NOVEMBER 26th...

I have been visiting this website for a few weeks and finally decided that I wanted to join the network.

I am 10 weeks today. This is my husband and I's second child. Zachary will be 7 when this new baby comes along; which has me worried a little bit.

I have had regular visits to the doctor along with several ultrasounds already. The Dr. has discovered a 5 cm cyst on my right ovary. She is being very cautious by monitoring it's size and texture. The pain has been severe at times. I just pray that everything will be okay...in God's hands.

Congrats to all the NEW moms out there. This is a very special time!

Wednesday, 9 Jan

January 09...I had my 16th week Dr. visit on Monday, 1/07/08. Everything is going well. The fetal heartbeat was 145, down from my 12th week visit of 152. My next appointment is scheduled on 2/5/08. I will be 20 weeks and we are going to find out the gender. Only because my husband and my son can `t wait. LOL. Our son will be 7 when the baby is born and we want him to be involved in almost everything regarding the baby so, he will be going along to the ultrasond and finding out the same time his daddy and I will!! I can `t wait. I get more excited everyday!

How did the dr's appt go? All good I hope. My little protector, is truly an angel - he is SO good! Just waiting for him to wake up, so that we can do his last feed before bed. The spinal was great, because I really wanted to meet him when he was born, and the recovery was so much quicker than with the general I had last time. The surgery was so relaxed, with the surgeons chatting away and music playing in the background. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience, all things considered. We're home!! All went really well last Thursday and IT'S A BOY!! Harvey Liam joined us via scheduled c section, although my OB reckoned he would have joined us of his own accord that day anyway, when they hooked me up to the monitors and saw the contractions. And there was me thinking they were Braxton Hicks!! Being awake for the surgery was certainly an experience, but my OB had said that I would n't get to cuddle the baby as they would have to sedate me for the tumor removal. However, they didn't have to sedate me and he was in my arms for the whole of the second part!! Great for taking my mind off things! All looked good from that point of view and they didn't have to do the frozen section or further staging or take the ovary!!! All good! So, hoefully that's the end of that. We get the pathology report in a few weeks, just to be sure. By the way, Harvey means ready for battle and Liam means protector. So you can see why we choose his names!! Little one's awake - write more soon!!!

Hey there,
I've been hit by the nesting instinct too! Just can't stop cleaning, tidying and sorting things out! My section is booked for tomorrow, so, this time tomorrow, the little one will be here!!! Can't wait to meet him or her! They're going to do the tumor removal at the same time, so, hopefully that will be the end of that once I hit recovery! I've been anxiously awaiting the first signs of labor too, but doesn't look like I'm going to experience it - never mind! Hope all is well, take care of yourself and speak soon:)

Doing ok, I've had to start on beatblockers due to an increase in my blood pressure going up a bit. But other than that, all's well. I think we'll spend the weekedn jst getting the last few bits sorted, but how ready can you be? How are you doing? How's it going?

Yep, crib is all set and clothes are washed...I'm just not sure that WE are ready! But then I don't think you ever really can be!! 3 weeks on Thursday sounds SO close! Let me know how things are going with you...

Hey Lady,
Hope all is well with you. I had my ultrasound on Tuesday and the tumor hasn't grown, it's surrounded by fatty tissue and the ultrasound doc thinks it's a dermoid. Saw the oncologist and my OB yesterday, they are happy to schedule the section and removal on June 5th, so 4 weeks today! I can be awake for the section, but they will then have to knock me out for the removal. They may or may not have to take the ovary, it depends on what he sees when he gets in there. So fingers crossed for you and let me know...we're going to meet our babies VERY soon! Take care:)

Tell me about it!! I am sooo ready! I had my last one at this point, so am moving into uncharted territory...I've never been this pregnant! Picking things up off the floor is so hard! Let's see what the next few weeks bring.
I can't believe how clear these ultrasounds are, I'm hoping we get more pictures on Tuesday.

The same here. Still fighting diabetes, but doing very well. Going for an U/S & a non stress test next week to see how my little man is adapting to the insulin I 'm taking. I can't wait for him to arrive!!!!
