Hi, we've made it to 15 wks.I've had two mc and have been diagnosed with IC.I had the first mc at 14 wks and the second at 20 wks.I chose to go to a female doc the second time thinking that she would be more concerned since she was a woman .She didn't listen to me when i told her i thought i had an ic .I was sure i did because of a cone biopsy on my cervix about 15 yrs back.She just said that the mc at 14 wks was probaly just a freak thing and that it would probaly not happen again.So i trusted her,after all she was the doc.Well my water broke at 20 wks and my little boy died.I blamed myself for so long for not doing more to make her listen,I also blamed her for not listening to me.I could've stangled her when she delivered my little angel at 20 wks and then looked at me and said I think you do have an IC and next time you get pregnant we will check your cervix and you'll need a cerclage stitch.There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about my two little boys in heaven.
I am pregnant again at 15 wks.My doc has been really good so far ,he has told me he will do a cerclage stitch at 16 wks.I go in for my regular checkup april 10th. The doc said he would schedule the surgery for the following wk ,any procedure has risk but i just hope and pray things go well with no complications.Good luck to all.
