Baby Hayden 18 wks

My name is Heidi. This is what I used to look like before pregnancy. :-) Now I am 20 weeks pregnant and 19 lbs heavier than I was. I am happily married to my high school sweetheart after 19 years of being on separate paths. I am blessed that fate brought us back together and I am able to give him a son he has never had. I had genetic testing so I know the gender, but still look forward to my 20 wk u/s next week.

(The latest and greatest is that I had my baby on April 3rd. It was quite an experience to say the least. The meds did not work so I ended up having a natural birth. Boy, I commend all those who electively choose natural child birth. Now that I have done it, I appreciate the value of it, but will chose to get the epidural at 5-6 cm if I did it again.

Baby Hayden is now 5 months and a sweetie. I am truly enjoying having a baby in the house again although I still get no sleep and now have high blood pressure. I am still nursing full time and have introduced cereal, fruits, and carrots. In a couple weeks, we will introduce some meat baby food and another vegetable.

We had a wonderful weekend with my brother and his family in the Mountains. Baby Hayden even cooperated enough to allow me to hike in 2007. I hope we can do it again.

Well, it is hard to believe that I am now 22 weeks. I am waiting until January to start counting down. As a mother starting life again, it is quite weird and exciting. I am enjoying seeing my kids learn about pregnancy and the technology that goes with it. I think my son wants to be with me for the delivery, but my daughter will be at a Volleyball tournament. I have to say that pregnancy takes a long time and I am totally restless now. The holidays will help the 2nd trimester finish quickly, but the third trimester will probably take forever. Oh well, it has been quite nice having other women to discuss all these feelings with.

He he, it's not all that bad. It's only the right side but I've found that the fuller it is, the harder it is for her to get a good latch so if I can pump a little out before hand, the feeding isn't so painful, plus I've tried different positions too, lying down seems to work the best for the time being :o)

I have periods of being that way. I feel good at one point during the day and then I start to feel awful. Well my bleeding seems to do ok when Im just laying around but if I get up for anything or barely walk around the house it goes crazy. I drove today and when I got back realized I had bleed terribly but I kinda could tell it was coming cuz I was cramping awful today. Did you treat his cord? With my first and with eden they said you dont need to treat them anymore . But Eden's is a bit scapy now too so I didnt know if I should try to clean that out somehow or not. What are you doing to your little ones?

Yeah I think I have found a new Dr. for him, But now I am sick so I am crossing my fingers he doesn't get it! I just hope I get better soon, it is hard enough as it is taking care of a newborn when you are well let alone when you are sick! How have you been? Do your older kids help out with the baby?

oh and Eden's cord fell off, but it has been oozing a bit which I heard is normal but its got a bit of like a scap like stuff there now...should I try to clean that out you think or what?

My mother in law was supposed to be coming tomorrow to help me so I can rest a bit but now she is sick...dang it! Ive been hurting more the past day or two...and bleeding alot more, I dont think I should still be bleeding this heavy...

I know, it bugs me. Plus we brought the baby to his sisters house Sunday which is right around the corner from where his mother lives & she was too lazy to walk around the corner to see her. & everytime THEY wanna see her, it's always US having to drive the 45 minutes. Especially with gas being as expensive as it is here. I told my boyfriend if they wanna see her, they can come here. I was mad enough that they expected me to bring her there like the day after we got home from the hospital. People are supposed to come visit us & our newborns.

My mom loves her. She hates going to work because she's gone from 7 am until about 7 pm so she always misses the baby like crazy. MIL loves her but refuses to stop smoking in her house for us to bring her over. I don't want her around that. My boyfriend told her she must not wanna see her that bad if she won't even go outside to smoke rather than in her house.

Geesh. Well I hope you are able to get some more sleep tonight! It was horrible getting like no sleep at the end of my pregnancy. I get more sleep now that the baby is here which may sound odd lol.

Yikes. My boyfriends best friends wife has a very cranky little boy too. She was breastfeeding him & he would wake up every 2 hours for more so she switched to formula. Because I guess they digest breast milk faster so they get hungry more often or something & he's happy as long as the pacifier is in his mouth, but as soon as they take it out, he starts screaming, lol. I got lucky this time, but I have a feeling I won't be so lucky next time.

haha my first delivery with Jade I was crazy about them. And I was sooo doped up I kept making EVERYONE listen to the jokes on the sticks. haha. I only had like two this time but ya know...ha. Yea I think I am going to call my dr friday and try to get an appt for wed. I think it may be getting better but I still feel like it is a problem.

I think it's getting better. It seems to not hurt as much when I feed her on that side while lying down. Maybe she just has a bad latch on that side.

She's a good eater too. I try to feed her at least every 2-3 hours.
