Baby Hayden 18 wks
My name is Heidi. This is what I used to look like before pregnancy. :-) Now I am 20 weeks pregnant and 19 lbs heavier than I was. I am happily married to my high school sweetheart after 19 years of being on separate paths. I am blessed that fate brought us back together and I am able to give him a son he has never had. I had genetic testing so I know the gender, but still look forward to my 20 wk u/s next week.
Okay, I know this site has alot of items on it, but I am just learning and practicing with all the different things you can do to a website. This is my first time having a website. ha ha ha

We had a wonderful weekend with my brother and his family in the Mountains. Baby Hayden even cooperated enough to allow me to hike.
Well, it is hard to believe that I am now 22 weeks. I am waiting until January to start counting down. As a mother starting life again, it is quite weird and exciting. I am enjoying seeing my kids learn about pregnancy and the technology that goes with it. I think my son wants to be with me for the delivery, but my daughter will be at a Volleyball tournament. I have to say that pregnancy takes a long time and I am totally restless now. The holidays will help the 2nd trimester finish quickly, but the third trimester will probably take forever. Oh well, it has been quite nice having other women to discuss all these feelings with.

Yeah, I still have trouble letting my 3 year old be on his own. I feel like I need to watch his every move around the house. Yesterday a friend of mine brought his daughter over, she just turned 4 so having her and my son at the same time was like twins! I was exhausted LOL!! It is getting warmer here but I wish that summer would come. I like it when it's 80 degrees! Looking forward to it. I would love to move somewhere warmer!

I'm sorry to hear Hayden is being cranky. Is it colic? When my older ones would get gassy, my mother-in-law would let them lick a little on a peppermint stick...like a little candy cane. Crazy I know but it works. We are all doing great. Kamryn is growing like a weed. She has her happy/giggly moments but she is way too serious most of the time! LOL So have to taken your trip to NE yet? How are you healing?

Hello! It's good to see that he's sleeping a little more for you. London went to bed at 7:30 last night and got up at 12:45, 3:30 and 6 am for feedings but she would not settle after her 6 am so I got very little sleep after that. Of course.....I was up watching CSI Miami last night so I didn't get to sleep until after 10! Duh mom!!!
Well, just call me the milk factory. I don't think that my husband has any interest in feeding the baby. He's more hands on when they're a little older and can walk around with him. He's most excellent with our 3 year old ha ha! Have a great day xx

your welcome honey, hope you like it. Well Eden has a really bad case of thrush, but we got medicine yesterday and it seems to be helping already. So she's been pretty sick, in pain, weak, fussy, & uncomfortable as well...poor thing. But she's slowly...very slowly doing better with the medicine. And omg, a woman told me the only thing that would get rid of thrush for her daughter was....
put a wash cloth in her diaper....and after she peed on it, put it in her mouth and let her suck on it for a minute. I was like ohhh no I am so not doing that!!!

I have heard that babies nurse more efficiently than breast pumps. Meaning that just because you only pump 2 to 3 oz doesn't mean that is all your baby is getting. In fact your baby may be getting several oz more. Talk to you Dr about it I am sure they will know better than me.

Well, my husband has said he is going to do childcare for Leah when I go back in August. I got a half time leave of absence for next year, so he will work weekends and have two week days off to be with her. He works nights, so the second half day he will have to wake up early to be with her. I am not sure how it will work out! He hates to change diapers and only does it when absolutely necessary. With our other two, he never had to do this level of full-time care.
I worked in daycare for 15 years before I went back and got my teaching certification- half that time with infants. I love the center I worked at last. It was so homey and the staff really loved the kids. Some centers and day care homes I have visited are kind of scary though. I guess you just have to shop around and go with your gut. My second son went to an in home babysitter while I was in school and he was older so I didn't worry too much. But I was never really happy leaving him there. I don't know. It's hard to leave the little ones with anyone. I wish my parents lived close enough to help out.

wow congrats on the lil one im sure hes a lil man by now.. but i am glad to hear u had a sucessful VBAC i would love to go for one of those too i had twins in 2004 and im not preg yet but i think by the time i get ready to have a baby i should definately be a candidate for one.. so how was the labor? ugh those are the only things i dread but i would love to be able to recover quickly oppose to as long as it takes with a c sec... so how is the baby doing is he sleeping at night and such? well hope to hear from u very soon..
