I did the 3hr glucose test was today...I came in fasting and they drew my blood and said I was in range so I had to drink the stuff and wait an hr and then they drew some blood...and an hr later and another hour later.
And.....
I AM SOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!! I DO NOT HAVE DIABETES!!!! YEAH!!!! One test was still a little high, but the other two were fine so that meant that I DO NOT have gestational diabetes!!! yeah!! I am still sooooo very excited!!! That 3 hr test SUCKED!!!!

I know it hurts worse when u get induced from what I have heard.
The Dr says I'm due Dec 3rd but we just have this gut feeling he will be here at least a week early.
I was apparently born a month early and was 7lbs.
My husband was 6lbs 13oz.
I have only gained 7lbs so far... as of last Thursday.
So we will see. I pray to God I pass this test.

I just got my results from my glucose test and it was 143... .they said 130 was the borderline so its just a little bit high.

Been drinking nothing but water and eating fruits, veggies, salads and chicken. Eggs, Cheese, meats... Trying the low carb thing right now..... Not sure what they want to do I have another appt in 3 weeks so I guess we'll see then. Any suggestions????
I guess they would have to redo the test or do the 3 hr test.....and figure things out from there.
Do they only deliver early if you really do have G.D.???

i have a ?. i read ur post in regards to u getting induced 3 weeks early because of the diabetes. im a lil nervous right now due to the fact that i failed my hr glucose test so i did the 3 hr ad i havent heard from them, so i dont know whats going on =( why is it that when u have diabetes u need to be enduced? and why so early? and what did u have to change? im just s nervous! well hope ur having a good day! =)

I wanted to let you know that I too am having my baby sooner. My due date is Nov 14 but I will have a c-section on the 3rd and my sister's have my shower planned to Sept. 27. I think that planning it at least 4 or 5 weeks before your due date is good timing.

Hi Diane! My name is Becky ~ I'm 21 weeks along, also. I read your post about stretch marks, and from what I've read, I think heredity has little to do with it. My mom had none, my sister had a few, I have A TON! They started at 14 weeks, and they have progressed since then. My butt and my boobs look as though I was attacked by something in my sleep ~ I don't dare try to count them . Anyway, I look at them as battle scars ~ pregnancy is tough, and hell if we didn't earn our stretchmarks, right?!?!

I have the same issue with the swelling, it's called edemia and what can help is compression hose or Ted Stockings, my Dr precibed them to me what will also helps is drinking plenty of water, I know it sounds strange but the more you drink the less your body will retain, and sleep with your feet elevated with a few pillows that helps too!

Oh my gosh! Couple of days ago I noticed that my feet and ankles were swollen. I couldn't really see my ankles and started to freek out but the next day I was normal. I remember I was really swollen with my 5 yr old at the end of my pregnancy. I was gross looking I swear my feet were so swollen & you couldn't see my ankles I had cankles lol.. I usually notice it when it is really hot. Soak your feet with hot water heard it helps.

We are having a GIRL! HAhah I can't believe it, I am in shock! I really honestly didn't care what we had, this is my husbands first child and I think he'd be such a good daddy to either, especially a girl, he's a cream puff when it comes to girls!
Seeing as I have two girls, I wouldn't mind having a son, but I miss my baby girls, mine are 14 and 15 now, and I loved when they were little sweeties!

both my girls were surprises but not intended that way. i asked 3 times on my first and every time her legs were closed tight or she was lying the wrong way. asked once on my second, couldn't make it out then either!!!!! wasn't meant to know:) when i was in hospital and they were trying to trace the heartbeat they gave me ice cold water to make her move, thats the only tip i have but it works
