Jacob Roman was born normal delivery on Tuesday September 30th, 2008 at 10:37 p.m. I was actually scheduled to be induced the next day, but thank god it happened on its own the day before! We were super excited about that! Everything went really well, and he came out in 25 minutes of pushing so it wasn't too bad! I stayed the next day in the hospital and came home thursday around noon. The first week was really really rough. He was having a lot of problems eating, i was supplementing, and he was just constantly for hours on end throwing up. I had taken him to the pediatrician twice, and finally they decided to stop everything all together, and start on Nutramigen formula only. Well after 4 days of that, he was still throwing up and not sleeping just as badly, so i called again, and they had me change him to Enfamil A.R. and that has been an absolute blessing. The last 48 hours i have an entirely different baby! the throwing up has almost completely stopped, now he still spits up, but thats perfectlly normal, it was the constant vomiting that concerned me. He's been having 3-4 stool movements a day, which for the first 5 days we were home he didn't have any because obviously nothing in his poor little stomach would stay down! So now my little man is 9 days old, and i just love him with all my heart! Hope everyone is doing super!

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

I know that the risk of carpal tunnel syndrome is upped in pregnancy. I had a friend who had it really bad with her daughter. It's definitely something that you should discuss with your doctor. In the mean time, try therma-care hand wraps. They're made for arthritis I think, but it's a great way to get heat to the problem area. I used them for my back after a car accident and they are life savers. good luck

Thanks!! I'm so excited..I won't say that I always wanted twins or triplets but I did want 3 kids. So I guess in more ways than one I'm getting what I wanted. How is your pregnancy going? I'm getting a 3D tomorrow I can't wait.

Im having a large shower my mom knows how to cook for large groups so she will be making most of the food. Having it catered will take alot of pressure off of the person who is throwing it. So thats not a bad option at all. I hope you have loads of fun at yours.

Hi, I have the bad backaches too...what I find to be a relief for it is I put a heating pad on the spots that hurt and when I drive I heat the pad up and put it back there so that I'm killing my back while driving. Also, try to stand straight and lift your arms over your head and then come with your arms to a stretch where your butt is out and your back is flat when your arm are extended... I hope this helps you out.....Good luck..

I get awful backaches and they're getting worse as baby's "bump" gets bigger! I'm pretty sure it's a posture thing - you curve your spine to support the load, and especially when standing or walking for long periods of time, it really puts a lot of strain on your back that it's not accustomed to. I find the best thing to relieve it is the "cat stretches" - get on your hands and knees and very slowly arch your back as high as you can, then straighten it, then lower it to a deeper curve, then slowly arch again, until the pain eases. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the thoughts on the baseball shower. Hope you're feeling great!

Everything that you are describing happened to me last month. I went through the pain for 2 days and then finally went into the ER. Turned out for me that I had a kidney stone. The only pain reliever for me was the pain medication that the doctors perscribed me. If your pain doesn't go away I would either go back to the hospital or call your doctor.

I know, I love it when people started to comment on the fact that I was pregnant. i also did not want people to think that I was fat.

you shouldnt use heating pads while pregnant. too much heat in one concentrated area is bad for baby.
