I am a new mother to a little baby girl named arianni and a mother to a 7 y/o girl named jannie. it is harder than i thought it would be to have 2 children! i now have each of my ears occupied by a lil girl and they both want something at the same time.. i tend to get frustraited but it always works out to my advantage. my boyfriend is a first time dad so thing to him can be kinda frightening as he still holds her like she will break but yet isnt affraid to toss around my oldest lol..i am looking forward to returning to work on july 1st!!8 weeks off work is to long, i cant wait to have the extra money again.

arianni is now 3 weeks old and is growing so fast it is hard to beleive how fast it go's after the baby is born! i have some baby blues but they dont seem to be getting better. i had postpartum with my first so i am at high risk of getting it this time as well. i hope not i am trying my hardest to be happy..

i was un able to breastfeed due to not getting any milk i was really upset because i was looking forward as well as excited because i didnt breastfeed my first due to hypertension. my milk came is bad and not feedable.arianni is a great eater though but she likes to gulp and swallows a lot of air and the when it comes time to burp she swallows the air till she gets a belly ache.

she doesnt sleep much up every 2-3 hours still but hopefully she will soon i am tired. she is growing fast and i will update as offten as i can.

wow, sounds like my house. Logan was Really fussy on Goodstart, so I switched him to Isomil and he's better. But the burps STINK! LOL

Hey girl,
How are things going?

kmfitz - Friday, 6 June
I'm exhausted :( This is so sucky. I don't get what the problem is--I change her, feed her, and she still won't sleep in the bassinett. Just now I went to see what was wrong and the poor thing had peed all over herself. It was all over her clothes, the blanket, the bassinett. I am so frustrated.

Aww poor baby!! Doesn't it break your heart? Mine isn't spilling as much anymore if at all, just a lil bit on the sides. He also slept for 4 hours last night, woke up for one, then slept two at a time till this morning. You'd think I'd sleep while he did but nope, I still woke up a ton.

Girl, You're right! i switched t th playtex drop ins bottle last night and it works! Thank you!

luvmy-buninoven - Wednesday, 4 June
I'm going to try them out then thanks :) ... wonder why he all of a sudden doesn't take these Soothie bottles? I guess they change huh?

luvmy-buninoven - Wednesday, 4 June
Mine does too! Glad I'm not alone, we're using the Soothie brand bottles, he loves the pacifiers so we tried those and they have been great up until a few days ago, now he leaking out his mouth... we were using the playtex ventair but he spit up too much..... I want to try the drop ins so let me know if it fixes the leaking issue!

I'm so glad to know I'm not alone! I think we have the same boyfriend LOL! Things are a bit better now, he had a 4 hour stretch of sleep last night, so hopefully this past week was a growth spurt (he gained a pound last week!). Congrats to you too girl!

try Mylicon for infants for the coliciness. it really helps, i've had to use it with my daughter.

nmck - Friday, 30 May
I understand how you are feeling. I always wanted a bunch of kids, and still do... but this infancy stage is totally overwhelming. My husband has had to work late twice since the baby came home. One of those nights the baby cried so much I started crying! I had to call my sisters and they reassured me that babies cry and this stage is just temporary. I do try to get out of the house every day. It makes me feel like I am part of the world! Today the baby and I are going to go walk around Walmart to buy a present for my sister's new baby. I just wanted you to know I understand your feelings.

If it is a clogged tear duct making her eyes watery/gooey my doctor told me to place a warm damp wash cloth over her eye for about 5 minutes, then gently masage the tear duct till all the goo comes out... Maybe that will help, Good Luck

mom4aab - Sunday, 25 May
hi. are you sure it's an eye cold? my daughter has what looked like an eye cold but was actually a clogged tear duct. her eye would water a lot and get green/yellow eye boogers all the time.

danish-girl - Thursday, 22 May
Yay! I am hoping - maybe it'll be the same for me huh? :-)

I still dont have any kind of feeling 'downthere' - sometimes a little pressure but nothing that makes me walk like a duck or whatever people say they do once their baby has pushed its way to last station of pelvis...I guess I'll find out monday when I go for my first internal.

How is life with your daughter?

danish-girl - Wednesday, 21 May
Thanks for telling me that - I was beginning to think I'd be preggas until x-mas because I have no signs of anything happening...

luvbeingamom - Wednesday, 21 May
i read you comment about your little one not latching. When both my kids where first born they couldn't latch either. I got nipple shields and they latched fine. NOw my son is going to be 7mo old and we have exlusivly bf until now. If you really want to bf that maybe a great way to help your little one latch. You can buy them at Walmart, target, babies r us, etc. I would recommend getting the 24mm. Also, if you choose to stick with formula that is ok too. I know how you feel about not breast feeding. I only bf my older son for 4 weeks b/c i couldn't keep up with him. I am happy to have so much success with my second son. But i felt awful about not bf with my older son. But he is happy and healthy and about to be 3! Your baby will be fine either way.!

socalgal - Wednesday, 21 May
Start breastfeeding like crazy. It is not too late. Even if she doesn't want to at first, she will if she gets hungry enough. It's the only thing that will bring you relief. Otherwise, you need to suffer through this so your milk will dry up and you may get infections.

danish-girl - Wednesday, 21 May
About your breasts - you should make some towels wet and then put them in microwave and put them on your breasts - when they are warm it will make the milk run. It is supposedly the best way. But be careful that you dont burn yourself. Get the towel all around them and all the way in under your arms so everything gets heated up in there...you'll hopefully get a great flow of milk coming that way! :-)

Best of luck!

danish-girl - Wednesday, 21 May
Thank you so much. I have an appointment on monday where the do an internal. I'll be 41+3 and that's the time when they decide what to do here in Denmark. I have no idea if I'm effaced or anything as it will be my first internal :-)

It'll hopefully be good news or even better - I'll have gone into labor before monday.

How is everything going for you?

Lina x

TNMom - Wednesday, 21 May
Put wet cloths, as hot as you can stand them, on your breasts, reheating as necessary. This should help you be able to express some out to give a little relief.

HaveFaith050108 - Wednesday, 21 May
Have you tried massaging your breast while you pump? Or take a shower first and then try pumping them again and see if that helps.....

ninavedicci - Monday, 19 May
Congratulations on your baby girl!

newmom4 - Thursday, 15 May
weird, but i'd be happy to be seeing all that mucous...it's a good sign labor may be starting soon. I'm so ready to have mine. I've tried just about everything short of castor oil. I'm a little scared to try that. Oh well, good luck. I hope it's not much longer for you.
