Hi! My name is Michelle. I have a wonderful husband, Danny. I am a full time Mommy to my step-daughter, Brianna (7) and our beautiful son, Jacob (30 months) I found out I was pregnant on 6/9/07 We weren't actually planning a pregnancy that exact month but knew we wanted to keep our children close in age. I was waiting for my period and actually got really bad cramps for 3 days, it was dragging on but never came!!! I finally gave in after being 5 days late and took a test. My sister, bestfriend, and 2 neices joined me in the bathroom! haha :o) We were going to surprise the husbands out in the living room and joke, I'm pregnant, but I really was!!!!!! :o) haha so I think I ran out of the bathroom with my pants to my knees looking for the box. My husband bought the one with the + and I had to make sure!! haha SO here I am pregnant with my 2nd. It's wonderful and everything has been really going smoothly. I have a wonderful doctor and am considered a high-risk pregnancy due to HELLP syndrome with my first pregnancy. I actually almost lost my life and I am so grateful I am here to raise my son. I thank the Lord every day. Jacob was 4lbs and I was considered full term! Went into labor at 36 weeks 6 days. I'm praying that this time around I just have a healthy normal pregnancy and so far this pregnancy is SO different. No morning sickness, I have an appetite, it's great!!!

... BORN IN JANUARY!!!

Baby at 7 weeks 3 Days I saw their little heartbeat beating away, it was amazing!

hello everyone, sorry i cannot reply individually, i dont have internet still! :( I am at my new job which i have to sneak on fast, but quick update...Matthew passed his hearing, which I may have already said but then there was a question about retinitis, well yesterday we went to the best retinitis and he said there is absolutely no sign of retinitis there is signs that because he was premature that his eyes were not fully mature however thankfully scar tissue happened and more or less its only in the part of the eye that cannot see anyways...we are soooooo lucky because if he didnt have scar tissue then he would have went blind....I am so amazed at how God is still blessing me....love to you all

well we had a lil scare, ugh, the next how many years will be like this I guess, Matthew had his hearing and vision done at childrens, he passed his hearing!! The eye docs said they seen signs of retinitis (which means he will eventually go blind) they ended up having a retinal specialist come to see him and he said he seen NO signs, ooh my gosh...now we have to go back this coming up friday to see his senior to verify whether or not he does or doesnt have signs of retinitis..ooh my, please pray for my lil man!! On the up side, my guy is starting to coo and smile at his mommy, ooh i looove it!! he sits next to me and will look into my eyes and smile and talk to me, ooh it melts my heart!!

Thanks so much for your comment. It always makes me feel better to have someone who can relate. My baby, Sebastian, was born at 37 weeks and was the same weight as your baby. I have two older children girls aged 10 and 13. Both pregnancies were uncomplicated and they were both 6lbs, 14oz at birth...but nothing prepared me to be ready for such a small baby. Never was it mentioned that my baby was small for his size. Now they tell me that his size was all related to my BP...I can't help but to feel like I would have liked to have known, to preparemyself mentally (if that makes any sense). I think that of all the things I went through with the HELLP, the Mag infusion, and the sudden unexpected delivery of my baby, all I continue to concern myself with is his size. My baby, like yours, is actually very healthy...no jaundice..no problems breathing...but at times I look at him so small and frail and wish I could do something....Thank you for your story. I'm sure that this too will pass and one day I will forget how tiny he is right now...
P.S. That Mag is the devil!!! You are correct in your description. I have pictures of myself during and after the delviery that I con't even recall taking. My eyes burned, my head hurt, I was vomiting all day long. It felt like I was looking at the world through a dirty window or a dark shade...uggg what a nightmare...
