1/23/08 - It's 12:18am and I'm wide awake! I took a nap earlier so I have crazy energy. I had a very interesting and productive weekend.. LOL. I go for the BPP and NST weekly now and everything is going good. I also had my 2nd of 3 lamaze classes which are VERY informative. God knows i would be lost if i didn't take this class. I've learned about everything i'm going through and everything all you ladies are going through as well. it's amazing.

My hubby, he's really still my boyfriend but since the baby stole my engagement and we are so much more than boyfriend/girlfriend i'll just call him my hubby, threw me the BEST SURPRISE baby shower ever! Of course others assisted, but he did the majority of the work and it turned out to be exactly what i wanted! Our families met for the first time and danced together ALL NITE LONG! And the gifts, OMG, I need another apt just for them! It took a 1 truck and 1 minivan to bring them home! (to think, and I'm still getting gifts!) This little girl is going to be spoiled ROTTEN!

I also started my weekly doctor visits. I'm started to efface. I'm starting to thin but not dilate yet. THE DOCTOR TOUCHED HER HEAD! And they changed my meds, I've officially become a druggie! I learned how to fill the syringes now instead of getting them preloaded... eh, not that exciting. If anyone likes to stab themself on a daily basis - you're NUTS! But i deal because, w/o it my little girl wouldn't be possible.

Once again, thank you ladies for scaring the crap out of me every time i log in! LOL. But trust me, you guys are doing me the greatest favor by educating me! Thank you guys so much.

12/10 - First off, thank you to this site and all the ladies on here. You guys have kept this inspirational and informative. I usually check weekly and until today when i read the "slvrmoon" had her son, i thought it would be a good time to come out of hiding. Congratulations to your new son!

My Story - I had been trying to get pregnant for years, it was a dream of mine to have my first child young (18). Yes, that is very young, but it's because that is when my mom had me and she and i are very close. It's only natural that I wanted the same. Unfortunately, it wasn't for me and after years of trying, i finally gave up. Little did I know, once I had given up, a miracle would happen. There is more to my medical history than I knew, and I found out why it was so hard to conceive. I won't go into details... I'm on Lovenox, which has been a miracle drug to me and my little girl as to many others. She's as healthy as can be and can't wait 'til she's here. Okay, a bit nervous since i read that i have less time than i thought since you ladies are dialating and giving birth already!

Message to all This may be interesting to some of you. Seema`s email is seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Hi there,

I work for a television production company based in the UK . We are currently making a documentary for ITV1 exploring the issues surrounding pregnancy and eating disorders. The film will be a thoughtful and insightful look into this extremely sensitive subject.

We’re in the research stage of our production and very keen to chat to women who are, or have been, pregnant whilst having an eating disorder.

If you’re interested in having a chat or finding out more about our documentary, it would be really great to hear from you. All communication would be in complete confidence.

You can contact me on: seema.modhvadia@rdftelevision.com

Sx

Good, I am glad I was able to comfort you at least a little! The only thing I have learned about breast feeding is that just when I think I have it all figured out- something changes! :) Oh well, it is worth it in the end! Hope your little sweetie is getting into an eating routine now- she is beautiful! :)

caitlin h - Sunday, 6 April
Hi- I saw your message on the breastfeeding board- my son goes through stages like that and my doctor said that it is totally normal. It could be that your baby is getting more efficient at emptying your breast (and your breast is emptying faster), or she may just be going through a stage where she doesn't want to eat as long or as often. My doctor said that as long as the baby has plenty of wet diapers, then not to worry! My son only nurses about 5 min. or less on each breast, and he is almost 20 pounds at 5 months! :) Good luck, hope this puts your mind at rest- isn't being a mother stressful! :)

I drank a small bottle of the castor oil with my baby last year, and had bad contractions for about 12 hours, then they went away. A week later I decided to drink some more. I went to my appointment the next day and was 4cm, so he admitted me to the hospital, and I had my baby 3 hours later. I don't know for certain that it was the castor oil, but it seemed to help.

You know what, I don't think anyone's really content until they have their little one safe in their arms and they can see just how perfect their little babies are. I hope your complications rest at bay until you have your little miracle. Just think, you're down to days now!

I can see why you're scared...wow! When you mentioned calcification and stillbirth, I have to admit that I got a bit freaked out. I can understand why you'd be worried. What is considered safer, for you and your baby girl...a C-Section or Vaginal?

carla69 - Saturday, 2 Feb
I'm confused as to why they would induce you due to calcification and why the risk of still birth. I was told that I, too, have calcification of my placenta but was never told of any concerns associated with it. They just said that it is aging. They said that some people's placentas age faster than others...that's it. Did they give you a percentage as to how much of the placenta is calcified?

While I was pregnant with my son they stopped my labor twice, I was having contractions every 2 minutes and I never felt a thing. I ended up having an emergency c-section due to hellp syndrome, but this pregnancy I actually feel the braxton hicks but I went to L&D to get checked for something and she said, oh wow your contractions are great.. I didn't feel one!

MrsCrick - Wednesday, 23 Jan
I am more than ready at this point lol. This whole sick thing has been horrible I have already had 1 IV to replace fluids. I see my midwife today and get the results from my U/S last week so hopefully it wont be too much longer cuz I am getting worried since I cant eat or drink.

Lema - Monday, 7 Jan
that's what I fear most..lol as I bought so many blue things and I was only told once at 19weeks that I'm having a boy.. but to be honest I still think it's a girl.. the sonographer never showed us the boys part and we have only chosen boys names.

mylovelybabybump - Saturday, 29 Dec
I have weekly Biophysical Profile Tests in part because I have gestational diabetes and part because of possible BP issues and of course my age. I think more and more docs are doing them lately. I dont mind it at all. Getting to see every week how my baby is doing and peeking in on her relaxes me. Congrsats and take care!!!!

michelle08 - Monday, 24 Dec
And congratulations on your precious baby girl!
