Baby Hayden 18 wks

My name is Heidi. This is what I used to look like before pregnancy. :-) Now I am 20 weeks pregnant and 19 lbs heavier than I was. I am happily married to my high school sweetheart after 19 years of being on separate paths. I am blessed that fate brought us back together and I am able to give him a son he has never had. I had genetic testing so I know the gender, but still look forward to my 20 wk u/s next week.

(The latest and greatest is that I had my baby on April 3rd. It was quite an experience to say the least. The meds did not work so I ended up having a natural birth. Boy, I commend all those who electively choose natural child birth. Now that I have done it, I appreciate the value of it, but will chose to get the epidural at 5-6 cm if I did it again.

Baby Hayden is now 5 months and a sweetie. I am truly enjoying having a baby in the house again although I still get no sleep and now have high blood pressure. I am still nursing full time and have introduced cereal, fruits, and carrots. In a couple weeks, we will introduce some meat baby food and another vegetable.

We had a wonderful weekend with my brother and his family in the Mountains. Baby Hayden even cooperated enough to allow me to hike in 2007. I hope we can do it again.

Well, it is hard to believe that I am now 22 weeks. I am waiting until January to start counting down. As a mother starting life again, it is quite weird and exciting. I am enjoying seeing my kids learn about pregnancy and the technology that goes with it. I think my son wants to be with me for the delivery, but my daughter will be at a Volleyball tournament. I have to say that pregnancy takes a long time and I am totally restless now. The holidays will help the 2nd trimester finish quickly, but the third trimester will probably take forever. Oh well, it has been quite nice having other women to discuss all these feelings with.

Its no kidding in the top ten to have a baby in the whole country!!!
Actually today I have been feeling much better than usual...like the pressure backed off a bit today and the contractions are def not as bad at all!
Didnt have to go to the hospital today...can you believe it? Almost did...see Ive been having this terrible vaginal pressure and stabbing feeling...but today it felt so different...I felt like she was falling out and it made me hunch over and I couldn't stand up. But it stopped now so...not real sure what that was all about. My stomach has felt pretty tight since though...

Oh sweetie you are going through an emotional time, I pray it gets better for you. I been using the handicap stalls before baby, just because I think I need space, hope that makes you feel better. I wish I knew what I was up against with having a baby, that is what have me scared out of my mind. I don't know what I am feeling... I just know I have to get it together -I'm on count down for sure.

I could not fanthom the thought of taking that stuff... ewww! I have heard of it though. Man after what I went through - NO THANK YOU!!! LOL! Yeah if you droppped some - that is a good indication that you don't have long. Me with a few days left has me frantic, scared, happy, and every other emotion under the sun.

Oh I hope! Last week when they stopped my labor I was 80% effaced but now Im like 50%? They think its the swelling she is causing on me. The whole lower half of my belly is swollen badly. Well I was in the hospital again tonight. I have gone everyday since they let me out after stopping the labor! Tomorrow I'll probably be back and Im going to talk to them about inducing me. Especially because of her size and all the problems Ive been having...wish me luck. And to you as well...I hope some relief comes soon...keep me updated!

Hey you! Thanks for the message. Dr. has told me that she's probably measuring smaller b/c I am a small person to being with...ok, I guess he's forgetting about the big 3-1 that I'm also carrying around with me LOL!! It is what it is I guess. She's probably just a small little girl :o)

I'm doing fine. REally uncomfortable today. But my husband has been awesome tonight. He helped with dinner, groceries and cleaned up. Must be the full moon. But I'm loving it tonight. I take it nothing came of your contractions at all. Darn!

Gosh I know how you feel. Every morning when I wake up I am just in excruciating pain. Well I went back to the hospital tonight. Contractions are like 4-5 mintues apart, Im 4cm dilated and only like 40-50% effaced. But they sent me home because im staying steady at that point. He said dont be suprised though if you are back later tonight or tomorrow. He said when they get more intense or the vaginal pressure gets worse call me. I told him there is no way in hell the vaginal pressure could get any worse. OHHHH just induce me already!!!!!

I hope all is well for you as well but I will be so pissed if you go before me!! haha.

I was getting period cramps for a few weeks. But then a few days before I went into labor, my back started hurting like crazy & so did my pelvic bones.

Yes, those are from the babyshower. For some odd reason, I do alot of sweets myself... junk food! I try to stay away from them but I can't help it. At this point I'm like I'm going to enjoy these next 6 days and eat what I want because I have been trying to eat right due to the G/Diabetes but shoot I am having a hard time with doing right. LOL!

yea read the update on my page...
But I feel ya. Im having contractions here and there I believe. My husband and I are so worried that every little pain is labor now though. Because when I was actually in labor...we hadnt a clue at all!! So I dont know...I guess unless my water breaks or I cant handle some regular pains Im not going in...
Im just so worried whats really counting as good contractions and such ya know?
Im very crampy too.
