Baby Hayden 18 wks

My name is Heidi. This is what I used to look like before pregnancy. :-) Now I am 20 weeks pregnant and 19 lbs heavier than I was. I am happily married to my high school sweetheart after 19 years of being on separate paths. I am blessed that fate brought us back together and I am able to give him a son he has never had. I had genetic testing so I know the gender, but still look forward to my 20 wk u/s next week.

(The latest and greatest is that I had my baby on April 3rd. It was quite an experience to say the least. The meds did not work so I ended up having a natural birth. Boy, I commend all those who electively choose natural child birth. Now that I have done it, I appreciate the value of it, but will chose to get the epidural at 5-6 cm if I did it again.

Baby Hayden is now 5 months and a sweetie. I am truly enjoying having a baby in the house again although I still get no sleep and now have high blood pressure. I am still nursing full time and have introduced cereal, fruits, and carrots. In a couple weeks, we will introduce some meat baby food and another vegetable.

We had a wonderful weekend with my brother and his family in the Mountains. Baby Hayden even cooperated enough to allow me to hike in 2007. I hope we can do it again.

Well, it is hard to believe that I am now 22 weeks. I am waiting until January to start counting down. As a mother starting life again, it is quite weird and exciting. I am enjoying seeing my kids learn about pregnancy and the technology that goes with it. I think my son wants to be with me for the delivery, but my daughter will be at a Volleyball tournament. I have to say that pregnancy takes a long time and I am totally restless now. The holidays will help the 2nd trimester finish quickly, but the third trimester will probably take forever. Oh well, it has been quite nice having other women to discuss all these feelings with.

Oh I can understand all of that and I agree that we're just better in that department. I would just appreciate when he's home, him taking her so that I could take a little nap or something once in awhile. Unfortunately I don't think that beating him would do any good. I said something about doing it last night and he said to go ahead, he'd probably enjoy it. Uh men...maybe it's just these "6 weeks" getting to him! LOL

My water broke April 2 and I got stuck at 5 centimeters as well. It slowing started to go up once I got the epi and the contractions medicine. I was not having contractions at all. My Epi decided to run out at the last minute as well. LOL I had his April 3rd at 8:33am. 3 Pushes in less then 5 minutes he was out. Yeah for me. He was 6lbs 3ozs and 20 inches. Perfect as can be!!! I am so happy for us!!!

Maybe you can help me, what did the very start of labor feel like. Did it just start with contractions or did it start with cramping first? Or anything first? I am just trying to see if what I am feeling could be the start. I am not to good at guess because I thought I felt movement down there as if I were dilating and I haven't done that yet!

Im doing my best to make it through. I talked to my dr today about it and he told me to keep an eye on it and the second I feel like its more serious to call him. Yea Im terribly engorged. I have been putting cold compresses on them and that seems to get the swelling to go down for a little bit I suppose.

We're doing well. London sleeps pretty good. Way better than my son did. Of course she sleeps best when it's on my chest. I think I got a clogged milk duct from it too...ugh!

Thats the thing I can't take. It is the fact that I seriously can hardly move or walk at this point. I have a messed up sciatic nerve and have since before I was pregnant. It is unreal painful. Otherwise I would be ...umm ok.... with the waiting. I still want it to be born but would be willing to wait a little more.

I tried the breastfeeding thing and we just couldn't get the hang of it. Good luck to you! So other than that, how's things going? I am doing much better, thanks. Kamryn is starting to sleep longer through the night. I only have to get up about twice now! My hubby and I made a deal that we'd each get up with her everyother night...what a joke that has turned out to be, I'm going on 3 in a row! Needless to say I'm about to beat him. :(

yea, Im staying on i am pregnant so far as well. I am going to find that forum page though, thats the biggest thing I am missing.
But yea my husband says I am just worrying too much about everything...which may be the case but I'd just rather be safe than sorry ya know?
Im going to talk to eden's dr tomorrow, he is also our old family dr so maybe e'll will be able to at least tell me something.
It seems like everyhting hits me most when it comes to sleep. Like Im too overly concerned about the lack of sleep I am getting....which I read later that overly concerned about lack of sleep is a symptom or ppd. Im talking to the dr about it tomorrow, not real sure whatt all he will be able to do though.

oh and I dont know about talking babies yet, I havent even looked at it. I was afraid if I switched or something that everything I have on my pregnancy page would be gone. Another friend of mine on here said she didnt see any of her 'friends' from here on talking babies so she has just stayed here so far.

well like its been a week and Im still bleeding pretty heavy and having alot of pain down there. And I even started to notice a foul odor of which I heard is a bad thing right? Cramping seems to be getting worse. They said to take ibuprofen for 2-3 days after I got home every six hours for the cramping, by then it should be subsiding;..well its been a week and I still feel rough. It just feels like Im not getting any better and this depression thing is getting worse. I cried last night at bed, this morning when I woke up and after my nap now since I got 3 hours of sleep...I just feel so down and depressed and I could cry.
