Wednesday huh??? WOW! My next app. is on thursday, I definately feel my body getting ready for the big event I have 9 more more days till my due date. I'm hoping he will come then or before! I bet you are geting really excited and nervous! I think I would have a hard time sleeping knowing when it was gonna happen. Anyways try to get rest cuz you are gonna need it! Good luck

Wed. at 5pm!!!!!!! That's exciting! That means maybe he'll be born on Thursday the 15th. I'm having contractions with pain. They're real low and my low back is hurting too.
I'm excited. I just made some pancakes and put a few more things in the hospital bag. When you pack your stuff don't forget an outfit for your son. I just remembered it. I'm having more spotting...... today MIGHT be the day!!!!

I am anxious for you to have Carter! hehe We are doing great!! Still a little soar, but other than that we are good! Yes, I am breastfeeding and it is actually going great now. At first it was a little rocky, she was a pro but it was hard for me b/c my nipples are inverted (go figure) so we had to use a shield and I couldn't figure out how to get it on and off and she would be screaming and I couldn't get it on and then I would finally get it on and she would knock it off because she was swinging her little arms everywhere because she wanted to eat. haha A nightmare! But my nipples have improved so I am not having to use the shield anymore and it is wonderful! I wouldn't have it any other way! It is just such a wonderful bonding time for us and I love it! It DOESN'T hurt if they latch on right!! Everyone told me it did! Anyway, sorry I am rambling! hehe Be sure and let me know when Carter gets here! I am soo excited for you! Not too much longer!! :)

Hello! The doc said I'm 2 cm dilated, 70% effaced, and at a 0 station! Yea! She stripped my membranes (it wasn't as bad this time, I was more relaxed) She said everything looks great. I feel so happy. I have some bright red bleeding right now and a few little cramps. I'm gonna put my feet up and watch some television. My partner just left to go back to work. He came with me to the appointment. He seems kind of nervous. Poor guy. I'm excited and he's freaking out. Normal I'm sure!! What's happening on your end?

I have a dr. app. tomorrow I've been 1 cm dialated for 2 weeks and cervix is still thick. Hopefully Ive made progress since then. I've gained alot of weight 40 pounds!! Kinda nervous for the weigh in tomorrow.

Doing good..just getting ready to be done but nervous at the same time. I keep telling myself to enjoy this time without a newborn to take care of. I just look forward to my weekly appointments they give me hope that he will come out lol. How about you?

Hey! Well I'm back to "normal". I feel really good. I've been getting lots of BH, but all painless. I've finally completed the nursery. I had my baby shower on Sat. and was given some great stuff. I had to run out to Babies R Us and pick up a changing table pad and terry cloth covers. I used to work every weekend and now that I've quit, I get to experience shopping on Saturdays. Oh MY GOD! Babies R Us = madhouse! Costco =unbelievable. But I'm glad to have it all done. Now we just need our "little guy". I have an appointment on Wed. I'm eager to see if I'm dilated more. I'm seeing my drs. "partner". I've never met her before. She'll be the one on call the week of my due date. Of course I prefer my regular doc, but who knows when labor will start. I heard that this other dr. is pregnant as well. That's cool. Something in common. I'll let you know what she says. How's the weather where you are? It's beautiful and sunny in Seattle. I think my doc said she'll induce at 41 weeks. 41 weeks would be Wed. 21st. That sounds so far away. Would you consider castor oil? I was thinking about it and then chickened out. I heard if it doesn't induce labor you still end up with wicked diarrhea. Nice. Don't need that. :0

Maybe the sweep was easier for me because my cervix is low and soft. My cramping is mainly gone. I did lose a little more plug this morning, but I'm convinced that doesn't mean much. I'll have another sweep on Wed. I now have this feeling I'll still be pregnant then. Bummer. I just wish there were a magic pill. I read on some website that if the sweep is going to work at all, it will happen within 48 hrs.

Well, I've had lots of contractions that have lasted a lot longer than my usual B.H. I have menstrual type cramps pretty much constantly. I was able to sleep well through the night, didn't need tylenol or anything. This afternoon I lost a chunk of brownish mucous. Oh and my lower back has an achy feeling. I just keep waiting for contractions that can be timed. These just seem long and irregular. It's frustrating. :( In the meantime however, I'm going for a long walk. Yesterday it rained, today it's sunny. Normal Seattle. I live near GreenLake and if I walk the perimeter, it's 2.8 miles. That might help things along. How's your day? Nora

I told her to stop during the cervix check. I was tense and it hurt. My doctor then said she'll try next week. At that point I asked how long will it take to do the stripping. She said 30 seconds. That's when I got some confidence and asked her to go ahead. The key is to blow through pursed lips really hard. You know, like labor breathing. Got me through. When it was all done I was so happy. I've been cramping all afternoon! Maybe it worked. We'll see.

hi honey, I have no idea... from what I can gather - loose stool is very normal and is in preparation of labour, but there seem to be different schools of thought as to what dark stool means - it's apparently normal if you're taking iron supplements (although this with "loose stool" seems quite unusual, given constipation etc), but some seem to feel that very dark or black stool means bleeding in the upper GI tract and warrants a visit to your doctor... maybe check with him to be safe.

Wouldn't worry too much about your heart racing, I've had the same thing on and off since about 14 weeks... feels like my heartis going to pop out my chest it beats so fast... but I get my blood pressure checked regularly and all is normal... I don't know what causes it!

I hope this helps a little bit hon - just a newbie here, but I also analyse absolutely everything that happens! lol

Hey hon, I'm sure your nausea and headaches etc is just nerves! But my midwife says that nausea which leads to actual vomiting (with or without accompanying diarrhea) can be a sign of labour on its way - she says some women's bodies just do a good "clean out" to prepare for labour... maybe you're close! X

I've noticed I'm def getting a little bit grumpy. i just feel like crap it's starting to get freaking hot here, and i'm soooooo tired and annoyed with people asking me if i've had her already. ugh my grandma called me like 12 times today alone to see if i was ready to go to the hospital. I'm like " i don't think i'm the one that has to be ready! it's this baby!" we'll get through this right? i mean it's not like we can be pregnant forever! ( even though it seems like it)

YAY! I am excited for you!! I am sure them even attempting will speed some things up!! I went to the Dr. today myself and I have finally started dialting!! YAY! He said if I don't have her this weekend he is going to break my water monday morning because I am anxious and baby is big! hehe But that will be the day after I am due, so it is perfectly safe for her! So excited! Be sure and keep me posted!!

UGH! I am doing good...but starting to get very uncomfortable. I am 38 weeks 4 days today and I don't think she is wanting to come anytime soon! hehe Last week the Dr. said that my cervix "hadn't done much" so I am hoping when I go back tomorrow I have some kind of good news! hehe I am just ready for her to be here. How are you feeling? Let me know how your appt. goes and if you have dialted at all. This is your 2nd baby...so you have a good chance of him coming early!! :)
