Baby Hayden 18 wks

My name is Heidi. This is what I used to look like before pregnancy. :-) Now I am 20 weeks pregnant and 19 lbs heavier than I was. I am happily married to my high school sweetheart after 19 years of being on separate paths. I am blessed that fate brought us back together and I am able to give him a son he has never had. I had genetic testing so I know the gender, but still look forward to my 20 wk u/s next week.

(The latest and greatest is that I had my baby on April 3rd. It was quite an experience to say the least. The meds did not work so I ended up having a natural birth. Boy, I commend all those who electively choose natural child birth. Now that I have done it, I appreciate the value of it, but will chose to get the epidural at 5-6 cm if I did it again.

Baby Hayden is now 5 months and a sweetie. I am truly enjoying having a baby in the house again although I still get no sleep and now have high blood pressure. I am still nursing full time and have introduced cereal, fruits, and carrots. In a couple weeks, we will introduce some meat baby food and another vegetable.

People are wondering where I live so here it is....

We had a wonderful weekend with my brother and his family in the Mountains. Baby Hayden even cooperated enough to allow me to hike in 2007. I hope we can do it again.

Well, it is hard to believe that I am now 22 weeks. I am waiting until January to start counting down. As a mother starting life again, it is quite weird and exciting. I am enjoying seeing my kids learn about pregnancy and the technology that goes with it. I think my son wants to be with me for the delivery, but my daughter will be at a Volleyball tournament. I have to say that pregnancy takes a long time and I am totally restless now. The holidays will help the 2nd trimester finish quickly, but the third trimester will probably take forever. Oh well, it has been quite nice having other women to discuss all these feelings with.

Hello,
your baby is so gorgeous - What a beautiful family!

I am so nervous (and scared but staying postive!) I received the results of my maternal blood screening and something came back "abnormal" I go in for a sonogram in a few hours, from what I've read there's nothing to worry about (it's not diagnostic) but man hearing 'abnormal' and being well over 35 it's scary but I am feeling good staying postive... Can't wait to hear everything is ok and see what I am having!

I am a very schedule oriented person so being able to have my baby on a schedule makes me feel a little more in control. The first few days were overwhelming and chaotic but now that I am working on some kind of schedule I am feeling less overwhelmed. It is a good thing he is so stinking cute to make up for the sleep deprivation, lol!

Yeah, I have taken all the ladies advice on here and told my husband I was willing to do all night time duties as long as I can do them all in the room and he doesn't wine if it wakes him up. I also told him he needs to do all night time duties on the weekends (except for feeding since he has no boobs lol). I guess my complaint stems mostly form the fact that I have no idea what I am doing and I just felt really alone at night and confused and I felt like we should figure it out together. However I have spent all day reading a book called Baby Wise and I now feel like I have a better idea on how to handle this little one. Before every thing was just up in the air and so confusing. It is really hard for me since this is my first and I had no idea what to expect but I will follow this book as best as possible and see how it works.

yea I sure as hell wouldnt with the tear as well. Yea the hemmorhoids majorly suck. They gave me a stool softener in the hospital but I just got them the other day, so the stool softener would certainly help now. Yea this financial thing has been a mess. My mother in law gave us $800 to help since the whole thing was kinda her fault but that still puts my husband and I sooo behind. We had a pretty bad fight last night. How I havent done enough around the house for the past month. And I was like hello! I was on bedrest with the pregnancy and then bedrest after we got home!! give me a break! Which soooo did not help my whole depression mess. But we are doing ok now. I think we are both just on edge with the money mess and learning to live with two kids...one being a newborn of which he doesnt understand how I havent slept in weeks. So yea.
I got super excited cuz it looked like I had completely stopped bleeding, but I took the girls for a short walk and I started again. Dang.
How you doing??

baby4aaden - Tuesday, 15 April
How funny, I was just sitting here breastfeeding saying ouch, ouch, ouch, not so hard Aaden while reading your comment about painful breastfeeding :) I know exactly how you feel about breastfeeding. Its funny that soon our nipples will toughen up and almost be numb! Does little Hayden let you sleep at night? Mine wants to eat every hour or two at night and sleep all day, and with my 3 other kids I'm not lucky enough to nap. I almost named mine Hayden but went with Aaden both super cute names:)

My baby is doing great! He is incredibly healthy and happy but he is definitely not sleeping through the night. Has your hubby gone back to work yet? Mine has. If so does he still help out with night time duties? I am just curious because I am sort of feeling like my husband isn't pulling his weight so I would like to hear what other husbands are doing to help out.

Emma is here! I updated my page and should have a picture up shortly!

so, last night i decide to start formula because my baby has lost too much weight, and i felt that she was starving, and i really think she was. so i think because of my breast reduction, i cant keep up with the milk production, or maybe not all of my ducts work. she was doing so good in the hospital, lots of wet and dirty diapers, but she was chunky, and now she has loose skin, and it makes me want to cry. i just couldn't wait it out because my mother ituition was telling me, GIVE HER A BOTTLE, SHE IS HUNGRY!!!! and i'm glad i did. on the plus side, i can eat whatever and not be worried about it upsetting the baby. and i want the mirena iud for birth control, and i dont think you can have that when you are nursing. well, i hope you are doing good, i have to go feed my little peanut and get some fat on her!

mom2boy - Sunday, 13 April
Hey, thanks so much. I have been meaning to post a birth story but as you can imagine I have been so busy.

Cryptic304 - Sunday, 13 April
yep...doing my best. I had two crying spells today, but Im doing ok as of now. How come you are worried?

hismunchkin05 - Saturday, 12 April
Thank you. Now that it's over....I'm just glad she's here and that the pain is over!!! :)

buninoven2 - Friday, 11 April
yeah, i feel like every time my husband looks at me, i'm exposed!

snowie13 - Friday, 11 April
Omg the double medela is the bomb! That's what I have! It works great and is so worth the money. With my last little one I could pump two 4 oz bottles in like 10 minutes. I was just really bad at pumping during the day so my milk production wasn't that great so he ended up weaning himself at about 10 months and I had to supplement with formula during the day pretty early on. I've vowed to be better about it this time (mostly b/c formula is so d*mn expensive!!!) Plus...my boobs are friggin awesome LOL!!!

Cryptic304 - Friday, 11 April
yea Ive been debating calling my dr tomorrow and making an appt for me and then asking him about her breathing again when Im there. But I still havent decided...
Ha nice laundry list of meds there. Dang. ha.
oh and Im not sure if I ever asked you...do you have myspace?

jenn1022 - Friday, 11 April
Well I am very grateful for this site, we are able to keep in touch with all of our friends. It was so supportive and I enjoyed it so much while pregnant and I have a feeling I will use it and love it just as much now. It is so great to have people going through the same thing to talk to!

hismunchkin05 - Friday, 11 April
I'm finally home with Phoebe!!!! I posted some pics and my birth story

jenn1022 - Friday, 11 April
Yeah I hear ya. I have been on an emotional roller coaster since the baby was born. I think I had certain expectations about things and when they didn't happen I started to feel down and like I somehow wasn't being a good mom. The breastfeeding issue I think is what started it. I was expecting it to go smoothly and it didn't. He didn't want to latch on from the beginning and that really threw me, I also expected my rountine to go back to what it was right away and that didn't happen either. But slowly but surely things are starting to get back to "normal" and the baby is starting to breastfeed a little more. So anyways not to ramble on or anything. I am doing ok. sick but ok :)

snowie13 - Friday, 11 April
I'll be doing the same. I'm going back to work the first week of June. Ugh.....pumping every 3 hours at work...that's always fun! This will be my second time around in that ring. :o)

Cryptic304 - Friday, 11 April
yea they gave me percets but Im being really careful about taking those. They had to give me 2 at a time in the hospital to help the slightest. But I, at home, am only taking one at a time once a day if that...Im really trying not to take those if I can. I love them...but...I had a period where I was kinda addicted to painkillers for awhile because I was dealing with so much pain with my teeth and stuff...but yea. Ive tried cutting back today with the ibuprofen but can really tell the difference.Yea my ob through this pregnancy has pretty much sucked. So far my family dr (the girls dr) have been so great, he is the one that is going to take care of me if I have to get meds for the ppd. He already said even if you dont have your records here just call me and I'll take care of you. He's been so great. Im so glad I went back to him.

Cryptic304 - Thursday, 10 April
Have you really? My baby dr for both girls said you dont have to do anything to them anymore. And yea Jade's turned out just fine. Now Eden's fell off the other day but still has some crusty scapy stuff left so I thought maybe I should treat it, and I always heard about putting alcohol on them. Aww poor lil guy...ha, see Im kinda glad I didnt have a boy cuz of stuff like that. Im worried about Eden's breathing. She seems to like hyperventilate and gasp for air...but she does it alot throughout the day. Like shes done it about 4 times just since writing this message. But she didnt do it at all when we were at the dr of course...

baby4aaden - Thursday, 10 April
