stress test is where they hook you up to a monitor- you have two circular things strapped to your belly. The bottom one reads the babies heart rate. The machine will tell you the number and it will print out on paper. Everytime you feel your baby move you will press a little button in and it will show on the paper that prints out. I hope that's not too overly specific for you. I have always had good movement with my boy, but I just have a two vessel umbilical cord. I guess bc you are getting so close they just want to make sure everything looks good and he is ready to go. Good luck! May want to bring a magazine. They keep me on the monitor for a half hour.
