Hello all and welcome to my page!

I have been here for awhile now.. and as most of you mommy's know that were are expecting again!

I have 3 girls now Myranda 8, Kailah 6, and my baby girl who is 1. Brianna was born on Sept 17th 2007. and we just found out not to long ago that we are expecting baby #4 on April 22,2009! we are hoping for a boy this time but will take a girl lol just as long as he/she is heathly. This past year Brianna has had surgery she was born with a tethered spinal cord. and is doing very well. I am also a stay at home mom and a stepmom to two boys ages 17 and 15. I have been with my man Dave going on 2 1/2 years and I could not be any happier with him. we get along so great togeither. I don't even think we have ever faught! yay lol can't find that anymore lol. well if you want to know anything else please feel free to message me anytime!

BIRTH STORY......

Well I was a week and 3 days over due so I schdule to be induced on sept 17th,2007 at 8am... on that day we went to the hospitial and got registered in and went up to LD I got my nightgown on and they took blood and all that hooked me up to an IV so I was having contractions on my own about 3-4 mins apart at about 10am they came in and checked me i was still at 3cm so they decided to go ahead and induce me with the gel. Well as soon as they put that in me omg my contraction started so hard! and comming every 2-3 mins apart after laying in bed for an hour and half they decided to let me get the shower I was in thier for about 2 hours it felt so good but it also made my contractions even harder.. so I got out and they checked me about 2pm i was still at 3cm so they then decided they would break my water lol.... well needles to say that did it they made me get the shower again by the time they broke my water i tried to get up to walk to the shower i couldn't lol my poor mom and boyfriend pretty much carried me to the shower lol i couldn't walk at all. and as soon as i got in the shower I felt like I had to push but I stayed in there for a little while longer since i didnt feel like making that trip back to the bed lol... finially around 4pm we i couldn't take it anymore and decided that i really needed to push her out so I got back into bed and they checked me i was at 9cm oh man i wanted to push so bad but they said not ... worse feeling lol.. so about 10 mins later they let me push and my beatifull little girl was born at 4:21pm on sept 17th 2007... weighing at 6pds 11oz and was 21inches long....we are so glad that everything went so well and to top it off NO PAIN MEDS WERE USED again this was my third baby I had without meds and im so happy.. but I did get meds afterwards lol .. so dont ever think you cant give birth with meds cause you can. so this is my story hope you all enjoy it take care.

Oct 18th 2007...

Well my baby girl is a month old today. and she is pretty much slepping during the whole night yea... took her tot he doctors today and she now weighs 8pds 1 oz and is 22 1/2 inches long.. she is such a good baby. im so prod of her. as some of you know my baby girl was born with a dimple on her lower back and well she is doing doing good we go back to childern hospitial on jan2nd to get a second MRI done.. since they think she may have a tethered cord and may need a small surgey to fix it and hopefully it will be done by the time she starts walking..but everything looks good with her.. all her reflexes are great she smile all the time which melts my heart away :) she is my angel from heaven i couldnt be any happier or love her any less. well thats my update for now take care everyone.

my baby roller over for the first time by her self... it was so cute and im so proud of her. the cutes thing ever she waited intill her daddy had stopped video taping her lol.. thats all i have to say right now :)

Nov.19th 2007

Brianna went for 2 month check up today. She now weighs 9lbs 3oz and is 22 1/2 inches long she is getting so big. my doctor told me he expected her to gain 2 lbs in a month? i didnt know that here I thought I might be over feeding her but i guess im not. anyways she is doing great.. has been holding her head up very good and long periods of time. she has been doing this for a few weeks now. and just today she started to coo alot at me. where before she would only talk to my mom lol.. she is such a great baby i could ask for a better baby then her. and her strawberry birth mark seems to be fading some too. she has it on her lower back. which is good. Thanksgiving is 2 days away and i cant wait... then her frist christmas :) she has been staring at the christmas lights we have inside the house lol so cute and she talks to the christmas stocking haning on the wall lol. well this is my update i hope everyone and thier babys are doing well.

I'm so excited my little girl rolled over from her back to her belly tongiht im so happy! she is only 3 months and a 1 week old. she has been rolling from belly to back since about 6 weeks old yeah so excited and got it on video tooHer MRI appontment is comming up real fast in like a few day Im a little nervious.. wish luck on it.. Januay 10th 2008

Biranna started getting up on her knees today... i can't believe it she isn't just quite 4 months yet! she's is growing up to fast for me! she still sleep through the night she goese to bed about 7:30-9pm and sleeps intill about 4:30am everynight! she is also laughing a little more and smiling all the time.. she got some great toys at christmas that she just loves.. well this all I have to say intill next time at 4 month appointment we will see how much she has grown!

January 17th~~ 4 month check up

So we went and everything looked good... she now weighs 11 lbs 12oz and is 24 1/2 inches long! she wasnt very happy about the shots she was cranky for two days man i hope the next set isnt this bad lol.. other then that she is doing so good and so smart.. I love my little bug a boo!

Jan 30th 2008

We started our day at 4am we got and was out of the house by 4:50am headed down to childerns hospital in Washingtion, Dc we got there about 6:45am we were schdule to be there by 7:30am, we went up to the 2nd floor where there do MRI and CT scans. we gave them all our info and we went into the room. the and the doctor came in and gave brianna a hopitial gown it was peach with a teady bear on it,it was cute, then they talk to us about what the were going to ise to put her to sleep, after they explained everything we took her into this room and i held her hand while the doctor put a mask on her and she just drifted off to sleep, i felt so harrible right then, I couldn't stay to watch them put an IV in her so Dave and I left and went to get coffee and a bite to eat we were back 45 mins later and every passing min after that i just worried. she did great with the MRI and it didnt take her long to wake back up which was good, cause i know she was hungry since she couldnt have anything after 5am! after that we had to go down stair and talk to her doctor there and wait for the picture of Brianna's spine come back.. we finially get back to talk to her doctor and she said that she does have a tethered cord and she will need surgry...I'm so freaked right now! we have to go back down next month on the 26th so they can run some test and make sure her bladder is workin the way its sopose to in all.. and after that test we talk to see when she will go for surgry they want to do it around 6 months of age which isn't far away at all..but they did say that she will be able to have a normal life after this surgry.. while after the surgry she will have to stay in the hospitia; 3 day laying flat on her belly! she can't move at all! so needless to say I will be right with her the whole time! finding babysitter now for the two girls. I dont want her to spend one min away from me if I can help it. so that what happend .. so intill next ladies have a good night!

Well today Brianna truned 5 months old, she is just the happiest baby I know, she smile,laughs,rolls all the place lol, she has been getting up on her hands and knees in that crawing mode but nothing just yet, she loves her johnny jump up, and her exer saucer she got. she like to stick her tongue out all the time lol. not to much to update on yet. it just seems like yesterday I had just had her lol. well hope everyone is good! take cares

Well we took Brianna down to childerns hospitial today to do some test on her bladder. they had to put a cathider in her to make sure she was holing and releasing her urine the way she is sopose to ..and it was all good! that part of her is good...so now we have to call down thier next week to set a date for surgery... I think that will be the longest week ever when this comes about..But Brianna did very well today and I'm so proud of my little girl. she also weighs 13lbs.

Some info on a tethered cord

What is a tethered spinal cord?

A tethered spinal cord is a condition where the spinal cord is pulled down and stuck or fixed to the spinal canal. The spinal cord normally floats inside the spinal canal.

As a child grows, the cord must be able to move freely inside the canal. If her spinal cord is stuck down as she grows, it will stretch like a rubber band and symptoms will start developing.

Nerve damage can occur if this problem is not repaired. The surrounding blood vessels are often fixed down, too, so the spinal cord does not get enough blood. This also causes nerve damage.

Symptoms of nerve damage may include:

• Back and leg pain
• Weak and numb legs
• Changes in bladder and/or bowel control.

We diagnose a tethered spinal cord with an MRI scan and by your child’s symptoms.

Who gets a tethered spinal cord?

A tethered cord most often occurs in children who have myelomeningocele or lipomyelomeningocele. Over time, the spinal cord becomes scarred to the original defect and it sticks (tethers).

A child with a tight filum terminale or dermal sinus tract can also have a tethered cord. This is because excess tissue is holding the end of the cord down as she grows.

Well Brianna had her 6 month check up today and she did very well. she weighs in at 13lbs and 5oz and is 24 1/2 inches long. she can now sit up on her own. and she is now CRAWLING!!! so off to baby poorf the house today lol. she is eating her cereal every night and just loves it!

3-29-08

Well we finnialy made Brianna's surgry date which is June 13th. we go down on the 11th to have test done and do the pre op in all of that stuff. she should be in the hositipal for no longer then 3 to 4 days which will be a long weekend. just thought I give an update. Brianna is crawling really good now she is all over the place and she is Noe starting to pull up on things too. man she is just to darn smart!

Well Brianna truned 7 months old on the 17th of this month and she is just growing so fast, she has her own personality, and just so cute! she loves beening outside. and she is starting to be come brave and move from the dinning room table to the couch slowly but she getting it.. she has hada very bad runny nose for the last 4 days I thought it was teeth maybe she was getting some finially lol but nope nothing yet! she has tumble over quite a bit since standing lol, it isn't funny but it is.. you know cause she is tryin so hard to learn these new new and exciting things lol it so cute and i love her to death!. thats pretty much the update not to much going. still standing,crawling,laughing, holding her bottle, saying momma and dadda, nan nan. and another word for bottle can't think of it right now.all in all everything is good here.

well alot has been going on my oldest broke her arm at school on thruday on the Monkey bars ugh... well she got her cast on monday and she has to have that on for 3 1/2 weeks. Brianna surgey is comming up real soon next friday at that! I'm getting nervous and don't know what to expect to we got for the pre op! that is wed. boy school is out today was the last day for my girls! well here is Brianna at Cunningham Fall, Md in my pics cant figure out how to put them on my page lol

6-16-08

Lets just say this has been a long hard weekend. We got up around 3:30 Friday morning and drove to the hospital in DC. getting there around 5:30. After checking in and all that good stuff they took our little girl away at about 7:30....and we waited. They told us her surgery began around 8:30 it was over around 12:30. When our doctor came out and told us everything went great. She was very pleased with how everything was and how well everything went back together. She said it was one of the best "closures" she has ever had. When we finally got to see her she was still knocked out and just laying there. It sucked. She finally woke up and she was in pain, I told the nurse that, and she stuck a bottle in her mouth! ugh I got mad and told her to get my baby some pain meds now! she has tears rolling down her face, she finally got her some meds and she calmed down some. It was hard.. we waited for a room for like an hour and half. Brianna still in pain and trying to move, I told her how sorry I was for putting her through this... I broke down crying, and had to leave. I walked outside. and broke down. We waited in the recovery room until about 4:00 when we all finally got to go to her room. Friday was hard, Brianna was very uncomfortable and in a lot of pain and there was nothing we could do. It was a sleepless night, Dave in a reclining chair and me on a couch. Machines beeping all night, nurses coming in and out, Brianna crying. Lets just say this was the same all 3 nights there.

Saturday wasn't much better, we were tired. Brianna was hurting and didn't want to stay still. They did increase her morphine to help the pain, and Valium to relax the muscles, all which helped. Needing to get away for a bit, Dave and I drove downtown around the Capital Building and we went to the Air and Space Museum. Then went back to our girl. Everyone said she was great and doing great but for us it was hard to see. She wouldn't eat much, but she did have a few dirty diapers and was a little more herself.

Sunday was much better. She was allowed to move around some, had few drugs, and was so much more herself. By the end of the day she had ripped out her catheter, and was pulling on her IVs and monitors that by 2 am they just took them all off her. She just didn't want to be bothered by all that and just wanted to move..all of which she got today..

Today she was allowed to roam free and was all over the room, crawling into the hallway to checkout the nurses and all the activity out there. She was out of jail and loving it. We finally got to leave today around 4 PM and she is so glad to be home and so are we. I know Dave and I both lost it a few times over the weekend and are glad this is over. We do need to go back in about 4 weeks for a checkup and another MRI in about 6 months. She'll probably need an MRI every year for the next few just to make sure no scar tissue or anything re-tethers. Anyway here are some pics of my baby girl, and I will post more in my pics..

August 2nd 2008

Today Brianna took her frist two steps! she is getting so big. I can't believe that next month I will be planning her 1st Brithday! why does time have to fly by so fast? So we have taken her back for follow up appt. at Chiderns Hospitial and everything looks great! she healed up good. so we go back in Jan. for another follow up and then every year after that for 6 years. for an MRI to make sure her spinal cord doesn't retethered. other then that times are hard and I'm looking for a job. I'm planning my soon to be 6 year daughters party for the 30th of this month. but all in all we are doing pretty good. Brianna has twwo teeth now on the bottom. she loves cheese curls, crackers, mashed potatoes, green beans, spaggitte? lol, butter bread, eggs, and lots more. just wanted to update everyone. hope all is doing well!

August 17th 2008

brianna truned 11 months today! and I just found out we are expecting baby #4 and although I'm scared and wasn't expecting this at all lol I'm am grateful to due this all over again. I do believe after Ihave this child I may be getting fixed as I will be 32 years old. I preying for a BOY! now since this is my 4th time having a baby I can say right now this is the first one I have had morning sickness lol and I feel all you ladies I don't like it lol. but I guess it will go away soon :) so other then that I'm calling the doctor and making a appointment to go in. I hope everyone is doing great! oh and Brianna is now walking almost all the time :). She is doing so great!

Sept 3rd

Today is my hubbys brithday and my car desided to break down something we really don't need right now lol..but oh well...well Brianna is doing great she is walking everywheres and climbing on everything!! she doing great still only has the two bottem teeth.. she will be truning a year old on the 17th of this month.. boy where did the time go?? I'm now about 7 weeks prego lol and my poor hubby has taken my morning sickness from me :) so were all still hoping for a boy. thats about all for today hope everyone is doing well take cares!

we had Brianna's frist brithday party today.. she don't trun 1 intill wedensday but with school and family working we had to have it early. allthough we invited about 20 people they all called and couldn't come at the last min.bummer.. but all in all we all had a great time her Aunt and cousin did show up so it wasn't a total waste. she got a pretty good amount of clothes and toys. and she loved her cake!! lol I think she has a wounderful time. and I pleased that it truned out great. we got pics and will post them in my pics album. boy am I tired lol.. I think I could sleep for about a week lol. so here is brianna enjoy the pics everyone.

Sept. 25,2008

Brianna had her 1 year check up today... she is about 17lbs and 28 1/2 inches long.. the doctor was concerned cause she is alittle under weight.. well all my babys have been small I am small the only baby that that is right on track is my oldest lol I guess she took after her dad and the other two took after mommy :) as long as she is heathly that is all that matters to me. anyways I have to take her in to get some blood work done,,that should be fun.. she got her 3 shots today she did not like it AT ALL!! she cryed so bad and I felt so bad for her. but she is doing good she laying down taking her nap.

as for me reality hit me today when i went to drop off her perscription for her dipar rash that we cant seem to go away the pharmacy called to say my precriptions was ready.. I'm nervious as hell! I'm look at these needles and woundering how in the world am I going to be able to stuck myself with these things!! I'm my belly at that.. I know I have to do it but when it you its just scarey knowing that they give you these needles to do yourself that you have no idea what to expect. I have meet other mommies on my other site cafemom that has done this before. and I'm so glad I am not the only one and can go to them for questions ans concerns.. thank goodness for cafemom and thier groups to get helpful tips.. I guess now I'm just waiting on the doctor to call me so I can go in so they can show me how to do these.. so the wait is on.... intill then I hope everyone is doing great!
