August '07 32 Weeks

Hey There! My name is Sara; I'm 29 years old and am married to a wonderful man, John. We have 2 boys already, my oldest is 10 and my youngest is 2 1/2. This is our third child, would love a girl, but I love my boys too. Just want a beautiful healthy baby. I have been to the Dr. already a few times. I suffer from high blood pressure so they are keeping a pretty good watch on me. And right now, things are going great. I go back to the Dr. on Friday, hoping to hear the heartbeat for the first time. Can't wait!!!

6/22: I had my Dr. appt today and got to hear my baby's heartbeat for the first time! It was so exciting. The baby was moving so much they had time finding the heartbeat. Beats are at 155-160 a minute. Hearing the hearbeat just makes me that more anxious for the new baby to come. I get a little stressed about how I'm going to handle 3 kids, but I can't wait to make this family bigger. Next appt is 8/2 for my ultrasound. Next prenatal is 8/6/07. I'll keep ya'll posted.

8/5/07: Well, guess what?? It's a BOY!! I can't believe it! We are really excited. I'm a little sad knowing that I will never be having a girl since this will be our last child. But, like my mother in-law said, my boys just love their mommy. So, now we are trying to decide on names. Of course, we already had a girl name picked out and now we are deciding on boy names. What do you all think? Cole Michael or Travis Michael? Ugh, decisions, decisions!! I am also stuck between 2 different beddings. Not sure which I'll go with, but no animal prints this time. I really like the dark chocolate colors and I have found 2 different beddings that I love. So, hopefully I will decide soon and will post so you all can see it. I have my follow up appt with my OBGYN tomorrow to get the results of my AFP screening test and my ultrasound. This has actually been a horrible weekend for my family. In this middle of us finding out that we are having a boy, my sister in-law miscarried her first pregnancy. It's been really sad, she was 12 weeks along. So, we have been trying to stay happy and focused on our new baby, but our heart still goes out to her and her husband knowing that they have been trying for so long for their first child, and here I am on my third. Really puts things in perspective you know, I am so lucky to be having healthy pregnancies. Who cares if it's a boy and I will never be having a girl, I am having a healthy baby that is safe and that is what matters to me most. Anyway, I'll keep ya'll posted after tomorrows appointment.
