Hello Everyone!

My name is Shilah and I am 22 years old. I had cervical cancer last year and had to have a few surgeries to get rid of it. Because of that the Dr.s told us that If i were to get pregnant that the chances of my cervix holding the baby to term were slim.

Well I just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on August 1st. My boyfriend and I are LOVING every moment of being parents yes, even the sleepless ones!

The rain the last few days have been our only saving grace. Because of that its helped to cool things off. Not to mention how it is so needed here, with everything so darn dry.

I live in the Leesburg area, so we are about an hour from Orlando.

Lets keep doing a rain dance....maybe it will keep it coming...lol..

Had a bad dream the other night... Dreamt that I dropped my daughter on her head. It's one of my biggest fears is dropping my child. I dropped a baby when I was very young in church and I don't think I've ever forgiven myself for it!

But, I have been dreaming about my unborn daughter alot some good some bad.

In all actuality...I feel like I am out of breathe all the time, like I have asthma or something especially with the hot weather kicking over here. We probaly need to elevate our feet alot more ahhh who am I kidding where just a bunch of pregos J/K, retaining lots of water and not to mention we have a human body inside of us!!! LOL...

I guess we have to practice breathing skills in and out or something...i am just wondering how I will be breathing during labor if its like this already

Ohhh PS have a wonderful babyshower mine was on my birthday that's why my mom had it so early and it was overcast (weather) but it was and always will be a memorable experience no matter how hectic everything is....HAVE FUN!!! :)

I hope your feeling better now that you have your iron pills! I have been a little tired myself, my feet have been swollen...I had went to the beach for a air show (Blue Angels) on Memorial Day weekend, here on Long Island NY and I had forgot to put sunblock lotion on my feet and they swelled up so badly I had to take off of work...I had to elevate them. Any pressure and I looked like a limp bunny hopping around it was that bad!!! But I was a trooper, running to bbq's, friends house etc...just had to elevate! :) The Dr. said I was fine though no toxema etc...just due to the fact that my feet were so swelled from the sunburn. To make things a tad bit worse I thought I really wasn't going to say this but I am starting to get some stretch marks under my belly button...I had some under my breast and the sides a little bit and now my stomach!!! I'll get through just trooping and cooking away lol ttus sweetheart xoxo

Congratulations with your pregnancy. I just had my son April 29th 2008. He was due April 27th so I was 2 days late. I was in labor for 19 hrs and pushed for 3 hrs. They gave me an Episiotomy cause I couldn't push hard enough so they cut me open to get him out. He was 7lbs 12 oucnes and was 20/34 inches long. I have pics please check them out! Thanks, Michelle
