I am 24 and I live in the UK with my husband Tony. We have been married for nearly 4 years. For the last 5 years we have been trying for a baby. In the last few years I have been pregnant 9 times but had one ectopic and 8 m/c. It has been difficult but the love, strenghth and support we have has got us through.
I am Anti-Nuclear Antibody Positive (ANA). There is an association between ANA and recurrent pregnancy loss. My consultant has reccomended that I take 75mg Asprin on the confirmation of a positive pregnancy test then once a scan has confirmed viability I will have regular Tinzapraine injections throughout pregnancy.
The Latest!!!
I was due on my period on Sat 12th July but had no period pains, I did a pregnancy tests x 4 and they were all positive. We were not trying yet but I suppose thats the best time. We were going to go on our holiday in August first. I went straight out and bought some Asprin as recomended by the consultant. I am really scared because if the treatment does not work then there is no more hope for us, so fingers crossed. I telephoned the consultants PA to inform him and get an appointment. We go to see him and for a scan on the 29th July. Usually we go slighlty earlier but they have said they need to see a heartbeat before they can give me the injections. The appointment seems so long away and I am sure it will drag. I am really scared but will take one day at a time and hope that this time it is meant to be.

The main thing is that I am going to be a Mum!! I can't believe it has finally happened and that we have heard the heartbeat and seen our little one moving around looking healthy! x

Hi babe, sorry I have been offline for quite a while. Life is so busy at the mo! Sounds like I have a life, its mainly filled with work! Steve got on BRILLIANTLY!! I am so proud of him my chest is going to burst! He made the 30 miles in 11 hours and 45 mins. He really struggled at the 25 mile mark, he said to keep himself going he pictured me waiting at the end with our baby in my arms. How lovely is that? He wanted me to send you a special thank you for your support, we both really appreciate it x How are you? Rx

I see the specialist tomorrow but I already know that my blood tests and the scan were perfectly normal so I don't know if they'll do anything else to investigate. I'll see what happens tomorrow and let you know xx

what cycle day did you get your BFP? I'm only on CD24 in a 30 day cycle so I'm still 6 days early. I got a BFP around CD27/28 last time so hopefully in 3 or 4 days I'll know either way. xx

hi shellyl, I have trouble sometimes with my doppler as well. I just usually keep it steady for a good while and then move slowly always trying to angle downward into my pelvis. After 3 mins sometimes I pick it up. If not I drink some water and wait about 30 mins before trying again. Hope that helps.

i think this is normal,since my surgery i have totally been the same way,and my hubby is getting the worst end of the stick,everything has been pissing me off,i wish i could take a long trip by myself somewhere anywhere,i find
myself crying alot lately at night.....sometimes i wish everything was back to normal....maybe not being able to work,not being able to do alot of things that i was use to
got be down and depressed....i just dont no what to do with myself......
if i could turn back the hands of time,i really dont think i would have had the surgery

yea i was overweight too, i started showing slightly around 18-20 weeks, it used to get me down, but i couldn't change it, it was so funny because i was massive with my first but this one i havn't gone very big, trust me in a couple of months you will be saying i dont think i can get any bigger, but i can understand your thoughts as its took you so long to get to where you are, i hope you get the big fat belly you want,lol. im excited and very nervous at the same time, i go to see my consultant tomorrow, so i will update you then. xx

that is good that you are a normal pg now, but November is ages away!! I dont think I would have the Downs test either, I guess people have their own preference on that. I would be too scared it would make the baby miscarry. I am pretty good, thank you. AF is now gone, just looking forward to some frantic Bding in a week time
I am not going to obsessed about it though, I am just going to hope my luck of BFP in the first month will keep going, but my luck with the m/cs will change for the better. I am going to call up for my blood results next week in the hope they have come back a little bit early - you never know. They did say they would call me as and when they came back if anything was wrong, so I suppose no news is good news. Hows the mood swings going? hehe RainbowRach - Wednesday, 17 September

I don't know when my next scan is but I do go to the Dr. on the 6th for the 16 week check up. Only 1 day left in this week for me Thank God! Our family and my boss knows about the baby but they too have been told to keep it quiet. I feel like I could start to let friends and people at work know now too. I've gone so long not telling anyone I don't even know how to go about announcing it. Part of me just thinks I really don't need to. Maybe after hearing the HB at 16 weeks I'll announce it for a day on facebook than let people talk if they want. Sorry for going off. Sometimes it's good to rant when noone else is listening.
